I saw the 2025 Countryman at the dealer when i dropped off my 2013 Hardtop for service. it was beautiful but my first thought was "it's not a MINI anymore!". I still like the classic look of my 2013 - especially the center odometer. Can't keep it forever though!
I want one SOOO bad. It looks awesome. Can't wait to drive it. Oh, and I'm 56.
I had the 2015 Countryman S, and I subtly liked the minor changes up until this very big refresh. I think the previous designs had an elegant, sporty luxury feel. This new design feels corporate office.

It gives me the vibes of an old Singer sewing machine... which most are now just antiques.

Has so much personality!!! Love this car design even if it isn't for me per se (I don't like everything on that bathroom mirror), and am glad it exists. Seems like a fun drive Minis are underrated.

I have a 2023 Countryman…the only thing better on this new one is the thicker steering wheel…I prefer the round lights on mine, the very min switches on the inside, and the overall size and looks of mine…that center console looks hideous…looks like someone stuck a pop socket on the dash…
I agree. They took so much of the fun out of this new one. Those toggle switches in your version are really cool!
I have the 2023 and it’s as fun as it gets. This one is very plastic and cheap feeling.
Like the AWD and horse power but the design choices for the interior and exterior are a miss for me.

This is just so cool!! It's too small for me, but I think this appeals to the GenXers and those who love a lot of tech features.

@@Lexrolla-1 My friends will tell you that I have trouble with irony and/or sarcasm, so I don't know what to make of your response. (😕) I didn't know that Teslas require this as well, although it makes sense since they only have the one screen. Again, how is this safe? More to the point, how is it legal? Infotainment touchscreens are already problematic, but at least the norm is to separate stuff like speed, fuel, and engine information from the other functions.

@@Lexrolla-1Model S is the only one with gauges in front of the driver and then the touchscreen in the middle. Of all Teslas, I think the S is the most appealing.
Try it the next time your in the car, you'll find its easier and more fluid motion

If that display fails over time, think of the thousands of moola you'll be spending to replace it.I used to always drive new cars, but with all the new tech displays that are replacing the buttons & switches, I only look forward to used cars now.I prefer the 1st and 2nd generation of the Mini Countryman.

What going wrong I mean on with MINI ?
For a mini it's too bug, but it's an interesting alternative to an Acura RDX. I however hate the 1 screen infotainment system with no Guage cluster setup.
Did Enzo have a original Mini or did he have a BMW mini?
I could be mistaken (can’t be bothered to look it up), but I think Enzo died before BMW took over MINI
yes Enzo passed away in '88 and BMW took over Mini in '96
Why do people keep mentioning the size ? Mini also make a small version the 3 door hatch but they don’t suit family’s so mini have made them a bigger version
I like it , I wish you could get it without the red roof in every color, why can’t the roof choice be black at least, a standard version countryman will get you 241hp + I went to the mini dealer yesterday and talked to the salesman because they had JCW model there to show off the salesman told me the hp in the standard countryman was actually 255! I’m curious if this is true
I've been researching for a while now but can't seem to pull the trigger. I've gone through so many designs. Yes you can get it with a black roof. As a matter of fact, that's all I pretty much see at the dealership. 2025 Minis with Black roofs.

I really want to like Mini Coopers, but it just isn’t for me when everyone around me is driving a monster truck. It’s a bit nerve racking. I used to drive a clubman regularly as a jazzy work car lol.
You should honestly try a Countryman. You sit a lot higher up. Personally, I like how low the hardtops and clubman are, but totally see where you’re coming from with really tall trucks and suvs

It’s 2024 and legacy mfgs are still using underpowered processors for their UI. In a world of Tesla screens, smartphones, and iPads and they give us laggy UI 👏

See Jeep and Ferrari for example where even the tachometer lags. Now that's embarrassing.

Do the designers of new Minis and BMWs have to strain mightily to make them so ugly? Or is it effortless, some sort of horrible hellish gift?
I’m a Mini enthusiast. I’m currently in my fourth and last Mini since I was waiting for this upcoming countryman. The JCW is about 50 grand and definitely not worth it. The hardtop SE is a great car but a bad EV. And the gas engine countryman looks more like a Kia in my opinion
No info on back seat, no walk-around as usually it is done and no info on boot space...

I hate hearing over and over and over and over again about the brand being mini but this particular car in their lineup being large. Literally every video and writeup. Every video. Every writeup.
This. I've noticed many negative reviews about Clubman or Countryman typically say "no longer MINI anymore, 0-stars". It's like giving a Suburban a negative review because it no longer drives like a Camaro. Rather than make the correlation that he Countryman is MINI's "equivalent" to a Suburban and is in fact way smaller and more nimble, thus maintaining the MINI ethos. Just my $0.02

Kinda speaking as a MINI fan, but this review was crazy negative and completely misaligned with other reviewers. Also… this is the most expensive version of the new Countryman, so that figure is as high as it gets.
I find her to be one of the worst reviewers, personally. I usually skip the KBB review if it's her. Sadly, as with many "auto journalist" these days she doesn't seem to have any credentials that would make her "reviews" meaningful

You also don’t need any “credentials” to be an Automotive Journalist, just that you like vehicles and have a passion to share your opinion with others.
My issue with this particular review is that KBB as a whole is negative towards MINI as a brand. Most likely because they cannot comprehend (as a company, not the individual reviewer) what MINIs mean and how important they are.

bro I wouldn't buy a mini. in my area a mini stalled on the bridge and a truck plowed into it from the rear. all 3 in the mini died and the truck driver was in critical. yeah no way in hell. u get into a bad wreck ur chances of survival is not good. can u imagine someone in a mini crashing into someone in a cybertruck?
Why did you review this car when you have no idea about Mini's? Mini people will love this car because of all its quirkiness.
