I loved watching the Harlem Globetrotters any time they were on tv. Unfortunately I never got a chance to see them live. Their games were hilariously awesome. Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal, Geese Ausbie, etc…
Dad took me to see them when I was about 6-8 years old in the early sixties. It was incredible to watch their antics. My favorites were Meadowlark Lemon and Curly Neal. There was another who came later and I think his name was Goose Tatum. Then after the game I was astonished at their height. You don’t notice it in the stands, but at court side they were giants. I’m 68 now and I’ll never forget them. Just good, clean entertainment.

Between their showmanship and skill, I think it’s the best basketball game / event I’ve ever been to... they were far more advanced and ahead of their time .. No other team could match them, especially at that time...
Same. My dad took me several times in the early 70s when we still lived in New York. The half time shows were also great. One-time was a ping pong game with was amazing. Another was a frisbee exhibition.
