Mam joh 2nd problem hai usme 2C2 kaise hoga...waha par toh teeno axis se hi c2 satisfy ho Raha hai .....or mam...I think waha PA C4 hoga kyuki z-axis k along le toh 4 hydrogen rotate Kar rahe hai....or C4 hoga toh obviously 4C2 hoga joh ki ek x-axis,y-axis or Baki dono diagonals se..... Or agr mam mera concept galat hai toh please mam yeh clear Kar dijiye please

Indeed there are 3 C2 axis. In ethene. Out of which one is considered to be principle axis, hence leaving us with two C2 axis perpendicular to the principle axis. That's my interpretation
Ma'am it will be helpful for me if you could clarify my doubt. For tetrahedral molecule ZA2BC all four atoms attached to Z are not in the same plane then how is it possible to have sigma V plane hence how is it possible to have Cs point group

If molecule has one type of axis of symmetry for example C2 /C3 then point group is Cn
Ma'am if phenanthrene has c2v point group because it's like h2o structure..they why anthracene has not point group D infinite H?
If we have two type of axis of symmetry that means both principal and subsidiary axis then we use Dn /Dnh/Dnd
But lone pair changes the geometry and 2 thing keeping molecules or imaging molecules in coordinate system is different
Looks like ethene has 3 C2.then how D 2h point grp is possible
