    Having lived in Nova Scotia for many years you did an excellent job of covering all it's highlights. Your tribute to Mike was very moving.

      Thanks Skychaser. We loved Nova Scotia, it was a beautiful place to ride around. The only complaint we had was all the potholes on the minor roads, it was hard to look at the wonderful scenery while focusing on avoiding the huge holes in the roads! 😅

    Very nice tribute Mengy! for 20 years I rode a VTX1800, never a moment's trouble with it. Glad y'all found a solution. You can sure see how your brother is your brother... What a fun trip, just three guys. Great memories.

    It's crazy how life flies by us all. Seems the older we get the more we reflect on the past and the people we have met along the way. I am 53 and people are starting to pass away too, loosing my Dad suddenly 4.5 years ago was very hard. Sundays would be the day he would Facetime me in Canada from the UK every week. Now Sundays always feel like something is missing...... Be safe out there everyone.

      I know what you mean. All four of my uncles have passed in the past couple of years, it's strange not having any living uncles left. My dad passed about a decade ago. 😞

    Sorry for your loss, but you have a great memory of your friend. My wife is from Nova Scotia and ive been traveling there every year for over 40 years. I will remember your friend and this video whenever I cross the border into NS.

    • @MotoMengy
      @MotoMengy  Год назад +1

      Thanks for that Robert. You go to NS every year? That's awesome, I do want to go back again, it was a fun place to ride around with so much to see along the way.

      Last year in August, my friend and I did 2,200 miles from Mass to NS. We did allot of backroads, following the coastline and staying off the highway when possible. The weather was mixed, Gortex jacket / rain pants with rain to mesh jacket and 85 degrees. I never get tired of the Cabot Trail. 😃 😊

    Awesome tribute to Mike. Beautiful pictures and narration. Truly sorry for your loss. I admire the way you experience life on your motorcycle. I've been riding over 20 years and haven't done one meaningful destination trip yet. Though I put a lot of miles on my bike, they are local (in state) miles. Watching this has inspired me that I will be planning trips on my motorcycle to see all that I want to see. Because like you said, we think we have time, but you don't really know.

      I've been telling you for decades Tom, time for you to do a long distance trip on the bike! Brad and I are planning to ride out to northern Idaho next year, I'll let you know when we have a date picked for it in case you want to come along! 😀

    Excellent way to give tribute to your friend Mike. Video was good quality, with the old technology. Been a fan of yours for about a year. I steam RUclips on tv so never knew how to comment. Your tribute to your friend Mike made me find out. Keep up the excellent motovlogging!

    Sorry about the loss of your friend. Your video about your last adventure with him was very well done with the detail of the trip and collage of material gathered for it. I'm sure he he likes and appreciates it. Consider going on another road trip with the family and friends who still can and want to.

    At one time Mt. Washington recorded the highest wind speed on record at over 200 mph. Did that ride with my wife in a BMW sidecar rig back in the late 80s.

    • @MotoMengy
      @MotoMengy  Год назад +1

      Thanks Dogbone. It was very windy the day we were up there in this video, but I've also been to the top on days where it was very calm too. I've also tried to go up only to have the road up closed due to inclement weather, even in the middle of summer! Mt Washington is a beautiful but unpredictable place, I love it up there!

    My two brothers and I did the Cabot Trail last year right after the border reopened for US tourists. Stayed in Baddeck, NS before and after our ride. It was a bucket list trip for my eldest brother. We did the CAT ferry opposite of the way you did though. Great experience though. Ours was also a 3000 mile round trip journey. Definitely unforgettable!

    • @MotoMengy

    It’s actually a great story you did a wonderful job. (I don’t even know you or Mike but you made me cry) I’m so sorry for you loss 😢 and you’re right, sometimes we don’t have more time so do it now because we don’t know how much time we have. Cabot Trail is on my list to ride for next year. I’m 62 so need to do it now before I’m unable.
    Thanks for sharing this it truly was wonderful.
