The day after Christmas, my wife surprised me with Lifetime FSD for our Model Y AI4 that she'd been secretly saving up for all year. As awesome as v13.2.2 is in Texas, she still won't drive the car at all. Love the videos! Keep it going. I love the reaction videos.
@@CanadaFSDHer justification was (aside from getting me to stop talking about it) was to have no lost money if we bought it later, especially with the frequent option to transfer it to a new model. But yeah, mainly to get me to be quiet. 😂
FSD 13.2.2 is very good with some flaws and regressions. -starts to go on a Red light after stopping for 10 seconds -lane drifts a lot local and highway even with vehicles beside it -drives way too close the curb, doesn't stay in the middle of a lane. -tends to speed enough to warrant a traffic ticket, even with the max speed set at 0% off set. Chill mode is too slow causing tail gaters -wipers are better but at times wipes for no apparent reason. Also dry wipes suck and it should use washer fluid sparingly -wrong lane choice, late lane changes -hurry mode and ridiculous levels of lane changing making it more dangerous in especially bad weather -does not proceed on a stop sign with flashing red light -changes lanes on solid white line sometimes -sometimes tries to make the light on a late yellow -does not make a right turn after stopping and sometimes goes on a no right turn on red -sometimes totally ignore navigation route lol These are some of the problems Currently on FSD 13.2.2
Oh shit, you guys are local. Good to see it being tested out here in the Langley and Surrey area. There us a very tight windy road that might be fun to test it on. It's the scenic route on the way to Belcara. There are some nice scenic tight windy mountain roads around to try.
Hello from a fellow canadian. I guess you'll are from vancouver and it handled itself in the rains easily. No issues. Took it on East Hasting Street and it has some moves. I use Hurry profile and it drives like a possed person.
@@CanadaFSD V13.2.2.1 The V13.2.2 got pulled back. I saw your another video. I agree with you it follows to closely for my taste. I should keep atleast 3 car lengths on a highway.
I agree with her, I don’t really like FSD in housing developments or in parking lots. It drives a little too close to other cars and if someone opened up their door at the last moment, just makes me feel uncomfortable
@@Cmppayne26542 yeah very fair. If I’m not filming I usually just drive manually, but for the videos it’s interesting to see and talk about the progression in parking lots
@@stevenbarkess7791 yeah v13 is a notable change, you’ll really be impressed when you try it. I did the drive from Squamish to Langley and Timelapsed the whole drive. ZERO interventions, so crazy that a car can drive me that far without any human input.
@ yeah I am honestly a bit fascinated with how far behind the UK is with regards to autonomous driving. I appreciate governments being careful about this sort of thing, but it seems silly to basically not allow FSD at all.
Suggestion - first drive with your parents - don't tell them you are using FSD and stay close to the steering wheel pretending to drive. Also give your wife a month and have the conversation again on a repeat video, with a focus on parking lots.
I don't get it I'm in Ontario I just got a model Y a few weeks ago and just downloaded FSD 13. I have to keep my hands on steering wheel otherwise it nags me. Is there settings I am missing? Also my auto park does not seem to be available? Is that in settings as well? My car had less than 1000km's on it so far is that why maybe? Things are still calibrating ect.?!?
The cameras might still be calibrating but it is unlikely. Did you make sure that you accepted the terms and conditions of FSD? It is not on by default. Only basic autopilot is available by default and you need to go into the “autopilot” settings tab to enable it
Thank you! I am very new to the autopilot and have not had much time to figure it out. I was at a Tesla service center today getting snow tires and I explained the autopilot situation.. He said do you wear that baseball hat while driving.. I tried on the way home without my hat on and I was able to drive all the way home without touching a thing. Very impressed. Thank you for trying to help! I also did not know the autopark only works with FSD "on" . Can it just be on and not engaged and auto park will work? I will have to try next time
@Cen655 yeah I love mine, it’s so much cheaper to drive than my old gas car - and it feels like I’m driving a spaceship. Any questions at all I’m happy to answer
As it stands FSD is a product only for hardcore Tesla enthusiasts. No normal person wants to be on edge their entire drive wondering if the car is going to swerve into oncoming traffic. Once full robotaxi is completed and its safety has been verified by multiple 3rd party organizations then I think it will be big.
@@alltheparts yeah that’s a fair comment. I think if you spend time with FSD you begin to relax, but certainly people’s first impression is to be on edge - just because the technology is so new.
