This was such an emotional ending. Like this was Joy’s only appearance, but she lost her mother because of COVID, and her sacrifice into becoming the star meant that she is at peace with her mother, and they’re happily together in the afterlife even if chronologically, timely distant. Plus Ruby appearing at the end feeling satisfied with the star shining, I was crying inside. But I’m glad it’s her first Christmas (and birthday) with her long lost mother. Like even if you think it was anticlimactic to have her parent being normal than just something even fantastical since the season 1 finale, nonetheless it just seems so nice to look at.
It would of been such a good bit of character growth for him >:( Especially after that interaction with him self as well, it sort of went nowhere I feel
It's neither guys. This is a very very standard musical motif where you're just going up and down on the piano. It doesn't even have the exact same notes as the background melody of Clara's theme. As to Abigail Song I just don't see it.
RTD's the showrunner and it's somewhat of a cursed position. Moffat was under fire a lot when he ran Doctor Who. Now that he's just a writer again, people love him. Even the Chibnall bashing has finally stopped. I suspect the same thing will happen when RTD steps down and some other poor soul takes over.
That ending was shit I'm sorry it was getting far too stupid beyond relief this is not "Dr. Who". And it was just very boring should had been titled "Boredom to the World".
Not gonna lie tho Even tho I like the ending and the soundtrack, the it was lacking the high stakes, tension. The episode was build, build, build and build then.. okay she becomes a star. So yeah it was okay episode just don’t expect like fighting a villain type of episode. Hopefully by next season we get better scripts for better story because the previous season was garbage. please don’t have the 15th doctor end up like 6th doctor stories (except vengeance of varos, that’s the good episode)
i love so much that part of the music from 4:39 😭
Beautiful music isn’t it
Yeah, I can’t control the tears😭😭😭
me too
that really touched me too
another beautiful piece by Murray Gold, reminiscent of A million dreams from the Greatest Showman
Yes! 🙂
The song at the end is just amazing. I can’t stop listening to it.
It's very Doctor Who... dreadfully somber with the loss of Joy but the undertone IS JOY... It's brilliant

Beautiful soundtrack 🥹
I loved this theme! There were parts of it that really reminded me of A Million Dreams from the greatest showman! Thanks for this! 😊😊
This is just beautiful...)
“ Joy to the world “
Hope Nicola coughlan returns as a companion in the future she would look good addition to Doctor Who
Well considering her character is dead that's probaly very highly unlikely.
@joshuajoshua2732 it's Doctor Who anything is possible
4:35 ❤❤
Nah, I'm actually salty it wasn't the doctor that gave her a phone ;-; 4:02

Why does it sound a bit like Clara's theme at 3:41?
Yeah it's the same melody as the beginning of 'Clara?' but faster
The piano is clara's theme but the melody is abigail song

It’s amazing how RTD does this it bombs Steven Moffat does it and it explodes with amazing reviews how wild is that?!❤❤❤
