I've been exploring for about 30 years, and for the past few years on video. I never realized it was a recognized hobby before I started sharing my adventures. I explore more regularly now than I have in the past. It is a little unnerving due to the risks involved, but it is also very addicting and rewarding. I've been interested in this all of my adult life, so I guess you could say I enjoy it very much.
Tiki I'm not sure if I commented before that I would have liked to do what your doing. I'm not sure I've seen anyone videoing before I started watching U Tube in July when I received my tablet for my birthday, now I'm addicted to watching all the abanded house videos. I am 71 years young. Somehow I feel guilty for watching these videos.🤭 I am am not married so I guess it's ok.🤭 I just want to make a comment tho. Would you mind slowing down while taking your videos ( no offense ). I'd appreciate it. Excuse me for any punctuation errors. It's been a long time since I've been in school.🤭 God Bless and God Be With You🙏
Junk yard inside the house is a perfect way to describe this mess. As you say, it's too bad as the outside really isn't in too bad of a condition. Thanks for your support as always, my Dutch fan!
Another awesome Tiki vid . With the usual slow and proper filming . Thanks for providing me and all youtubers with a video tour that produces no sea sickness .
cool house, Tiki. I grinned at the couch, that was sitting there, when you went in the back door, my folks had a couch and loveseat set with the same material. it's a shame she's letting the place go to waste, instead of letting somebody buy it, and keep another piece of history alive
Wow... Loved all the old stuff in the large upstairs bedroom. That headboard on the bed was beautiful. So much in that room was like stepping into a time capsule. Sorry you had to suffer the smells while we enjoyed the pictures. You are sharing parts of people's lives...so many mysteries. This is a historical service for mankind. Thank you again. - - Tom
Viewers who watched Tiki's house tour, didn't read all she wrote @ the top of the page where it says "about."If u read the whole dialog of the history of the house, u will c the part where Tiki tells her viewers that, "an elderly lady used 2 live there but, moved out. Tiki tells us that she bumped into her neighbour who gave her this info. Tikis neighbour said that he keeps asking the old lady 2 sell & she won't. So just letting u know that no elderly people died in there, just simply moved out.
A dump indeed! Yes, I always wear a 3M mask for these types of places and a respirator for older buildings such as institutions. Thanks as always, JerseyDeuce!
Don't ever tell the guys from "American Pickers" about your found places, they will be there in a hiccup, with a camera crew, dollars bills, and no sense of pride. Keep up the great work.
I agree. I like it when they leave things behind as well. Sometimes it's just too much and a little overwhelming to see things through the junk. Thank you for watching!
Another good one, Pam. You always get well-earned comments about your steady camera work-it is much appreciated. I hope your little furry boy is enjoying the spring. And you too, of course.
Kittydoc90 Hey, thanks, Cristina! He's enjoying the spring, plus, I got a second little pup to add to my furry family. He's another purebred dachshund only a few months old, and is he ever an active one. So we've all been enjoying the nicer weather back home now. I hope you are enjoying the spring as well with your own furry family. :) Thanks as always for your nice comments!
Oh, congratulations on your new boy! I bet he'll keep your first one younger, or at least on his toes...I actually do love the winter, and cold days when one feels really alive to be outdoors and grateful and cozy to be warm indoors, but the spring is wonderful because of the fresh new green and flowers and birdsong. Ah, life is good! Is your youngster a Mini too? I can just picture him bouncing around, and how soft and silky his ears must be...
Kittydoc90 Thank you! You are picturing him correctly, lol. He is bouncing around quite well! He is a lively playful little guy. Unfortunately, my senior dog isn't so much these days. When the puppy tries to play, it irritates my senior dog, but he's warming up to him. They both love walks which is working out well since I also enjoy the spring weather and going for walks. And his ears and fur are so silky smooth. Oh, yes, he is also a mini. The breeder I purchased him from had him on a raw diet (lamb meat ground up with bones, etc.) along with a high protein kibble (no GMOs or hormones), and suggested I keep up with this regimen saying that the grains in IAMS, et al, are not good for them, I asked my local veterinarian yesterday about this diet as I wasn't sure if it was just the new hype, and he suggested I stick with the IAMS I have currently been feeding my senior dog for the past 12 years. There are so many differing opinions out there and it has me somewhat confused. I was just wondering if you'd be so kind to offer me your expert opinion on this issue?
Shoot-RUclips cut you off at "confused." I'm attempting 21st century technology and just set up a Facebook page as Kittydoc-if you'd like to message me we can talk more privately. I love to talk animals and I love the topic of pet nutrition. I think your vet and I will be on the same wavelength.
Kittydoc90 I guess that's because RUclips is confused, lol. I'm actually not on Facebook and would need an account to message you, but if you are on the same wavelength as my vet, then that makes me feel better about sticking with what I've been doing and not switching to the raw diet and high protein/non-grain kibbles. Thanks so much, Cristina!
What a find! You did a good job, have to love the happy face thermometer at the beginning, ;) that old woodstove is a 1970's mamabear fisher, while not old, was made tough and is sought after.I couldnt beleive the mess in this house..thank you for all the time you put in to share with us.
Thanks! Actually, their show had contacted the owners at the Nevada Ghost Town that I took video of. The owners turned them away and said they weren't interested in selling anything. They then asked if they could video them saying no for the drama of it, but they just told them to get lost. So you are right - no sense of pride.
Going back and catching up on some of your videos that I have missed. You always cover these places so well and this one was sure cool with all of the items left behind and the mysteries surrounding the abandonment. Really great work Pam.
I admire your confidence. Some of these places look so scary to me. I would never venture inside. I enjoy your videos very much. You keep the camera so steady and take your time, not rushing through the rooms. Thanks for a lot of viewing pleasure.
Another awesome video, Tiki! I always like it when there's stuff left in the places when ya'll go in them, but that was ridiculous. To me it seems like the people may have been hoarders, like you said. Looked like there may have been a few collectibles left behind. To bad the lady that owns it won't sell to the neighbor. Just letting it sit and go into more disrepair. Great job and thanks for sharing!! Be Safe!!:)
Wow wasn't expecting that looking at it from the outside. it appears it was pretty nasty when it was abandoned and just got worse with the squatters. Interesting to say the least.
Wow, I don't know where to begin. Squatters cottage I think. I think they hoped to move there permanently but health issues prevailed. So they never returned and the rest is history as they say. The most provoking video I've seen from you Niki. My brain was in absorption over load. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Pam,I alway enjoy your videos,I bet the guys' name that stays ther is I.P. Freely,I always wait for you to post your videos,it's like christmas to me,thanks for sharing Pam
Yes, I've had that a few times where someone will say they themselves lived there as a kid or played there with their cousins that lived in a house from years ago.
Love your vids Tiki. What safety precautions do you take before going into an abandoned dwelling? I know you have to be worried about someone being inside when you enter.
I live in Indiana & have Power of Attorney & Medical Power of Attorney for 2 relatives & am guardian for one of them who's disabled. I hope that in TN people can have a POA and/or guardian & I would recommend having a co-guardian & successor trustee if a guardian dies/is incapacitated. Hopefully what you describe can be avoided by making decisions & appointing people in advance for what is appropriate to their situation. I have a representative to handle my estate & will be paid out my estate.
I always anticipate your next video! I have some questions though. I have several great old abandoned farmhouses around where I live in NY. I have some anxiety around exploring them because they are so close to rather highly traveled roads. How would you handle being discovered exploring a place where you should not be?
I used to inspect houses for banks. Many of them were foreclosed and many looked like this one. I found it so interesting to look through all the belongings and imagine what the people and their lives were like. It was very strange, but very interesting, and I never knew I had this interest that you seem to have as well. I would guess most people left their belongins for financial reasons.
Often in REALLY old homes where the bathroom was retrofitted you would find it placed in the oddest places! My grandmother's home had the old "outhouse" and needed to have indoor toilet put in so her son had to use a section of the huge kitchen. But he didn't put up walls really, just drapes like shower curtains for walls that didn't go all the way to the floor. As a little kid that really embarrassed me for some reason!
Looks like it was ransacked after it was vacant by people looking for valuables. Maybe a squatter had stayed there at some point. That spot on the bed looked more like from an animal. Like the old folks had a dog that slept there.
I agree not so much a hoarder, Looks to me like everything was boxed up or at the very least contained in the dressers cupboards and closets. Its obvious the place was ransaced at least once, and robbed of anything of value. For example if you have all those vinyl records you would surely have a quality phonograph ! If i came home to this disaster id walk away too! :(
I am sure it was a challenge for you to explore in this house. In my opinion, not many things smell worse than urine. I would have checked inside the jewelry box. Great video :-)
Such a shame. All of that stuff just wasting away inside that home. I can't believe the squatter didn't have enough decency to relieve themselves outside.
I find such houses very exciting! I could have spent hours in it to see everything! Unfortunately this could also happen to us - you dies not comply or someone has an interest on your property and our cherished objects rots and have not value for no one!

Hi Pam...Those clear plastic point shaped items on the counter, at 5:24, with a blue colored strip are disposable insulin needles waiting to be pushed on to diabetic medicine pens. Probably the only still worthwhile items in that whole house of wicked junk. Thanks for bravely exploring this for us. - - Tom
How would one go about buying a decent abandoned house especially if you don't have much credit and willing to fix it up if any problems and clean it out also
I never understand why people won't sell a property they no longer need and it continues to decay. I once stopped at an abandoned house that had a for rent sign the year before. I approached the owner who got angry with me and told me that the house was not available. This was years ago. The house is still empty and nearly destroyed.
I hope you take care to not run in to any squaters. You always explore alone. You have made me nervous with a few explores in buildings that were in rough shape. I know you carry masks when you go through places. Just be cautious so we can continue your journey with you. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!

Hehehe 🤔 Another great tour. Thanks 🤗
Another fine video,it boggles my mind that the owner wont do anything with the house or items in the house but wont sell either,i guess she wants to see it rot,i work to hard to let the things i own rot,i would leave it for charity or something ,oh well. Thanks for the video and watch out for yellow stains on the floor! HaHa
squatting is taking possession, making it a home; trespassing is crashing on the property indefinitely, without any long term plans. This looks more like an old rental, rather than a "squatters" place. Squatters have to make improvements I think...
You're most welcome! Thanks for joining me on the tour!

Interesting that every abandoned home has a tale to tell.
Yes, I am thinking perhaps the old lady had a bladder issue.
Another awesome Tiki vid . With the usual slow and proper filming . Thanks for providing me and all youtubers with a video tour that produces no sea sickness .
Wow..Amazing what people leave behind...wish you would of looked in the jewelry boxes.. lol.."the house of Many smells"..Another Great job Tiki!

Great videos, I am afraid one day you will go in to a house and find the three bears still at home:)
I enjoy all videos. Thank you for taking the time to go through all those houses.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for taking the time to watch! :)
WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank u sooooooooo much!
i enjoyed this video, thanks for taking us on your adventure.

Thank you, dumpstermower! Sounds like you're all set for winter, something I'm not really looking forward to. But that was a nice old wood stove.
I now feel the need for a bath lol.
Thanks for the information, Tom! And you are right about the wicked junk in there!
Great Video Tiki. You sure find some good ones!
Thanks for the tour :)
Wow, you sure do know your stuff, Moo Cow. Thanks for watching! All of my awesome subscribers such as yourself are what keep me out there.
Are you still around? Did you decide not to do this anymore?
Wow wasn't expecting that looking at it from the outside. it appears it was pretty nasty when it was abandoned and just got worse with the squatters. Interesting to say the least.
You get such amazing finds. They just pop out at ya off the road lol. Great vid as always.
Thank you!

Me too ! ;)
Hello there! Long time no see,,, nice work! Woooooooow! I like it! Thanks. Stephiewonder
Wow, that was a lot of stuff lying around...you could do two more video's on just the amount of property left behind...great video! :)
Wow, I don't know where to begin. Squatters cottage I think. I think they hoped to move there permanently but health issues prevailed. So they never returned and the rest is history as they say. Lol well 3 for 3
S-dale rd was the pastime but u got me on this one ... lol
Y do People leave so many thing behind. U can almost feel the sadness in the House. Great video.
Nice vid....you make the best abandoned house vid
Yes, I've had that a few times where someone will say they themselves lived there as a kid or played there with their cousins that lived in a house from years ago.
The vintage cupcake stand upstairs!!!
It truly is a shame. Thank you for commenting! :)
I don't think the walls were soggy. It just seemed to be that one part of the livingroom when you first came in the front door.
You should have your one TV show one day coming soon on the Travel Channel right by Ghost Adventures
Love your vids Tiki. What safety precautions do you take before going into an abandoned dwelling? I know you have to be worried about someone being inside when you enter.
Great video wow someone just left everything behind!
Another cool vid you made! however you seemed to of used RUclipss anti-shake feature. I had to get used to the motion after a while lol!
I love that jewelry tray/holder at 11:43!

Thank you for the inspiring comment!

The remains of a cluttred life but why just leave. The plot stops. Thank you for a trek well documented. And you're easy on the ears. A+ work.
Such a shame. All of that stuff just wasting away inside that home. I can't believe the squatter didn't have enough decency to relieve themselves outside.
That was my first and lasting impression, lol.
I appreciate your comment! Thanks! :)
wow you are brave tiki go in alone. good video always.......be safe tiki is ur hubby ever going with you again? rock on
I find such houses very exciting! I could have spent hours in it to see everything! Unfortunately this could also happen to us - you dies not comply or someone has an interest on your property and our cherished objects rots and have not value for no one!
Thanks, but I am quite aware of all of the health concerns and risks involved after exploring for a few decades now. I do take safety precautions including the use of masks and respirators where needed.
Nice junkhouse, I always like your videos.
Nice I'm always waiting for ur new video,
heck, Nate, here in TN, you can find a lot of houses sitting empty, and going to ruin, because the estate is held, until the owner passes, ( if they were in a nursing home). not even the family can do anything with it, until they pass, and the estate is settled. it's sad really, to see so many houses that way.
- - Tom
interesting, nice job narrating
Great video as usual! It would have been really interesting if you had rifled through the LP records, just to see what kind of music they were into!
How would one go about buying a decent abandoned house especially if you don't have much credit and willing to fix it up if any problems and clean it out also
I never understand why people won't sell a property they no longer need and it continues to decay. I once stopped at an abandoned house that had a for rent sign the year before. I hope you take care to not run in to any squaters. You always explore alone. You have made me nervous with a few explores in buildings that were in rough shape. I know you carry masks when you go through places. Just be cautious so we can continue your journey with you. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!
Love your videos
The blue rope looks like a device to detect entrance of people, maybe squatter set it up as warning.
Great video
How did you reduce the shakiness of the camera so much? Looks great :) Awesome work!
Ah ok got that, thanks for the information.
That is a real cool place. Nothing like the smell of urine in an enclosed space.....
Hey Tiki, another excellent video. All that stuff that the women left behind should be thrown out and whatever could be salvaged, sent to goodwill stores. She sounds crazy to me. Please always be careful. I know you are. And thanks for entertaining us, yet again. I will write to u soon and give u an update on you know what.
Bye for now, your friend, Jackie.
This one is a little creepy. Thinking of returning squatters. .please tell me you have "something" with you... At 5.27 those are Diabetic needles. Now tell the truth.......after you turned the camera off, you went back downstairs and you checked out that Jewelry box....didn't you ... Hehehe 🤔 Another great tour. Thanks 🤗
+Frank Poindexter Ahh, you got me, Frank! Shhh, don't tell anyone. It'll be our little secret. Haha! :)
+TikiTrex , I always want the books and records that are left behind!! Lol. Seems like such a waste.....
ohhhh I want thareat vid by the wayt smiley face thermometer......great vid by the way
Have you ever taken anything. And do you always go alone? You do a very good job with the camera. Love watching your videos. I watch for hours
Has anyone ever seen one of your videos and told you that they once lived in a house you have filmed? That would be pretty interesting.
