Can I ask why y'all don't put out more videos during dry dock don't the videos make money and money helps the ship like New Jersey they put out tons of videos earning money for the ship
@@EntropyExistsat least New Jersey is smart and they put out a lot of RUclips videos at least one a week I'm just talking about dry dock making New Jersey money
I still love that the scariest part if the whole trip was that the old girl was so keen to get going she came out of her mooring a bit too fast… I also love that Texas, a standard-type BB, is currently the fastest battleship in the world…😂 I would have loved to be on one of the boats, ships or barges going about their business only to have a battleship sail on by!! That would have been a sight to see up close!
You can tell that rudder is not straight by the tug on the stern. The most dangerous thing in the world when she launched. Wouldn’t have wanted to be on the receiving end of those 14” guns. What a beast.
Those ten 14" guns are ten of only about 15 total surviving 14" guns in the whole world! England has only one surviving 14" gun and there are only 3 or 4 other 14" guns in an Arizona park and a Pennsylvania park! Texas is truly a treasure thanks to she having the only remaining 14" guns still on a museum ship. There are so many 16" guns on the 7 other surviving museum battleships, making 16" guns not as precious and rare as 14" guns.
I watched this while listening to Dreadnought (Symphonic Version) by Sabaton, and I must say, it's an experience that I don't think will leave my head for a while. COME ON TEXAS!!!
with this time lapse, you can finally grasp just how big effect the rudder had on the tug's control of the ship. you can see shes constantly trying to pull starboard and the tug having to compensate
The hull work is done, she's painted and been dipped into the water for a leak test. I know this not from this official channel but from independent channels postings. Inexcusable.
It is my hope, that once she is being painted, that her service ribbons and awards are painted on her and the day she is parked at her final destination, that military, shipping, historical and political dignitaries from all around the world are invited to see her sail one last time, before being docked for exhibition. I think the best location would be somewhere near the Texas State Aquarium or near the USS Lexington at Corpus Christi, Texas. However, placing her somewhere along I-20, would be the most optimal location, for high volume attendance.
When and where will Texas resume her role as a museum ship? Will she be back in late 2024, or later? I'm planning to be in the Galveston area in late 2024 or early 2025 and am thinking about a deep tour. In the last two weeks, I've toured the Iowa, and the Alabama. I'd like to add Texas to the pair.
There were regular drydock updates, until there weren't . Then this montage and nothing for 4mo? I can see progress from some drone channels, but the official channel has gone dark. What happened?
They've said before that they're very busy and often dont' have the right people in the right place and they're very busy in the day to day in drydock.
I so wish. that they could restore her back to operational status and sell tickets like a cruise ship for a real taste of history and just run her in the local waters close to shore. I no that not possible but i think it would be super successful! Just sayen.
m.ruclips.net/video/2LexiVKXEKE/видео.html y'all NEED to get sabaton to do a lice performance of their song DREADNOUGHT as she gets refloated to go home, she's the last dreadnought!

New Jersey headed to dry dock next year. See what happens

People are saying the ship is going to be floated soon. I assume it’s a bump to work on the hull. What’s the status? What’s going on?
I'm just glad she's getting some proper TLC after all these years.

A pre-standard, in fact!
She isn't a standard type though. All the standard battleships were stupidly scrapped. Texas is pre-standard and an ancient classic dreadnought.
I love battleship Texas it is a icon the United States of America is doing a good thing I cannot wait to tour this ship you so much
Such a magnificent dinosaur. I get chills any time I watch these videos of Texas moving. Go Texas
Great to see Texas sailing into a glorious sunrise 🙂
She's moving a lot faster than she does in World of Warships =)
Gayjin gonna add it to war thunder which is cool ig
Battleship Texas was the fastest Battleship in the world in 2022!

@@KingOp0ssum_II She was the only battleship underway in 2022 🤨.
@@mikus4242 she wasn't being driven, she was towed by tugboats
The manic energy of those sped up tugs is cracking me up.

Any new content coming up? Would like an update on the hull repairs.

it's so awesome to see those smoll tugboats push around trxas looks somewhat cute ngl

Why hasn't there been a video update in over 4 months?

And the winner is camera #4!

Good stuff.
Now they plan to using resin into dock we can see under hull just as like cutty shark possibly?
How is it that other people are showing updates but this channel is not?
Because they're rather busy with the drydock work itself
How is Texas ballasted and was any ballast removed and reinstalled as part of the restoration?
There seems to be a lacking of adequate soundtrack. I would suggest AC/DC's Thunderstruck. Because of reasons.
Vroom vroom

God I hope her boilers can get going again one day
Unfortunately it's never going to happen. :(
