I walk/drive by this place all the time. My favorite sign was, "Silence Is Golden. Duct Tape Is Silver". They also had, "Velcro. What A Rip Off". "To Make A Long Story Short, Don't Tell It". "Procrastinators, Unite Tomorrow". "My Reality Check Bounced". "What Disease Did Cured Ham Actually Have?". "Dear Ugly People: You're Welcome. Signed: Alcohol".
Alag1 - My brother in law often says:.... "To make a long story short...."..... And I always say: "Too late!!!".... (But I just don't say it out loud😛)
The cured ham one made me laugh so hard. I spilled my gatorade.
The sign is actually owned by Seattle Propane, located at the Wallington (Seattle, WA) Chevron, and they've been updating this sign for over a decade. Well done, Seattle Propane.

Totally 100% can understand this too. Once went on holidays went up and down a road trying to find the house. Came across a ramshackled derelict house, on the arbour/entrance were one bottle size corks dangling. Couldn’t work out who would have put them there. Soon did, getting closer realised they were spiders wrapped up in the arbour leaves. Freaked and almost had to be sedated to walk through. Boyfriend’s sister took rented it because it was cheap, mean miserable Scrooge she was. Not funny still remember 47 years later. 😱 😱 😱

I came across this while scrolling through RUclips. My brother died 10 days ago from complications of COVID. He would call people everyday to tell them his one liners he made up just like these. Great that this place has a sign outside their business to display these wonderful one liners for all to see and make someone’s day a little brighter.

There's a shop on the way to my parents that does this. My favorite one is one I've seen them do at least twice: "I scream, You scream, The cops get called, Things get awkward." I love driving by and seeing what it says, but they don't change it everyday like this place does.

In my hometown there was a fish 'n chips restaurant next door to a burger joint, and the fish place had a sign saying, "Wouldn't you rather have fish?" Both places have since closed down.
Those are really clever. They must give smiles to people who pass by them.

I used to drive by this station all the time on the way to Ballard. If you're in Seattle, jump off on the 45th Street exit and go West. Have a burger and Dick's Drive In and then go a little further West. You'll see this on the north side of the street and you can then claim you've enjoyed 2 of the best things Seattle has to offer.

@Spring Ranch - I don't know the rules for making a haiku, and im not going to look it up, but those words on that sign at that timestamp are close enough to a haiku for me, and is a haiku that doesn't make any sense.
@Spring Ranch haikus are supposed to have 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third. If they had said don’t instead of do not, it would be perfect but most haikus are a little out there and don’t really make sense, hence the third line
