    hey Man ! i love your videos ! i'm a third year architecture student, and what i find difficulties with is presentation layout. like what kind of layouts to use how to organise the texts the images the plans etc. i really struggle with it and end up just leaving a white back ground with everything on top, and it doesnt look as cool as what other students present...
    i hope you an make a video about it ! i'm sure alot of students will appreciate it and find it usefull. keep up the good work !

    Hey, I'm a great fan of your videos. They are quite mind blowing and relaxing at the same time! Could you please someday try to recreate some of your drawings using Illustrator; mainly the architecture diagrams. I know that you use just the basic tools of photoshop but not everyone are familiar with it. I believe that Illustrator is a little bit easier to start to create this kind of representation. I already use illustrator to create some similar diagrams and I know how much is possible using it, but would it be cool to watch something made by you anyway.
    Thanks for the tips, keep uploading your content.

However, can you please tell me which function you use? because I'm new to photoshop so I don't know how you suddenly deleted the background of the image lol. I did try pressing delete button but somehow it said that the image cannot be directly edited (?) :(

    FANTASTIC WORK....In my experience, my clients usually want to make several changes from the first draft to the last draft. So if a project has 10 revisions, do you update the photoshop each time? Lastly, would the project Bill of Quantities (project cost) be based on this photoshop render or the DWG files?

    • @ShowItBetter
      @ShowItBetter  6 лет назад +2

      I think being practical and knowing how to sell is very important. In my experience, me as an architect I have a first file with wich I present the client the proposal, and make changes on the psd if they are small. But if they are drastic I just present them the plan in normal black and white colors on paper and until there is a final definitive design I pass it on to the rendered plan.
      The project cost would be based in the cad files, I have had experiences where the client verifies by themselves the areas of each space and calculate costs to re verify. I see this rendered floor plan more as a guide to what the space is in materials and feel. idk

    Make all the walls black manually in ps takes way to long. You can just create a few propper pdf from your autocad, such as "walls" "furniture" "stairs" and then u import them all to your ps. Then you already have different layers and can work on them seperatly. Just imagine a wall need to be changed afterwards. Then u have so much stress. Just make a pdf from autocad using one layers (for example "Walls") and then u can import it to your photoshop. Then u can create a new layer for the floor in ps, choose all the areas for floor texture with the magic wand tool while selecting the wall layer and then use the filling options to import a fitting floor texture. dont work with multiple images and copy them all together. Thats way too much work. If you use autocad and u want to print a pdf then only use the "paper area" and not the "Model area" like in this video. All your settings for the lines will not be displayed correctly.

    This is so painful. Watching you put floor textures on in photoshop is such a waste. There are so many ways to do a floor plan better than this and than use photoshop for touchups and editing of differnent sorts, if you're a designer, don't put your floor in the floor plan using photoshop... That's my two cents. Interesting video but wow there is so much work being done in here which is not necessarry. Photoshop should not be used to put in the actual floor texture into the floor plan, it should be used for editing a floor plan image or pdf that already has a floor texture in it.
