I know it's obvious to a lot of us here, but I think it's worth mentioning that these vocals look like they have been printed with a good bit of compression already on them.
Same here, I get quite uniform waves and I sing, scream, growl.. It's very important you record with as much constant tone you can, so you have to control your voice and learn to move closer and further from the microphone whenever you sing louder or quieter! Good luck!
Thank you for the perfect video! Are you still using the same plugin chain or have you updated it through the last 5 years? A new video would be great!
Love your videos man, they’re simply laid out and explain but lots of solid information. Question, I saw on another one of your screaming tutorials that you put your deEsser before the compressor, and this one it’s after. Thoughts? Thanks!!!
great video, exactly what I was looking for thanks man. How do you PAN those metal vocals though ?... can't get to find the right balance, do you place them around the front (10 -10) or front but wider (30 -30) or wide like 60- 60 ? I can't seem to get the right combination it's quite troublesome..
So did they record two different takes of each vocal part and combine them on different channels, or did they take the same vocal take and position them slightly differently on each channel to avoid phasing? The sound waves look slightly different but this could be because they used the same take twice but processed them differently
Hi @Darkest Point, please note that our V12 plugins are officially supported on REAPER 6 as well as many additional host applications other than Pro Tools. For more information, please refer to our list of Supported Hosts: www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/supported-hosts

You're wrong,I'm doing black metal vocals way harder than this hardcore guy and I'm around those levels with zero pre processing.

Awesome tutorial, exactly what I was looking for!
My mind is blown by the shaping done with the cla76. Gonna try this trick with guitars.
this was a huge help, thanks!
This is golden information.
Now it's time to make screamo trap music😎
Are you gay or something?

But this is high pitch loud screams. Does this work for deep screech brutal vocals or only for metal core screaming?
What DB are you at before going into the SSL?
Like the SSL Channel!!!
Awesome! Thanks.

This was great. Of course didn;t follow click for click, but the general idea got my vocals to the right spot. Thanks!
This helped me a lot!
thank you!
Any recommendations for James Hetfield-Justice type vocals?
Will VComp from waves do just as good?
Can you tell me what vocal technique you’re using?
Great 🙌🏻 Thank you!
would love to see a tut for a metal scream instead of a hardcore scream
Nice tutorial
How do you link the plug ins
Did you add the delay? Or was it baked in?
It's his stereo delay on a send. He talks about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/jA4zdARnNCU/видео.html

Thank you
You're welcome, glad you found it helpful!
Your video is amazing, but I have a question. No more clinical cleaning with EQ like FabfilterQ2 before SSL? Or just with ssl is enough?
It's got a nice EQ built in that you're running through a compressor bro. You're good to go.

It's 2 different takes at minimum. Jordan mentions how they're separate tracks but use the same exact settings because they are linked.
Always double vocals my dude
Are these plug-ins compatible with reaper or only pro tools?

Stereo
Bruh there’s reverb and delay on this video that wasn’t even discussed 🤔
that wasnt a raw vocal tho..
"Not very exciting, but this is what you get" - or get a vocalist who has great vocals!
The metal vocals sound girlish
