@@dawidscheffler7152 Bricks are a superior DnD weapon. Using the flat side? Bludgeoning damage. Edge? Slashing. Corner? Piercing. It can do it all! Especially if you make the brick out of metal. Now the corner is very pointy, the edge very sharp, and the flat side even flatter! And if the enemy is far away, just throw the brick at them for ranged damage! Learn the fabricate spell and cast a brick today!

A lawful good eloquence bard with a high charisma and a decent wisdom will be better at this than any paladin.
Yea, my paladin had to stop the party from killing themselves at least 3 (up to 5) times in like 2 minutes in a location full of creatures and people at least 9 levels higher than us, with a literal Archdevil in attendance as well. Thing is, my paladin is Lawful Evil and the rest of the party is of better alignment 😂

Odds of the Paladin fixing two of the three adventurers is about 3%... but Nixie...You can't fix a destructive force of absolute chaos.

I have the lingering feeling, Half Elf, Pink and the Bard did create a lot of Oathbreakers. 😅
If I was crazy enough to drop a paladin at a table with people like this, I would be playing oath of conquest. Embrace the evil.
Could play Blackguard if they're still a thing and start out as an evil Paladin.

@@alexkoder1982 in 5e, Paladins can be any alignment and there are definitely some Oaths (like Oath of Vengeance) which go really well with evil paladins. There's also the Oathbreaker which is a Paladin who failed to live up to their original oath and now have different powers.
Once the murderhobos show themselves to be complete monsters, it's time to stop playing nice and SMITE.

I figured the warlock and the rogue would be a perfect duo. Chances are in his rantings of Zazgadoth he wouldn't even be aware she is even there hanging around him, though. She could then rob everyone he mind blasts. Win win.

I always love the characterization. The paladin, the aquatic cleric, the tabaxi rogue. It's so full of personality, hopefully to appear on more skits in the future.

@@SharienGaming Yeah, I think we will see him again. The other Paladins all left because I guess they understood that if they stayed, they would break their oaths, and their alignment would shift. This guy accidentally broke his and might be suffering in the sanity department...

"I cast brick!" is the best spell I have ever seen, you dont even need spell slots for that!!!
But it does take a rather heavy and awkward to carry spell component to cast.

After playing BG3, I found that Oathbreakers don’t necessarily have to be evil or bad, they seem to still be able to do good if they want to but without their holy stuff.

1:30 i never thought i've heard about this one since there were 2 episodes where antrius rizzed those 2 paladins into quitting their group sessions (and proven to one of the episode with a tally as to how many paladins antrius got themselves walk off lol)
edit: now that i thought about it, i wonder how many of those other paladins on the list became an oathbreaker because of them

Was in a game once when we encountered a demon and we were all trapped in a room with it. She wanted to negotiate a deal that could get us all out, but said it had to be a good person to make the deal. Looked at my character and said hopefully I was close enough to work. At that point being chaotic neutral I backed into a corner and took a look at everyone else, thinking that if I was the closest to a good person here that this situation might be a lot worse than I'd initially thought
Quick DND Question: Why does the paladin develop "cracks" on his face? I noticed that Dame Ailyn in BG3 had the same apperance. I thought it was just an Aasimar thing.
Its just a way for them to show how the Paladin is being corrupted. A aesthetic to show the cracks that have formed in his spirit has also now affected him physically, now that he has become an oathbreaker paladin, that the act of breaking an Oath that he truly dedicated his life to, in of itself has power
TLDR: it looks and is a way of showing that he has truly become an Oathbreaker Paladin
Dame Ailyn has some strange mojo keeping her imortal, cracks are not Aasimar thing. Cracks here are him losing it. Not connected.
I assumed it was injuries she endured in the soul cage. Whatever damage Thorm received, it would reflect onto her instead.
I think they are supposed to be veins.

A paladin is a holy crusader, someone who has devoted their entire being to their deity and oath; take that level of devotion and have it shattered, you can expect the psyche and literal image to break a bit too.
Quite literally: the cracks in his faith are showing.

Funny thing is I actually just read something about this and technically he should only have to perform light penitance for unintentionally going against his Oath. It's only a deliberate betrayal of the Oath that breaks it

No, ESPECIALLY the warlock. Just so we can see how quickly a party full of "main character syndrome" types fall into infighting after they pull the same stuff with each other that pissed off the actual main character Murderhobo ™ party.

Well, it took the party 3 more minutes to corrupt that paladin than I thought it would. I guess that's progress, and character growth. Perhaps in another 30 to 40 years, Nyxie will start thinking before she burns people to death.

This is what’s happening in my Baldur’s Gate 3 campaign right now. I’m playing The Dark Urge but trying to resist it, and my best friend is just doing a straight-up evil guy.

Ahh, i love this paladin. These types of chracters ate my absolute favorite and i will now be making a character off of this. I want to see more of him so bad!!!
i usually got stuck playing cleric/fighter. . but my fav alignments were CN, CE, or LE. we used to call chaotic neutrals 'chaotic stupid' because they did things like create food and water spells over the heads of enemies in narrow corridors while in combat... or throwing molatov cocktails in corridors with low ceilings. lol. ce - didnt usually last long because the party often hated them as much as lg dweebs. le was a nice balance. loyal to the party to a point, but always looking out for the self in the end.
I must have a full arc for the oathbreaker, just like you guys did with the pacifist barbarian and the cleric.

I remember playing a half-orc redemption paladin, and he was pretty much the exasperated adult of the party despite being the second youngest member of the party. He was in circumstances that forced him to grow up very fast.
Another day, another chance to watch the Awful Ones drain the light from a paladin’s eyes 😅
That wasn't anything he needed to atone for. He tried to help and he should have had the time to lay on hands.

When Oath of Redemption met murderhobo adventurers. I don't see any way to not go oathbreaker XD
Through all of the different iterations of d and d ( since the original d and d before it became 'advanced') I have mostly played chaotic good players.
Either the paladin becomes and Oathbreaker or Oath of Vengeance (Oath of Vengeance because realizing some people are beyond repentance and only a good smite to purge their evil).
This is why The Abbot can be such a good villain in Curse of Strahd
I have a feeling the cleric, both paladins, the other bard, and the barbarian will eventually fight the Awful Ones, the rogue, and the Druid. Good versus evil, but surprise, the evil ones are the ones we were following
