Just found your channel cool. Hometown . Live 5 min away from that house and had thought some urbex guy should see it before it goes down. Cool to see it happened. Great stuff.
Niiiiiiiiice bro!! Same here, I live just off Trim & B. Colburn LOL This house was really nice to visit. Glad you like it bro! Reach out anytime if you wanna link up local brother!
I am so glad you had the opportunity to video this farm before its tear down. A little sad when you moved through the buildings knowing someone once lived there. Thank you❤
I am in Ottawa, born and bred and I just stumbled across your channel. I am starting here, at the beginning and going to watch all. Can’t wait to see old familiar places.
What a cool place was in Canada August last year and found so many abandoned places there im an Aussie Urbexer and ohh yer the ticks are bad there gave you a Sub awesome channel mate.
Nope, the children are very much interested in keeping the farm, but two major factors prevent this. First, the capital gains taxes are outrageous, succession is a major issue. Second, the size of the farms isn't sufficient to make a living or justify the extreme cost of the equipment. A good friend of mine is looking at 2-3 million in taxes to keep his father in laws land (even if its given to him). All by design to ensure the land is concentrated into corporate hands.
It’s not worth renting them as usually the farmers won’t get paided . They just want the 200-400 acres for cash cropping . If it’s east of Ottawa it’s already been purchased by developers and they will build new homes
@@BytownUrbex yeah a damn good honest way of life shot to hell I actually enjoyed working on the old dairy farm there's always something to do that's for sure

Very cool video Dave FL 😊
whats the FL mean? lol
@@BytownUrbexFlorida? Maybe he is from Florida. 🤷🏼♀️😆
Lots of families who own farms when children not interested to take over they just sale it. It’s sad but it’s part of life.
Exactly the scenario in most cases 👍✨️

Can I take over, make a farm out of it again ? Thank you !
Wouldn't that be awesome, right? 😎 unfortunately, it's all been torn down since. Minto will be building approx 500 new homes there. Thx for watching 🤟
@@BytownUrbex wow, Minto on top of that, not rich enough ?
Judging by stalls I'd say Jerseys was milked there
do certain stalls only work for certain cows?
Yes the small pens was for baby calves.
you're very knowledgeable bro , thx!!
@@BytownUrbex yes I've been in the old and new dairy barns or parlors now days
The whole property is a good sight for the walking dead be careful 😂
gotta have a place to keep walkers right lol
I'd say the 60s
The house was moved to that location in 1961 and renovated there after being moved from Vars if I'm not mistaken
Sadly, this house and the entire property featured in this video were completely torn down this week for a new development of 500 new homes.
No ghosts in that house
None present.
Funny how some abandoned places really feel wrong/haunted and some really don’t. This one doesn’t.

Ahhh didn’t see the comment yup housing …. It not sad at all it’s progress better than the land being wasted
Yes, this is east of Ottawa, and it's 500 Minto homes going there. Corner of Trim & Wall.
@@BytownUrbexdo you know if they tore it down yet? I’d love to check it out
@@jj.c12he answered other comments saying that it has indeed been torn down. 🙁
The office as u call it was the milk house.
Awesome thx for sharing your knowledge bro, much appreciated!
The barn looks like it was a dairy farm.
Yes it was and also has crops of vegetables etc. was truly a great spot to go to. just 2 min drive from my place
That barn is a old milk barn.
It was a pleasure to explore.
Sadly, it's all been torn down.
Yep a old dairy farm
Silo was torn down last week. It's officially all gone now.
