Apparently when clint threw the 44 on the ground he was supposed to hit cushion to brake the fall but he was focused on acting while filming the scene and missed throwing it onto the concrete, so the scowl on his face and the sound of the clattering metal happened in the moment because he scuffed one of the three revolvers available for the film

Phenomenal podcast. Steve, you ought to do more like this. It’s no secret most pre-gamer gun guys became gun guys from guns in cinema. Want to impress a buddy at the range or when you open your gun safe, pull out a movie clone. The “must haves” FAL, G3, Colt Commando became obsessions after Heat, the stainless folder Mini-14 after the A-Team, the Python after The Getaway and Magnum Force. Guns and cinema and a tier one guest make a great podcast.

James I am glad you shed some light on the whole “precious” situation with Taran. Kinda thought he was a bad guy when I first heard about it but when you said they were actually like dating that cleared it up. Taran: not a bad guy👍🏼

... the movie that influenced me into guns was "Serpico", when Serpico goes into the gun shop and asked for a gun "with a lot of bullets" and the shop owner hands him a Browning Hi-Power, the shop owner tells Frank that it holds thirteen rounds in the mag, I turned to my Dad and asked him if they really make guns like that, my Dad said yes - and a few years later the first handgun I bought for myself was a 9mm Browning Hi-Power, all because of the movie "Serpico" ...

To be fair to the hand to hand fights in the Bourne series, the issue with the fights (shakey cam) was more of an issue with the director not knowing how to block and shoot a fight scene. The fight choreographer on Bourne, Jeff Imada, was not only a film industry mentor to Chad (John Wick's director) but they both also trained under the same primary martial arts instructor, Dan Inosanto, with Jeff being the more senior student. The techniques in the two series are all drawn from the same source, Inosanto's broad curriculum, with Bourne favoring more Filipino Martial Arts (Kali) and John Wick being more geared towards grappling (Judo, BJJ, Shoot Wrestling.)
