    Awesome video, this is fantastic information. Thanks for explaining the copyright stuff so well because its actually quite complex.

      @@JennyHansenLane Honestly you answered everything already. If I do have more questions I'll let you know though. I've been selling on Etsy and had been thinking of maybe trying book covers. On Etsy I do POD and digital downloads and I've had a decent amount of success so far. Hoping to really step it up in 2025 and do even better.

    You are selling to humans not AI so use AI to your advantage and have your creative touch on what it generated, that's the rule I go by!
    Your content's value is genuinely helpful..

    I am kinda lost....so the prompts should be our own, and we should be making a cover by generating many small separate images?

      @@Anam_Anwar yeah, to protect your work, you need a paper trail. I’ll do another video on this.

    Great info thank you. I have a query tho. I thought by having canva pro you have the rights to use anything made with it for profit or for a business? I made a logo for a business using a pro element 😬

    • @JennyHansenLane
      @JennyHansenLane  16 дней назад +3

      You can use pro for business but you can’t copyright anything with pro elements. Your logo needs to be designed without pro elements to get a copyright or trademark on it.

    Hi Jenny. Congratulations on another very useful video. Got a question: do you use one pen name for all your books or you use separate en names for different types of books you release (simply asking different pen names to different niches)?

      Because thats the rules. Canva PRO elements can only be sold inside the Canva template link, that is how the creators get paid. If you export Canva PRO elements as PDF and sell PDF we are not getting paid any more for artwork we uploaded to Canva to sell. Canva PRO Elements library is the store for artists to sell their art. Canva is paying us when Canva users use the art (export it). If you only export once, we only get paid once.

      @MarinaArtDesign they don't make that obvious to me which is a shame if artist are loosing out. Do pro user's have to pay more then for this extra process or is just the way of exporting it to trigger artist acknowledgement and payment etc thats being over looked?

    Thank you Jenny for all your effort and tips. Did I understand correctly: when you create a cover with AI but you use a custom prompt that you created, is AI-assisted and can be copyrighted? This video gave me a bit of anxiety over not being able to financially protect my work yet.

      Pro elements already have copyright owners by the artists and they don’t extend the license to us.
