It’s worked out very well for Brighton under De Zerbi. They actually tried to play City, which was very refreshing to watch. Because virtually every other team City plays sit in extreme low blocks and the matches become unbearable to watch.
De Zerbi needs to learn from his mistakes. U can't play out from the back against this team. We made it a piece of piss for City. Embarrassing coaching

@@Fmfcg They are fun to watch. City are at another level but Brighton very much have a niche in the league and are excellent at bringing in young talent. Likewise, they reported record massive profits last month because they are so good at identifying young players and selling them for massive transfers within a couple years.

De zerbi is a good coach, Brighton's squad is weak. I dont think de zerbi is ready for a massive job but maybe man u could be a good fit. I don't think de zerbi can take this Brighton team further. As a neutral, City are so much more enjoyable to watch when opponents like Brighton and Luton (FA Cup match when Haaland had 5 goals) don’t just camp out on the edge of their own penalty area with 11 players behind the ball. Unfortunately, most clubs (Liverpool being an exception) do just that, including Real Madrid in the 2nd leg. Having said that, it’s very clear why City opponents virtually never attempt to play toe to toe with them in open space and instead revert to extreme low blocks. Because they can’t get anywhere near the ball and City’s quality shines through even more in an open space game. For all the criticism Haaland has recently received, it’s very clear that most opponents have attempted to squeeze both him and Alvarez out of the game and reduce matches with City to an 11v9 contest in the defensive third of the pitch. As a neutral, I completely understand why opponents do this against City but it really takes away from seeing both City and Haaland at their very best. Which, of course, is the reason why City’s opponents do precisely what they do.
Arsenal are the only team in the prem that can go head to head with City and play open football and win.

The whole conversation about best player is very warped. As good as Foden is, Rodri, Walker, and even KDB are more important to the City side than him. That’s not a knock on Foden but in terms of the team functioning at its best, players like Walker, Rodri, and KDB are more indispensable than Foden.
