Autumn weather seems to give clearer air and better views from the summit compared to summer. Thanks for the video.

Fall is a great time to hike these peaks. No threat of T storms and no bugs either, and the colors are amazing too. Thanks for watching

You got to love those sparsely populated hikes. Looks like a mentally relaxing hike.

Great that you have a wife who enjoys the outdoors and is capable of doing these challenging hikes.

I think she was trying to leave him when she was running down the trail. Hopefully he got back to the trailhead first. :)

An interesting autumn pre-winter ascent in a color-changed environment. Nice photo of the accomplished hikers at the top. Good drone footage outside the Wilderness. Fabulous night sky. Did I hear a little "nowhere man" in the music? Thanks for the video!

Thank you for showing the road in, and the surrounding peaks. I have only done Sneffles, but San Luis, Wetterhorn and Umcompaghre are all on my list. I am considering moving to Montrose as well.

The dirt road to the TH is pretty smooth. Only challenge is the second water crossing that requires some clearance. Those are all great peaks. Hard to go wrong with any mountain in the San Juans. Thanks for watching

Other than the wind, it looked like a perfect day. You both had the mountain and views all to yourselves, that's pretty special. Great night photos too. What will you be doing outdoors in the coming months?

Hi Vickie. Thanks for commenting. The La Garita range is quite remote and for that reason one can have lots of solitude. Will go back to hike more for sure. In colder months I’d keep hiking in lower elevations along the foothills. A couple of state parks I enjoy are Staunton and Golden Gate Canyon. Once snow is consolidated in late Spring I plan to do a few more snow climbs as well
