Grand Job Lass..... You put most mechanics to shame, you should be very very proud..... Now wrap it in tissue and put it in the Garage....... OR..... better still go and get it really dirty... :-))) Take care and stay safe..... :-)))) xx
The workmanship the thoroughness and the extensive and comprehensive knowledge are off the charts. The Defender looks fantastic. Rebuilding these vehicles should be your full time job and corroless should be a major sponsor. Enjoy your 110 and make some videos of your adventures in it.
Once again you demonstrate just how dedicated you are and showing your attention to detail. Really look forward to future videos of you and the Land Rover. Stay well.
I have always been a VW guy, and have a 72 Beatle and a 80 Westi which are my true loves, but you have shown through your videos how cool the Land Rovers are! I didnt think there were any vehicles that rusted more than the old VW's!! Your work is top notch! I love your passion! Congrats on the MOT!!
Well done Sophie, proud moment and justification for all of your hard work. Always a comforting to know your pride an joy is less likely to rust away before your eyes. MOT date provided a good reason to 'focus' I expect!
I'm still so impressed that a young woman such as yourself, has a strong passion for these cars, and that your work is 'top-notch'!!! Your experience shows, which means you must have done loads of Landies, from when you were knee high, totally amazing. Cant wait for the next project, and 'Hey, Land Rover, give her a flippin job!!'. Great work Sophie, you never cease to brighten my day. xx
Fantastic job !! This series has been wonderful !! You did a GREAT job at every turn !!! Thank you for sharing your journey !!! Stay safe and God bless you and your family !!!!!! Eddy
Even though it is months later after you posted the video, congratulations on passing the MOT, and I love how dedicated you were throughout the whole process! :) Absolutely brilliant! :)
Fantastic work. Attention to detail, knowledge, work ethic, skills, perseverance, care. You are without doubt the genuine article. I've worked in engineering for over 30 years and I've never seen anyone like you. You are inspiring.
You have done some very good work under difficult working conditions. I am lucky enough to work in my heated garage. I can't even imagine what it's like to do this work outside in weather conditions just bearable for playing rugby. I have enjoyed your series. Looking forward too your next adventure.
Sophie, all that hard work, dedication, attention to detail, working in all weather has paid off for you. An excellent job that would most professionals to shame. Now you need a holiday to warmer climates & put your feet up.
Excellent job! At least you can say you’ve done it yourself 🙏 get yourself a cushion or padded mats to work on. Avoid kneeling on the hard floor as you’ll regret it in later life 👍🏻
Great job Sophie keep up your good work and with the posting of your video’s I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the progress and your welding is good so don’t let anyone say other wise. I had to teach myself to weld too. Cheers Brian
Marvelous work getting your rig shipshape and my favorite Rover color as well, if only I could find one in my cheapskate price range here in the Colonies. Keep on truck'in with the great videos, every one gets better than the last.
Oh, Sophie!!! Well done.... every time I've switched on the computer over the last three months I've been checking to see this episode had been posted... AT LAST!! :-) You should be really, really proud of what you've done, especially under such awful conditions. I did check and saw that you put him in for the MOT on the 3rd of December..... Thank you so much for sharing this story with us. I wish we could meet you one day. Best wishes from the 'soft south'. XX Paul & Janet
Congratulations of the restoration and MOT Pass, I really enjoyed the series! Your Defender looks great and I hope you inspire more young people to show the art of the possible.
MASSIVE respect to you Sophie!! Here I am making videos only when it's dry, not windy and warm. There you are on your knees in the cold, wind and rain!! If I may offer one little tip.. the spray head on the wax injection tool is very easily broken, it appears to be quite brittle? Ask me how I know lol.
well you've worked hard ( and your mates ) and pulled it off :) its a big well done from me and to be quite frank my arse would have gone if i had tried to do that , cant beat someone with a passion for summat and it shows in all your vids ;)
Great work Sophie. One bit of advice. Having had the suspension apart, it's worth giving the suspension articulation a good work out before getting the tracking done. Drive it up any big kerbs, or speed bumps to let everything settle.
I remember when I bought my 110 and it looked identical to yours, she now sports a few choice upgrades to do the job needed. I'll be doing my chassis protection this summer too. Great job, well done.
Another great video Sophie. Live the attention to detail. I couldn't agree more about replacing those suspension components while you were working on that general area. Think I'll be taking a similar approach myself on an old car I'm working on. I don't fancy using those spring compressors though. I hear they can be dangerous if the break loose. Keep up the good work.
Respect Sophie. All those long cold days in the rain have paid off. Land Rover should give you a job in their nice warm factory. Best wishes.
You've done a cracking job, you should be very proud of the work you've done.
Your work ethic is to be admired Sophie...keep it up and the 110 came together 🤘👌

11/10 ......Pat on the back !..
Well done Sophie! You should sell it as a series to Channel 4! "Sophie gets her Defender through it's MOT, rain or shine ".
It looks like new underneath Soph, your work is sublime

I need to look at that chassis wax.... the internals are my nemesis.
