This video was shot on my street when I was in high school and all my neighbors are in the beginning. It was cool of them to let us all watch it being filmed. Just sucked I was so shy. I used to be hard core emo and still love hard rock and octane xm. Listened to Armor for Sleep regularly after the video, wish I had met them when I had the chance. Now I bring my kids here to see their grandparents street and car in a super cool music video. Oh how times change.
Seems like you've known yourself. That in itself is pretty rare and awesome. Teach your kids how to do that. Shame was probably why you were emo an now self actualized ... It sucks but pass it on..
What a cool connection to have to the band. I love this video because you can tell it's just a bunch of random people they asked to be in it, and they told a good story with very simple techniques over this awesome song. Thanks for sharing that
@@-.-Monster never really looked at our generation and the big part emo culture played in it as a negative or harmful thing. Despite arguments like it encouraged romanticizing self-harm or whatever, these bands helped millions of us who grew up in that era deal with very personal emotional issues and still do to this day for many of us. I really dislike the “this band saved my life” notion but at the end of the day, this music kind of did in a way.
Leather Pants Guy oh stfu. You think he personally joined the military to go steal oil? Don’t be an asshole. Blame the douchebags running the country. Not the citizens who genuinely risk their lives to defend American soil.

Thank you for your service. That being said I dont think you are fit for war. This song is about suicide. You cant go to war when the person next to you wants to die.
The emo in us never dies. We just learn to grow but our roots still remain. 2005 MySpace high school days brought me to them. 31 now. Had to relive some shit 💙
“Don’t believe that it’s better when you leave everything behind Don’t believe that the weather is perfect the day that you die” Those lyrics are so damn deep
I loved these guy's in middle school, woke up and got ready for school everyday and this song was definitely on my morning playlist! Very nostalgic and sentimental song for me!
Had this on repeat back in high school. 30 now and had to come here to relive some bad memories. But it was nostalgic to say the least. This & Car Underwater are my favorite Armor for Sleep songs. It's my go to Emo music.
I went to grievance counseling in high school with other students once a week when a good friend passed away. I printed up the lyrics so everyone knew the words ahead of time, read them out loud, and broke the song down for them. After seeing the music video they were all in tears. Not that it was a competition, but i wanted them to know why I chose this song.
I can't even begin to describe how nostalgic this song is for me. I went to HS from 2004-2008 .. this genre of music was very popular then. They're from Teaneck, NJ -- 25 mins from my hometown
Man time flys so fast. Remember being a freshman in high school jamming to this and many more. Good times man. Makes me a bit sad but life goes on I guess.
I started looking at more songs from this band once I realized they were on tour with Bayside.....and fell in love with this song!! ❤❤ I can't stop listening to it!!!
2019 still listening guys. Love this song forever, my best friend is currently battling a hard time waking up from a brain tumor and she hasn’t woken up yet, I left America for japan and really can’t go back at the moment but I just want to let her know I’m there for her and that I will be so sad if she leaves this earth. We used to listen to this album all the time
Got a chance to see this guys last month at When We Were Young 2022, and honestly their set was the best part of the day for me. These guys got me through so much back in high school, and getting to be in a crowd and mosh to this song and Remember To Feel Real was basically a religious experience for me.
i recently lost my baby sister she was only 1 year and 7months and everytime i hear this song. i just cry because i just wonder how she is doing and if she wishes to be here with the family. i love you baby
The sound is great, the video is in a first vision funny, but with the lyric, all changes. This is sad and fucking genial music. Miss Armor For Sleep, a amazing band that unfortunately did not the success it deserved and ended...
This song is equally beautiful as it is heartbreaking. "I came down here to tell you it rains in heaven all day long. I want to find you so bad to let you know I'm miserable up here without you" Sixteen years later and it hits even more than it did then and I'm 31. I miss this music and this time period. I wish my son could experience shows at fuel coffee house and warped tour the same way I did. Times are so different. Xoxo
Reminds me of Catherine and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. Catherine dreamed that she died and went to heaven and was sad because she wasn’t down with Heathcliff
I absolutely love this song. But it's rare that I don't cry when listening to it. My best friend passed away in June is 2020 and it reminds me of him every time. 💙
I got to meet Armor for Sleep when they came here to Birmingham back in 2007 or 2008...somewhere there's a picture of us on my computer that I gotta find one day. 🤘😎
The thing I love about this song and sorry if this is too dark but it's a mirror song like there's them on the other side singing this to us and us standing 6 ft above can sing it back in certain parts of the verses. Thanks for this song
Most underrated "emo" band of all time. Their first two albums are flawless from cover to cover. I'm glad to see they've reunited, but their latest album is not the same, which is a shame.
@@ruolov1 I hope so. I don't hate their latest album at all, there are some good songs off of it, but listening to their first two albums is another experience. None of the songs are bad, I can't skip them because they all tell some seamless story. Their newest album is hit or miss, and mostly misses for myself. Either way, still one of my favorite bands. I'll support them no matter what, even if the golden years are long past.

i’m a new fan. discovered this band yesterday. this album has been on repeat for over 24 hrs
Same, I'm currently obsessed with this song 😭
Y’all late....
Its my favorite band of all time 💘
Glad people are still discovering the music I loved growing up and still do
Damn, some great stuff
Armor For Sleep, Matchbook Romance, Just Surrender, Hidden In Plain View, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein. Damn I love all these post hardcore bands.
Calling all those bands post hardcore is a stretch but yeah they are good.
Jonjey Comms I know im late to comment this but how is it a stretch? Post-hardcore is exactly what they are.
Yamato De La Torre I wouldn't really call them post/hardcore, glassJAw, at the drive in, Thursday those are true post/hardcore. That's cool tho
Can't forget Senses Fail
Underoath and from first to last were my favorites
