Stephen I'm housebound and bedbound due to Long COVID, completely lost my life at 33 years old. Most days I just lay in bed, obviously miserable, but when I see a new release in the evening at bed time I have got to say, it brings back that old forgotten feeling of happiness and contentment. So thank you so very much 😊🫂💜
I am impressed you can even hear any of his stories! I end up falling asleep in the countdown mostly. Lol. Anyway I pray you get to feeling much better very soon.
What is long covid? I'm so sorry to hear that friend =( I was 28 getting a synthetic valve & pacemaker placed during the lockdowns so my mom couldn't even come see me.. they rushed me out for bedspace to covid patients.. it hurts to think of the impact this awful disease has caused.. *hugs from the same generation*
I'm sorry for your feeling of no energy to do things you used to do. Prayers will lift you up. Pray there and I pray here. I had two near death experience already. Praying got me back. Have faith and believe. Praying for you. Pray and believe! You will see a change in your life. All the best for you. ❤
I took a great train journey from Paris to Amsterdam and then back through Brussels where I lost my passport! I met a very kind gentleman in Brussels who helped me tremendously and not many people wanted to do that since I was American. Needless to say I was able to get a new passport and continue my trip down to Italy. The mountains were surreal i was taken aback by the villages and towns tucked away in the hills. For me, i will never forget the colors and the deep greens and the picture perfect villages that looked like a postcard. Just wowed by Europe!!!! Sincerely greatful to back pack europe before cellphones and other distracting things! Beautiful just mesmerizing! Thanks for your stories Stephen! It's wonderful to actually sleep again!💓
Also would love a story set in the American old west 1800s, a traveling covered wagon train and singing and telling stories around a camp fire at night.
Greetings Mr.Dalton, For years I tried everything under the sun to treat insomnia and have had no such luck it until recently. I'm sure your stories are great but I don't get very far and I don't remember a thing. Every night I need to toon in. it feels good I'm getting 4-5hrs of solid sleep.Thank you and I appreciate you very much. Many Blessings
Last night was àn ultimate challenge to get to sleep after a major family disagreement. I didn't expect to be able to sleep but I did my usual routine & put on my sleep headband to listen to you & your wonderful soothing voice did it's magic & I was asleep before the end of the story as usual. Thank you so much for your wonderful stories that have totally changed my sleep routine & I rest so much better for it. You are the best Stephen thank you ❤xxxx
I love the train stories. I did the train trip in sri Lanka. The famous Blue Train Journey from Kandy to Badulla (Ella), it's considered as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world.
Every day do something to improve your situation... Look for a job doing anything. Perhaps something with included housing? Care for a sick person, shop for groceries etc for housebound, drive sick folks to dr appts. etc Best wishes & prayers 🙏🏻 ❤️dove 🕊
Another beautiful story, I have never been on a plane, but took an amtrak to Boston years ago. It was wonderful. Has anyone else ever asked you about a longer countdown? I love the countdown and hearing I'm safe. And everything will be ok. Just a whole story time of positive thoughts and safety. All your stories are wonderful ❤️
@@Stephen_Dalton-I must say that your countdown is really excellent. It reminds me a bit of a self hypnosis technique I used to try from time to time and it’s extremely effective. I am very grateful for it and it’s quite funny because I started out skipping the countdown because I was just looking for a bedtime story and now I will sometimes repeat the countdown if I lost focus part way through or if my little one was very chatty through the first listen. I find myself telling her more and more often that ‘ I really need to listen to the countdown tonight’ and if she will listen, she usually falls asleep. We try to read a story, have our chat, then I sing her her special lullaby and then we try to Listen to your countdown and story. Sometimes she chats through the countdown and some nights if she does I replay it. It would be lovely if it were just a little longer. The intro you always give gives us a chance to settle in and say out good nights and sweet dreams, but there are times it takes a little longer for us to settle down and be ready to focus and listen to the countdown. In any case, I don’t think a little more of you-whether your intro, countdown, story, all three, or any combination, could possibly hurt.
Hi Steven. I’ve been listening to your bedtime stories for a couple of weeks now, and it has been a game changer for me. They get me to sleep most nights, and on those (now rare) occasions where I still can’t sleep I just keep listening to more stories. This at least keeps me relaxed. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to be able to sleep at last. Thank you so very much. I especially love those stories with warm, cosy themes, like the coffee shop ones, and the warm cosy cabins. Much love and many thanks from Australia 💖
Someday (night?) I will hear one of your stories in its entirety. So far I haven't gone much beyond the relaxation session before I am asleep. Your stories are much, much better than Ambien, Stephen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My absolute favorite train experiences were in Japan, with the custom music for each station and the experience of the Shinkansen as a whole being very quiet and relaxing 🥰
Loved this story. Several years ago, my Dad went on a cruise to the Norwegian fjords. He had been going to it a few years before with my Mum, but she sadly passed away. When I was looking at the possible excursions with him before he went. I notice one was a trip along the famous Flam railway. My Dad was a huge train fan. Sadly on the last night of the cruise my Dad was taken ill and had to be airlifted to hospital, where he sadly died a few hours later. It was a huge loss as you can imagine. I would love to hear a train journey story on the Flam railway, especially as my Dad never got the chance to tell me about his trip. Thank you Ness
My wife used to listen to your stories to fall asleep. I usually come to bed late and so many nights I’d snuggle in and be out in moments (even mid-story). Now you are a regular in our home and frequently suggested to others, thank my good sir for everything. Extremely appreciated, And quite grateful for the entire experience-although I usually on get through the first 5-10min of the story🤭
I really love the idea of a good train story thank you for this. Looking forward to it tonight. My family has a long history of working on trains so they mean a lot to me.
I woke up to this. It must've been in the playlist I started when I went to bed. When I woke up, I heard what I thought was an Irishman speaking with a Scottish accent. It was the cutest thing I ever heard! ☺
Scottish accent spot on, reminds me of Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire imitating Sean Connery, I believe it was. I love these train stories, especially the real life ones and the sound is so soothing of the train tracks for some reason. 🤍
So soothing, another added to my favourites playlist. I am especially enjoying the ones that I know I wont be able to see in person atm...yourr opening up my world outside of the house whilst helping me relax. Thank you Stephen.
Love Daltons train stories🙏🏼 so cozy to have when you rest and close your eyes. Just imagine being in a traincabin with a cozy bed and beautiful views❤️
Absolutely wonderful! I was there in 2014. Would you consider a story on Japan? I was there for 2 months in 1998. Incredible culture and beauty. Scotland is my fav tho. Thank you for this train ride.
I have listened to many of your stories, though I seldom make it to your story, as I fall asleep during countdown. You voice is SO soothing though, and currently the only one I listen too, to go to sleep. Thank you for using your talent to help others! ❤
I take a train from Williston, ND to West Glacier, MT. It's stunning when we move up the mountainside. Breath-taking! (Especially when there's a crazy lightning and thunder storm!)
Ohhhh...a new series and it's about and with trains! 🥳 I'm really excited, because for one: I enjoy 🚅 train journey 🚞 stories 😊 and for 2: I absolutely enjoy YOUR stories. 🙂 What a sleep story jackpot. 🤗 I will never be able to thank you enough. 🙏🏽💝 Your sleep stories are life changing Stephen. 💆🏽♀️😌🧘🏽♀️💫🌷
I'll be honest I need to play these at. 75 speed... idk why... but I literally never make it to the story before in OUT. 😂 THANK YOU! I took a train from Iowa to Chicago, the farm land was so repetitive and the clank clank of the wheels.. also put my to sleep. I think I just like sleep lol
I'm currently trying to sleep on the eurostar. I'm in France atm. En route to Amsterdam, Holland. Desperately in need of sleep as was up all night cleaning for the house sitter 😂😂😂😂😂
Love these journeys , I go to places I’ve never visited ❤️ One idea for a train journey is the TAZARA railway, Zambia to Tanzania line, built in the 1970’s when I lived in Zambia .
Stephen I love your videos and stories especially the history or ancient times, as someone who works graves shifts and have secondary insomnia making it hard to sleep I just put a mask on and imagine your stories. I recently came across a print and play game called Ronin, a journal solo TTRPG game where you play as a Chinese Ronin (vagabond or wanderer) and the adventures you have traveling the vast world of China. Sometimes you come across people who you help or they help you, create enemies and villains. The game does end when you defeat your 3rd villain but it's a long process game writing a story as you go. Keep this short. I would love a story about a Ronin and their adventures throughout China, are they a samurai who have been kicked out or their clan destroyed by another, or they have personal problems and left themselves. Who did they meet? A mentor? Blacksmith, earn an apprentice or just an innocent soul who just wants to help. Idk if you do violence but I love to hear an alternative one 😊
Hi Stephen said id get back you on this story. I listened to this one last night train journey in Scotland .yes fell asleep , really enjoyed and as I'm 15 mins away from queen street station. I imagined it all getting the bus to town. Walk through George square to queen Street station...and all the journey . Your scottish accent was spot on Some folk try speak Scottish and its no..just no lol , but yours sounded right maybe being Irish helped we are pretty similar...
Love your channel!! I tell my preschoolers a story before they lay down for a nap, it’s one I made up called The Wizards Farmers Market. That might be a cool idea for new sleep story. I would love to hear your take on it.
😢 I've never been on a train I wanted to ride on a country train NC wildflowers NC theaters in the wildlife and the rabbit just a dream of mine it's never came true.
i love these videos and they’ve helped me so much over the past few weeks since i’ve found them. unfortunately this time the unexpected harry potter references shook me up a bit :( as a trans person who used to love the series and now has a very messy complicated grief about it, having it brought up unexpectedly feels decidedly uncosy to me personally. maybe my fault for not connecting the dots in the description but it would mean a lot to me for any references to that series to be warned somehow in future so i can skip those videos!
The Mrs and I couldn't sleep and I said "surely there must be a bedtime story for adults!" And thats how we found you. Thank you.

Also would love a story set in the American old west 1800s, a traveling covered wagon train and singing and telling stories around a camp fire at night.
But without the dysentery etc!
Beginning this story as Thunder is rolling outside. Heaven.
I would love a story with a horse drawn sled through the snow and a chalet in the Swiss alps

The multi day train journey from Montreal to Vancouver is epic and would make a great story. 🇨🇦
I can't wait to listen tonight!
Night night, everyone.❤
In transitional housing, worrying about my future. Your videos help me sleep at night

I would wish for some kind of story taking place in some kind of woodworking shop. My passion is woodworking. Maybe bring some figures to life

Nothing like a train for sleep, love the accent. Great work❤
Do you think we can get a train journey across the transcontinental railroad in 1800s America? I think it’d be a good story.
I hear the Rocky Mountaineer is something special!
Coming soon 😊
