Had a perfect example of this come up in ministry: Man was a long-road trucker who masturbated while on the road. Caveat was that he was on the phone with his wife while he did it and it was a mutual experience. I fail to see how this would be considered a sin issue from scripture. It's not the act that's the issue, it's the who/what that's happening in the heart and mind that God calls us to account for.

Confused about response to gay couple conversion. Why different messages for different categories? What should they be told?
Why should we not always be theologically consistent?
I think it would be absolutely great for Preston to chat with Becket Cook.
Accommodate to “situation”? But is said situation sin or not?
    Historically Christian? Or Biblical?
This is so odd. I’m no closed minded legalistic. I’m always open to be persuaded that I am wrong (I now hold the minority view of CI vs ECT for example…)
This is just such a strange position.

While the bible does not mention masturbation, I'd say it exists in the realm of extramarital sex, that is sex outside the only acceptable context of marriage. If left to progress to the logical end, people will move from sex toys to sex dolls, then sex robots in future. Where do you draw the line?
