Well, it sounds big and epic, like the music you would hear in a film featuring an empire. You add some whimsy in there which I think lends to the idea of insects, or something we have a level of detachment to in real life, but I think it works. (These are the times I feel particularly inadequate describing what I like about music)

When I composed it, I didn't think too much about the structure or ideas, it was just through-composed, now I pay attention to all the details I missed 😮
