I want this series to be best series in RUclips, just way you showed how default configuration are step by step. We want same for complete security. -From introducing jwt and implementing and why it came to picture -Introducing oauth2 and what were limitations of oauth1 and it's implementations on top of jwt. -Introducing oauth servers such as Okta servers and how they make life easy and their integration -What are other different approaches such as KeyClok and their implementations. -Mutifactor authentications -authentication with Google, Twitter, Facebook, Github
Great jobs to for all of the series ! Just a minor correction on the basic authentication starting from min 17:13. The header value within the Authorization header is not correctly meant to be assumed as encrypted. It's encoded (BASE64 encoded value). There's a slight difference between encoded value and encrypted value. Encoded is something easily (publicly) reversible while encrypted is not. And the basic auth here is Base64 encoded value which you can easily reverse it back to its original value using any base64 decoder that is publicly available for anyone to access.
This is an excellent presentation on Basic Auth in Spring Security 6. A bit frustrating, though, that you never got to the "and writing our own Security Filter" part.
Would you be able to update the video with the latest changes ? the methods and the classes shown in your video have been deprecated. Plus, I am using a chrome extension API tester to test the endpoints as shown in the video instead of postman. And it doesn't ask me for authentication creds when I send a GET request and I am able to access the URI. Any idea what's going on ?
Hello! please I need help, working on the Spring Security configuration class and following the steps. I am still seeing Cookies in the developer tool. I followed every step critically, something is wrong some where...
Hey...embarkx... following you since couple of months...hatsoff to you commitment...just a small request if you make a video on everything about logger and how to use it in a production grade application
From Bangladesh, I'm excited to learn about Spring Security with this awesome content! However, I noticed a slight discrepancy in the playlist. This particular video seems like it should come before the one on Inemory Authentication.
