Congrats Jason and Su! Mate I have to tell you, the way you handled your first year in Thailand should be made into a book for all to read before taking the plunge. You did the single guy thing without falling into any traps. You stayed on course and avoided getting hurt, let down or taken advantage of. Good things come to those who wait my friend. Take it slow, enjoy the process of getting to know your beautiful girlfriend. I am so happy for you and Su mate. I didn't want to post anything until I saw you confirm this relationship. Sending blessings and good vibes your way. The channel is going to evolve a little now. A little more Thai culture added ( no disrespect to Manu and Rachael) hahahaa. Thanks for always keeping it real, bringing us great content and now showing us your happiness.

Yes I was determined to stay single and out of any kind of trouble for well over my first year and managed to do so. I will make a video on how I met Su as its quite a nice story plus of course much different content, especially as you say, Thai culture. Su is very well educated, highly intelligent and of course, very sweet and kind, I am a very lucky boy.

I do like the car videos. I loved that Volvo, but i'd wonder how much more difficult it would be to keep it serviced well or if you had an issue while traveling.
I am shocked there aren't more convertibles. I miss having one of those.

Finally!! This is what I have been waiting for. Good on you mate!! (best I can do as an American) Love the car videos. I will buy a used Toyota or Honda, or Mazda when I come over (fingers crossed). Won't buy any of our American cars. Not a fan. I drive Korean over American. Just my opinion.

Hi Jason, when it comes to pick ups, why are the Mitsubishi's here cheaper than Isuzu or Toyota? We are looking and figured you might know! Would love a car vid on pick ups here, and congrats on meeting the lovely Su!
Hi mate, Isuzu is the number one seller followed closely by Toyota and the remaining Brands are miles away in terms of sales, reputation, Aftersales service and ownership experience all make the difference and that also has a big impact on resale value. Mitsubishi’s are good but just not as popular here. A friend is selling a great Hilux that is late 2022 with only 5,000 ish kms if you are interested, it’s in the following video

Can you trust the km reading on the cars ? + what about hidden water damages? 🤔 Great vid 🙏
In terms of km readings, I don’t know 100% but you can check by taking it to a dealer like Mazda if a Mazda and they can check but that also depends on whether the car was serviced by a Mazda dealer, water damage from floods needs a massive inspection on a car lift/hoist, pulling up carpets etc but even then it could be so well detailed and prepared that you may not know, safer to buy new if budget allows. Alex at PP Autosport I have known for quite some time and he generally has good genuine cars 👍

Proud owner of a Craptiva here haha - not offended at all they deserve their reputation. It requires an owner that either is very mechanical or accepts that servicing it fully and on time is not an option like say it would be with a typical japanese car.

Cars look clean. I will take any solid BMW if I have a local tech to repair the known wear points, but, a small SUV would be more practical for touring SE Asia.

Those 2010 /2012 Mazda 2’s go for around 110,000 THB on the used market in Thailand and they’re usually autos. As for the manuals, they’re worth around 90~100k. Most dealers in Thailand are making around a 40~50 k THB profit on each sale.

Should have gone for a Mazda 3 in the first place.
Mazda 3 with 2.0 ltr normal aspirated engine and a proper 6 speed auto is reliable and good looking.
Forget Mercedes and BMWs and Audis, their reliability has gone since 2005 and cost a lot in Thailand compared to a reliable Toyota or a Mazda.
I recon about 2000 they started to make cheap rather than quality the service department is where the money is so if it breaks good for the dealership especially if it's out of warranty that's why they only offer 3 years value for money cannot beat an older Toyota Mazda or Honda but yes the Merc was nice but you could nearly buy an old condo on the east side of Pattaya for that money 😅

I have investigated this many times and my now Thai girlfriend Su worked in the banking industry for over 12 years, yes it’s possible if you have a Thai national as a guarantor on the loan
Congratulations you will be very happy I have a Thai Sue too 555 happily married 15 years if and when you start living together you will need a new vacuum cleaner their bloody hair falls out everywhere but they are clean freaks just like you especially personal body wise so make sure you shower 2 or 3 times a day 5555 as for the cars pang in Thailand I think brand new is the way to go unless you buy like you did Maxine old but a plum from a friend of a friend or a falungs thats going home because they can't handle the heat and humidity anymore believe me lots leave for exactly that reason after about 5 years or they run out of money love your down to earth videos chork Dee krub with khun Sue

yeah when MG filed for bankruptcy a Chinese manufacturer bought the tooling etc and started manufacturing in China there made for a price say no more. Generally very small engines..
