- Let's take a quick trip to San Andres Colombia. Located about 500 miles from the mainland of Colombia, San Andres is a popular Caribbean location frequented by many Colombians. It's a small island near the country of Nicaragua, but technically it's a part of Colombia.
San Andres is unique because even though it's a part of Colombia, there's a heavy Afro-Caribbean culture and in addition to Spanish, English is widely spoken here as well.

I went a few months ago. Got ripped off on the Johnny Caye and Aquario combo when the operator lied and said Aquario was closed for an accident and clearly saw on the bus back where I was staying that it was still open. I went on a different tour to Aquario next day and wow that rope walk was crazy with the high tide. I barely made it. I should have paid the guy with the raft to take me. A few people had to be rescued.
wow!! that's crazy...I'm sure that rope walk area is crazy at high tide time.
@@jclyde81 yep I was clinging to that rope for dear life and drinking sea water. It wasn't as bad the way back but still a few spots at 6 foot tall where I couldn't touch the bottom
What time of day did you visit ?
@@jclyde81 maybe sometime between 11 and noon in mid February I think the 19th. The wind was pretty strong as well. This time I went with Porofino and dropped off on haynes and walked over to Aquario even though they told me not since I can't swim well. When I went to Johnny Caye it was some random guy that I ran into the day before. I knew better to trust a guy who flags me down and calls me "my friend". That was with a boat called the Joker. I learned my lesson to just walk up on day of.
Hola Magnifico video,io ho famiglia a san andres (leccese-vonblon)Ciao.☺😘😉
Gracias !!! 💯🙏🏾
New subscriber to your channel bro, great content💯💪🏾
Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub. 💯💪🏾
@@jclyde81 How many days/nights do you recommend to visit the island in order to get a full experience (beaches, food, nightlife, etc.) of all it has to offer bro?
@@strawdawg229 I would say 4-5 nights. I was there for 3 and definitely had some things left that I didn’t get a chance to do, but I’ll be back
Super great video! we are a family from denmark planning a trip there but we are a bit worried about the safety, did you feel safe? best regards Simon.
Thanks for watching. Yes San Andres was great. At no time did I feel a danger presence there. It’s a tourist destination that is very visitor friendly
dont go there to stay at cheap hotels. stay at the sunrise hotel and you will be safe.
Did any part of San Andres feel unsafe to you?
Great video, do you have a link to the Buggy rental company?
I booked directly with my hotel front desk. But the driver I used also offers tons of services including buggy rentals too. Check out aventours.sai on IG
Thanks for watching. I just sub’d to your channel 💯💪🏾
@@jclyde81 Thanks bruh safe travels
Where did you stay bro? Nevermind, what would you recommend on the Northside?
Most of the activities, restaurants and attractions will be in the north side of the island. I would recommend staying on the north side to be near downtown, activities, resorts, etc. the south side of the island is more quiet with not any activities or action going on
How old do you have to be to rent the mules?
You have to have a valid driver’s license.
are a lot of these places credit card friendly?
I didn’t use my CC much in San Andres. Because mostly it were smaller vendors at the beaches and things like that. I used the CC at my hotel and a couple restaurants though. That was about it
38 minutes? 🤔 a change but Good stuff
Lol. I gotta get those watch hours up 😂
