What a superb video... All concepts in just one video... Watching this video is an upper hand than watching all other videos of this topic on RUclips.... You are great sir... God bless you.. Thank you so much❤❤❤.
Thanks for watching this video! there are many more interesting videos on different topics, you can find them by going through my playlist. Keep watching!
Thank you for your explanation. I have a question related to the example in the minute: 14:34. On the previous video (right before this one) you have stated that the same molecule has a C6 and a sigma h symmetry, while on this one it is said that it has a C3 and no sigma h symmetry. Which is a bit confusing ! I'll be very grateful if you can explain it. Thank you in advance.
σh means a plane perpendicular to the principal axis. In water the principal axis is C2 and there is no plane perpendicular to that axis. So, water does not have σh
Thank for your comments. As I remember, the last example is related to the point group of allene. It has D2d point group due to the presence of Sigma d. For Dnh point group the molecule must have Sigma h. Please revisit this video for more clarifications.
No one explain that how c2 is perpendicular to principle axis howwwww everyone just say it no one explain it i dont get the answer yet how do we know that c2 is perpendicular to principles axis 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Thanks so much, this is how point groups should be taught!
Thanks for the complements!
This topic was teaching in my college bt I didn't understand but now is very clear to me
You are really a teacher, if i got a change i must salute you

Very helpful, I thought I understood the concepts until I did the examples. The examples help a lot, I found a pattern now
Glad it helped!
Wow, born teacher. Excellent explanations. Thank you Sir.
Excellent teacher! This helps so much! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Mind blowing u have good pedagogy skills
Best way of explaination 🔥🤗🤗
Glad you think so!
It can very very helpful, Thank you sir☺😊☺😇
Most welcome
It came very helpful for me. Thank you Sir.
You are most welcome
Thank yôu sir i easyly understand the point group
Jazak Allah❤
Dude thank you so much everything clear now
Glad I could help
thank you so much sir..so helpful
Thank you for your explanation.

Thank you i was searching for this😭
Very helpful 😊
Glad you think so!
Awesome sir
super sir thanks.u made it much simple
You are most welcome
@@ChemWis plz make much more videos in different topics to enlight us.
Thank you so much sir.
Can u plz help with what will be the point group of only Dibenzene
Which means 2 benzenes rings are connected with only 1 bond?
something is wrong: at 6:20 you say NO2 belongs to "c infini v" but it s C2v because it is non linear
Dear Eva, I have talked about N2O and not about NO2. Please revisit my lecture to clear your confusion
@@ChemWis indeed you re right sorry
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Please on heterocyclic compound
Please make more and more
Sir make, more videos in group theory
thank you very much🌸
Jazakallah khair
Sigma h means improper axis of rotation horizontal?
Yes
Hi ! We dont have a sigma in CH2ClBr ..the réflexion of Cl must be Cl and not Br
Thnx for explaining this it was so.good ❤
Thanks for your complements!
Plane will pass through C ,Cl and Br and reflect both hydrogen
Thanks
Im kind of confused on where the sigma plane was at 1:31
lol nvm found a source and i guess the plane bisect the Cl and Br atoms
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Thank you
You're welcome
🦅
Sir dnh ka matlab
More than one axis of rotation and horizontal plane perpendicular to principal axis
You reply to only those who appreciates you😂😂😂
If someone ask a question, you simply ignore
You failed as a teacher 😢
Thank you for the comments. I will try to become a good teacher.
Water has Sigma horizontal

Hi...
Thanks for your video❤️ but the last example your answer was D3d!
It should be D3h becouse we have Sigma d
Thank for your comments. As I remember, the last example is related to the point group of allene. It has D2d point group due to the presence of Sigma d. For Dnh point group the molecule must have Sigma h. Please revisit this video for more clarifications.
Wrong! there is no sigma h so why would you group it as D3h? D3d is correct
