I hope you're keeping good health. Brilliant review. The short focussing distance of the GM II is a game changer for what i do. Thank you for including it in your video.
Get well soon! Could you perhaps post pictures of this lens on a a7c of comparing the size with the sigma 28-70? Wanted to update to a 24-70 zoom lens but worried about the size jump for my every day lens
Love your reviews! Would you mind reviewing Canon/Tamron gear as well? If so, I'd be very keen to hear your thought on: -Canon RF 24-70mm f2.8 (with image stabilization, and how it compares to the new Sony 24-70mm f2.8 ii) -Canon RF 70-200 f2.8 (the short stubby one, and how it compares to the new Sony equivalent) -Canon RF 100mm f2.8 macro (with its 1.4x magnification) -Canon RF 100-500 f4.5-7.1(aka the telephoto beast). -Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8 (a very unique lens)
So, I recently read an article by a Korean Doctor that said along the line that "... people who have not got covid yet, does not have friends." So, good for you, I think #lookingatthebrightside #getwellsoon
Here's why you may want to buy the GM instead of the GM II. It's $800 used vs the $2K you'll pay for the GM II. $800 is less than the 24-105/4 and that makes it a good deal if you don;t mind a little extra bulk.
@@JaySea I just checked and there are a few on eBay for the high 700s to the low 900s. Used of course; nobody is suggesting that you get the GM1 as new old stock.

A lens for a camera system I do not own.
It’s impressive, nonetheless!
whats ur thought on 24-70 gmii sharpness? is it onpar with gm primes?
I really want a 16-35 2.8 GM II! The flare resistance of original one was really bad.
Hope you get more views, your video is AWESOME!!!
Hope you feel better!
Get well, dear friend !!!
Brilliant review thank you..
Hope you feel better broski.

Cannot find GM 1 for $800. Impossible brand new and very rare even on second hand market
