4k60 New York Cycling Path: FDR and East River Greenway Lower Manhattan (2020)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 окт 2020
- Filmed in October 2020/ The route started at Battery Park and ended at East 72nd. Although the East River Greenway aka FDR Drive bike path is quieter, you can see the skyscrapers of downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and Williamsburg Bridge. We recommend you take a bike ride along the East River Greenway.
NOTE: Enjoy the #EastRiverGreenway waterfront view in the best quality by setting the VIDEO QUALITY to the possible highest resolution!
The East River Greenway is approximately 9.44 miles long and is parallel to the Frankly D. Roosevelt East River Drive for most of the path. The path connects with the Hudson River Greenway at the bottom of Manhattan. There are some great views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, waterfront, FDR drive, United Nations, and the East River. The path is not as developed as the Westside in terms of pavement and accessibility. The views are still worth it despite the pavement being a little bit rougher here and there. Be aware of the construction, narrow paths, and possible renovation closures.
Can you run along the East River Greenway?
Yes. You can walk, run, or bike.
Can you bike all around Manhattan?
Yes. You can use the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway but will have to go inland to the streets at certain parts on the east side.

hahaha a big thank you ~~~
A very beautiful tour!
Thank you very much! Have a wonderful day!
Much of the pathway is closed for construction. And the city seems content with keeping it closed and has no intention of cleaning up the mess. Entrance to the Greenway by Pier 42 park is blocked with fencing and no work is going on. You can get on the pathway off of Houston Street but then it closes again by 20th Street. I take 1st Avenue northbound by 20th Street and either get off at 42nd Street to Grand Central or head northbound to Central Park off of 60th Street or 61st Street. 61st street is better because it has less congestion and a bike path. 60th Street has no bike paths and ton of traffic. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views.
this is a good tour! weather seems nice while cycling around
It was a wonderful day to bike around! Thank you for watching!

Hello) Are you using post-processing? The picture is very interesting
Just tiny bit of polishing. Hope you like it.
Great scooter ride and the views are amazing! Is yours the electric?
Yes it is! We just got a new one.
i never could get to the water part, probabaly cause i can't follow directions lol..
Hahaha it can be confusing in the east side but definitely worth paying a visit.
Were you going 5mph? My goodness.
18:56 might be the worst "bike lane" in history. You're actually supposed to dismount here. I did it yesterday and found it extremely unpleasant.
The only good thing is it is a short stretch. I have to stop my bike when another cyclist is approaching or someone is walking their dog toward me. This area has loads of joggers. I've never seen more women joggers than in this section of Manhattan.
