I am a woman who was a member of the queer community for over 2 decades. In same-sex relationships for most of that time. I was also a Witch! Members of my family were very loving towards me & prayed for me continually. I knew that they believed I needed Christ & did not approve of my sexuality or spirituality. In 2007, I met the love of my life, who was a man, at a gathering where we were both teaching Witchcraft. In 2008, we married, though I still identified as bisexual. In 2013, at the end of my rope, I came to trust in Christ, & shortly thereafter my husband did as well. Now it's 2024, & Jesus Christ is the center of our lives, my husband is a Bible teacher, & I write & sing scripture & gospel songs! I do not identify thru my sexuality anymore ~ I am simply a new creature in Christ, a child of the Most High. I thank God for his mercy & my family for their long-suffering & faithfulness. Glory to his name forever!!!
What a wonderful testimony. Glory be to God 👏 🙌
Praise God❤ You give me hope as I am praying and believing for my daughter who at 30 years old suddenly decided she is gay. And she has been a born again believer since Highschool. 💔
@@philnahenriet2550 Oh wow! I am so sorry to hear that. In my case, I thought I was born again as a child, but then decided I was a lesbian at 18. After coming to Christ at 41, I realized I had not really been born again before, even though I believed intellectually in Jesus. For me, I think I was too young to morally understand my need for a Saviour at that point. As far as your daughter, pray for her continually, & hold fast to the truth. My family was always loving with me, but they never condoned my wayward path or changed their views. It took a looong time, but I was finally able to see that I was wrong. Also, if there is any way to get her more into the Bible, I would suggest that. Soon after I got saved, I searched out the issue of homosexuality in the scriptures to know the truth for myself & realized that it was contrary to God's design & will. I also learned that we overcome temptations & trials in this life thru the power of the Holy Spirit. God bless you, & I will pray for your daughter RIGHT NOW.

My husband and I were fired from a campus ministry once regarding standing ip for biblical truth, and I commend you for your boldness. I know this is difficult but you will never regret obeying Christ.
Good clarification on the natures of temptation. This was murky in the Rosaria interview.

Jesus didn’t eat with sinners and tax collectors because he wanted to appear inclusive, tolerant, and accepting. He ate with them to call them all to repentance.
Yes, Amen!
Bingo
Which is what Cru does. Did you even listen? Of course they do that. But the training does say to think about order of presentation and prioritization of main gospel message over particular sins being discussed. Do you know of any other sin issue that people will lead with before preaching the gospel itself? Why would we with this one?
@@Parableman Exactly. In wanting the gospel to be central, we don't want to fall for the idea that we need to fix areas in our life before we can be saved. Does Cru advise in addressing sin issues like mentioned? Absolutely. As a Cru staff, we do address sin in student's lives.
@@Parableman, they’re not loving the sinner. If they did ,they’d preach the truth.
God bless that couple. I am so proud of them!!! The Truth will prevail and you are on the right side of Truth. Great example of standing tall
I’ve been hearing lately how the church is “not loving well” those in the L G B T community. My question is by whose standards?? The Bible’s or the community’s? Because the alphabet community is seeking affirmation, not repentance. And affirmation of sin is “not loving well”.
Jesus doesn't condemn the sinner but never confirmed sin because he will tell sinners to sin no more and loving someone is to tell them the truth and not push them to hell....
The culture. Not scripture or God’s ordinance.
We must just remind them to SURRENDER and follow Christ. Let HIM work all that out.
It may be a desire they always struggle with or removed completely. But, it’s not too big for Jesus.
@@TaflynMassarTelling a LGBT person that as long as they are active in that life, have not repented then acording to Gods law they will go to hell is not hate. And seeing these folks in their sins breaks Christians hearts, because we don’t want to see them in hell, we want them in heaven with us!
But we need to never stop emphasizing that no matter how bad they feel, how sinful and dirty they feel, how many problems they have Yashua will wash them clean.
There is a before Christ and an after Christ and the difference is night and day.
The problem is so many LGBT don’t believe in Hid. Or , like in several of my experiences talking to LGBT, they believe they are Christian’s, and that the Bible doesn’t condemn homosexuality. They believe the lies put out by the leaders of the LGBt, that the Bible was changed, that it said that either sex wieh children is what is condemned or that it’s sex wieh male pagan temple prostitutes that is condemned.
You woukd be shocked at all the comvuluted twists that LGBT go through mentally to claim that Bible doesn’t condemn homosexuality! What that says to me is that some of them , want their cake and eat it too. They want to be able to claim they are Christian’s and still indulge in the pleasures of their sins.
Read the book “ After the Ball. How America will conquer its fear and hatred of gays in the 90’s” by Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen . It’s like the communist manifesto for how to make homosexuality normal and accepted in America. It’s full of half truths, misinformation and outright lies.
It says that homosexuals should say that “ They are born that way, they are born gay” yet later in the book the authors ad it that there is no gay gene and what causes a person to identify as homosexual is very complex and not fully understood .
This book also advises local leaders in the LGBT community, to tone down the sexual Pride events, to not talk to media about any incident that makes LGBT look bad or any crimes committed by a LGBT. The authors of the book ookmsay it’s about Public Relations, and spinning the LGBT lifestyle to look normal, non criminal, safe, and hide anything that isn’t positive.
This book is out of print, but it’s a ilable as a PDF online of you google it.
I recommend this book to all Christians to help them see the roots of this LGBT movement and how to counter some of the “facts” that are widely accepted as truth, and scientific fact by the ignorant LGBT. But also to see that there are those that are deliberately pushing the lies, misinformation and half truths as carved in stone facts to achieve a particular aganda, they are working toward a goal.
I was gay when I came to Christ in 2020. And tho I still struggle with same sex attraction, I no it is a sin and I reject it daily. The church was welcoming to me.
@@adiblatif sometimes we have struggles or sinful desires I mean how many people lie daily, or watch porn, or lie about others, we struggle, we may struggle for our entire lives, or we KEEP OUR FOCUS ON CHRIST and allow HIM to deal with them.
When a desire arises we just say “Lord, Jesus, this is bigger than my ability to restrain from right now, please take this from me”
Thank you for sharing. My husband and I are on different sides of this. He is on the side of compassion and preserving the relationship. It is unfortunate because if our kids marry the same gender I would not attend the wedding and he would. It is tough on relationships all around.
Yes, the whole issue is divisive. It’s not the fault of those affirming biblical truth.
A similar thing happened to us at our church, over a different issue (pornography). All we were asking is that the truth be brought to light. We were accused of disunity. We left our church before we were formally disfellowshipped, in order to spare our children the humiliation, but, sadly, the situation did negatively affect our children’s faith.
We must remember that Jesus Himself said, I came not to bring peace but a sword. (Matthew 10:34)
That’s what Yashua would happen, sons against fathers, daughters against mothers, becaise one is a believer in God and Yashua and the other is not.
We are seeing the prophesies of the Bible, the very things Yashua warned us about ( He said “Do not be decieved” ) are unfolding in our lifetimes.
We are told to stay strong and persist to the end, keep, our eyes on that prize of salvation and heaven.
When somone is not a believer we can talk to them to plant the seed, pray and fast for them and love the person. We can lead them to the Living Waters, but we can’t make them drink. And some prefer their fake affirming form of Christianity that allows them to wallow in their sins and feel less guilty about it.
And most importantly we ourselves need to serve as an example of Christian life . There are far too many fake Christian’s who give all Christians and Christianity a bad name.
But we can’t make them believe and repent. We have to depend on God to nurture that seen, convict their hearts and bring them to Him.
Love cannot rejoice in wrong doing. We have to tell people the truth. God can change our idenity . Any sex outside of marriage
Between a man and a woman is sin. That's what Jesus says . Jesus is the God of the old test and the new. He is the Great I Am.
In love tell people the truth only the truth will set them free.
Respectfully, a colleague of mine and his wife chose not to attend their son's gay wedding and clearly stated why. Since then (6 years) the son has had zero contact with them despite their many attempts to repair the breach. On the other hand, another colleague and her husband chose to attend the gay wedding of their daughter (and clearly stated their biblical position) and have continually spent time since then with the gay couple, including forming loving relationship with the "spouse". They continue to pray for the transformation of their daughter & spouse through repentance. When I left Cru staff after 12 years I found myself employed for 2+ years in a business that had more gay than straight employees. I learned a lot. I'm convinced you will have great difficulty persuading people while at the same time they feel judged by you through words and actions. You are right, it is really very hard on our relationships. Shalom.
@PamBush-zg6cb God is more loving than us. We cannot outlove God. Jesus said he came to bring a sword between family members who do and do not follow Him. We must choose Jesus above anybody or anything. We must love people enough to tell them the truth, that's what real love is.
It’s like what Voddie Baucham says about going to gay “weddings “ and being worried about that relationship: (paraphrasing ) “if any relationship is causing you to do anything contrary to God’s word, then you need to repent, because that relationship has become an idol.”
Well said. Voddie is a good teacher
Alisa, thank you for having the Mundells on your broadcast! I love their passion for the truth of God's word. Any ministry would be blessed to have them on their staff. May God use other ministries to minister to our college students. I know it is a pivotal time of one's life.

The Lord bless and provide for this dear couple. 🙏🏽 Appreciate their example of faithfulness and courage.
The Mundell's are strong and brave Christians and will be in my prayers. Christians are under attack, even from our "own".
Two decades ago, my cousin, a Pastor, said that in the very near future, Christian churches will allow homosexual pastors - and just lately I have been reading it HAS started!!! 😢
@@lyndaallaby2131 unfortunately this practice has been happening for over 20 years.
Much respect for this sister and brother -- true disciples of King Jesus! May the Lord bless you and return on your heads double and triple what you have lost. Yes, truth matters! Our unity is in the Truth as we fellowship in the Light with nothing to hide.
The Lord will take care of you when you stand for and honor his name and his word. Well done, servants.
Thank you for sharing their story. This is coming for most of us. The culture will make us draw a line in the sand. Praying for them and that God will open doors for their next ministry steps.
If the Church would "draw the line in the sand", the power that would be unleashed could not be measured. If we continue to bow to the culture, the culture is going to win. We have sponsored missionaries thru CRU for years, but no longer. Our people have left CRU to go to other missions because they could no longer align themselves with the direction in which CRU is going. There is a reason why Christians are to be different from the world. A "Royal Priesthood" should not be bowing to anyone for any reason!
This is shocking only because Campus Crusade for Christ was so solid for so long. We have to pray!!
It was iffy when I started University in 1988. Not this obvious but I always had red flags.
@@amylynnhunt55 what did they do back then? Do you remember anything particular? There were subtle changes that looking back you can see how dangerous it was. Like I remember a pastor saying to get saved was like getting fire insurance. They backed off preaching about hell, forgetting that Jesus preached about hell quite often. Now when they baptize they totally omit the word “repent” it used to be: do you repent of your sins and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior?? Or close to that. Now it’s say the sinners prayer and welcome to the family? WE can’t save ourselves, He’s not up there saying “oh, I hope they pick me!” You Repent of your sins and if you’re sincere and truly seek Him He will work in you. It’s heartbreaking that so many people think they’re ok and are not. The church is fixated on numbers that they’re not focusing on true discipleship.
I would encourage you to google Cru's official stance in this area. It's titled Compassionate & Faithful: Cru’s Approach to LGBT+ Questions. I made a comment under this video where I outlined some of the misrepresentations of Cru's views, training and stances. I hope people can seek out and get the full story. As someone who works for Cru, I'm thankful that Cru does take a historical biblical stance and their training actually reflected this.
When are you going to have a representative from cru on your show??
@@ggpmf They have explicit rules about talking about these questions with media, because they see that as going against unity in the body of Christ to have people airing their complaints in front of the public, and this kind of appearance would count. I think it's a dumb rule, but what you are asking for isn't going to happen unless they change that policy.
We went through the Sprinkles "Biblical Sexuality" course at our church. It really felt like the course was blaming believers for gay people who grew up in the church leaving the faith. It completely ignored any idea of people leaving the church because they want to live in their sin without feeling "uncomfortable," if gay people left the church it was always the fault of the church, not the sin. If you aren't super accommodating and making sure everyone feels at home, regardless of whether they're repentant or not, you are in sin and need to repent, not the people living in sexual sin. It felt super bizarre to be going through it in an otherwise strong church. It definitely felt like the SBC is promoting it without telling the churches what's in it, because there's no way our church would have played it if they had actually watched it first.

It’s an old story. Recently, Alisa, someone commented on your conversation with the Mundells, “Bill Bright would weep.” I don’t think so. In 1986, while I was a missionary in Ireland, Campus Crusade for Christ appointed a Catholic as the national leader in Ireland. Concerned, I wrote to Bill Bright. He said he was unaware of the appointment and promised to look into it, but nothing changed. In 1994, Bill Bright was one of the signatories of "Evangelicals and Catholics Together." This controversial document encouraged both groups to unite in spreading the Gospel. This prompted the question from many: "Which Gospel?" Prominent evangelical leaders, including James Kennedy, John MacArthur Jr., and R.C. Sproul, challenged Bright on his compromising approach to proclaiming the Gospel. They spoke to him in private at a meeting at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale. Bill Bright passionately defended his position. At one point, he tearfully asserted that without collaboration between Catholics and Evangelicals, millions might never hear the Gospel. Again, we must ask, "Which Gospel?" In 2006, I spoke at a seminar in Rome, Italy, on Catholicism. At the end of the last session, five or six young women, all Americans, tearfully asked to speak to me. They were missionaries with Campus Crusade. They told me they had been trained to work within the Catholic Church and support it, not oppose it. They asked me what they should do. I told them, “I’m sorry, but you’ve been misled about what Catholicism actually teaches.” It’s the same all over the world, but few Americans know about it. That Cru would now be opening the door to Progressive Christianity doesn’t surprise me at all. Thank you, Alisa, for standing for the truth. - James G. McCarthy, author of "The Gospel According to Rome" (1995).
@jimmccarthys4 Friend please could you share why are catholics wrong,I mean besides Mother Mary. I appreciate you sharing your experience. 🙏💞🌏🙏
Did you read the Catechism? Catholics believe Christ died for all, repent from sin and be baptized. That is the gospel. Jesus is our savior.
@@phil4v8 read Council on Trent. They teach if you believe that you are saved by grace alone in Christ alone, faith alone, you are anathema (damned), purgatory, the mass actual body and blood of Christ, the Pope being the Vicar of Christ etc. John MacArthur has several solid teachings on what the Catholic church teaches( from their own writings)
@@phil4v8In my comment I ask, "Which Gospel?" because I have concluded that the Catholic message of salvation and the biblical message of salvation are not the same. Here's a comparison of the two:
CATHOLIC SALVATION COMPARED TO BIBLICAL SALVATION
The Gospel According to Rome (1995), pages 117-120, James G. McCarthy
Bracketed numbers refer to paragraphs of The Catechism of the Catholic Church (1995).
1. The Catholic Church: Justification is a transformation of the soul in which original sin is removed and sanctifying grace infused [1987-1995].
The Bible: Justification is an act of God in which He declares a sinner to be righteous in His sight, having forgiven the person’s sins and imputed to the person God’s own righteousness (Romans 3:21-4:8).
2. The Catholic Church: Initial justification is by means of baptism [1262-1274].
The Bible: Justification is by faith (Romans 3:28).
3. The Catholic Church: Adults must prepare for justification through faith and good works [1247-1249].
The Bible: God justifies ungodly sinners who believe (Romans 4:5). Good works are the result of salvation, not the cause (Ephesians 2:8-10).
4. The Catholic Church: The justified are in themselves beautiful and holy in God’s sight [1992, 1999-2000, 2024].
The Bible: The justified are in Christ holy and blameless before God (Ephesians 1:1-14).
5. The Catholic Church: Justification is furthered by sacraments and good works [1212, 1392, 2010].
The Bible: Justification is the imputation of the perfect righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). In Christ the believer has been made complete (Colossians 2:10).
6. The Catholic Church: Justification is lost through mortal sin [1033, 1855, 1874].
The Bible: Justification cannot be lost. Those whom God justifies will be saved from the wrath of God (Romans 5:8,9).
7. The Catholic Church: Catholics guilty of mortal sin are justified again through the sacrament of penance [980, 1446].
The Bible: There is no second justification. Those whom God justifies He also will glorify (Romans 8:30).
8. The Catholic Church: Salvation from the eternal consequences of sin is a lifelong process [161-162, 1254-1255].
The Bible: Salvation from the eternal consequences of sin is an instantaneous and secure act of God coinciding with justification (Romans 5:9).
9. The Catholic Church: Salvation is attained by cooperating with grace through faith, good works, and participation in the sacraments [183, 1129, 1815, 2002].
The Bible: Salvation is attained by grace through faith apart from works (Ephesians 2:8,9). Good works are the result, not the cause, of salvation (Ephesians 2:10).
10. The Catholic Church: Faith is belief in God and the firm acceptance of all that the Church proposes for belief [181-182, 1814].
The Bible: Saving faith is the entrusting of oneself to Christ as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:8-17).
11. The Catholic Church: Sanctifying grace is a quality of the soul, a supernatural disposition that perfects the soul [1999-2000].
The Bible: Grace is the undeserved favor of God (Ephesians 1:7,8).
12. The Catholic Church: The sacraments are necessary channels for the continual infusion of grace. They bestow grace in virtue of the rite performed [1127-1129].
The Bible: The child of God is the constant object of the Father’s grace (Romans 5:1,2).
13. The Catholic Church: Grace is merited by good works [2010, 2027].
The Bible: Grace is a free gift (Romans 11:6).
14. The Catholic Church: Venial sins do not incur eternal punishment [1855, 1863].
The Bible: Every sin is punishable by eternal death (Romans 6:23).
15. The Catholic Church: Serious sins must be confessed to a priest [1456-1457].
The Bible: Sin is to be confessed directly to God (Ezra 10:11).
16. The Catholic Church: The priest forgives sin as a judge [1442, 1461].
The Bible: No one can forgive sin but God alone (Mark 2:7).
17. The Catholic Church: When the guilt of sin is forgiven, temporal punishment remains [1472-1473].
The Bible: When God forgives sin, He completely forgives (Colossians 2:13; Isaiah 43:25).
18. The Catholic Church: Acts of penance make satisfaction for the temporal punishment of sin [1434, 1459-1460].
The Bible: Jesus made perfect satisfaction on the cross for all sins (1 John 2:1,2).
19. The Catholic Church: Indulgences dispensed by the Church for acts of piety release sinners from temporal punishment [1471-1473].
The Bible: Jesus releases believers from their sins by His blood (Revelation 1:5).
20. The Catholic Church: Purgatory is necessary to atone for sin and cleanse the soul [1030-1031].
The Bible: Purgatory is not mentioned in the Bible. Jesus made purification for sins on the cross (Hebrews 1:3).
21. The Catholic Church: Poor souls suffering in purgatory can be helped by those alive on earth offering up prayers, good works, and the sacrifice of the Mass [1032, 1371, 1479].
The Bible: Those who sleep in Christ need no help. To be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
22. The Catholic Church: No one can know if he or she will attain to eternal life [1036, 2005].
The Bible: The believer can know that he or she has eternal life by the Word of God (1 John 5:13).
23. The Catholic Church: Eternal life is a merited reward [1821, 2010].
The Bible: Eternal life is the free gift of God (Romans 6:23).
24. The Catholic Church: The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation [846].
The Bible: There is salvation in no one but the Lord Jesus Christ, “for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
@@michelleheltz6116 Thank you for replying. Yes, I have read "The Catechism of the Catholic Church." My book references it more than 1,000 times. It's simple: Scripture condemns homosexuality in every place it's mentioned. Therefore cannot be supported in anyway. Anyone who does needs to be rebuked and called to repentance.
Amen!
Exactly! And Cru holds this position! That homosexuality is sin.
@@expression4424The orientation or the act? Since natural sexual orientation is not mentioned or acknowledged by the Bible, I thought good science from the field of sexology can overturn it. Like the peer-reviewed work by Ray Blanchard, Anthony Bolgaert, James Cantor and J. Michael Bailey
@@js1423 Cru believes that the act of homosexuality is sinful. In terms of orientation, Cru believes that one must recognize that same-sex orientation is contrary to God's design for human sexuality and that it represents a disordering of sexual desire in our fallen condition and is neither morally neutral or morally good. Of course we believe that it is important to distinguish the experience of having same-sex attraction vs. acting on it in thought, word, or deed. Dwelling on immoral sexual thoughts or acting on immoral sexual impulses is sin, and intentionally seeking out situations which are likely to be tempting is also inappropriate for Christians. This is Cru's stance.
@@expression4424 So what is the problem with Cru then?
What a great Pastor you guys must have. If only there were more Pastors like that, thst stand on the side of truth.
I have a looooooong relationship with Cru (my husband and I met on short term mission trip, my Grandmother was on staff and friends w Bill Bright, and we supported friends on staff for the past 31 years) we stopped our direct support of Cru last Nov for many different reasons had a long talk w one of the friends we support who is literally at the top, hoping our talk helped her see how far away from what Bill Bright started but more importantly from the word of God. We still support them individually but not through Cru and won’t until they get things back right. Glad you did this podcast. Praying for that couple. They did the right thing.
Very brave! This issue is a dividing line. Stand firm! Ephesians 6. Praying for a new ministry for the Mundells!
Ray Comfort is masterful at speaking truth on a COM and loving way, but he does not pounce or get ugly, yet he is bold and gives a true gospel and he tells people, that a contrite heart is needed for repentance. Salvation is meaningless if people do not understand their lostness.
Yes, and that is Cru's approach. They are being attacked for it here.
@@Parableman no, what this couple describes is not Ray or Living Water’s approach. Ray does not wait on the notion of relationship building; that is nonsense and not biblical. Ray and Living Waters challenge people, respectfully,’to depend and put their trust in, yet not play the hypocrite, but today down their sin. Reveal conversion will lead to sorrow for sin and a desire to please God, get into his word.
@@karisbellisario619 Who said a single thing about those issues? I said they have the same approach that you actually said, which is speaking truth in a calm and loving way, not pouncing or getting ugly, telling people the gospel boldly and that a contrite heart is needed for repentance, that salvation is meaningless if people don't understand their lostness. If you don't think Cru has that approach, then you know absolutely nothing about Cru. Cru does precisely what you said. They also build relationships and use them to share the gospel. There is no pretending that the two are incompatible. Cru has long taught both of those things, as has nearly every ministry that I know.
@@ParablemanI think you misunderstand the difference here. Ray asks a person in his first few sentences of meeting them if they’ve been sexually immoral - even in their minds - to show them where they’ve broken God’s law. It sounds like CRU is training people to do the opposite of this, even encouraging them to use preferred pronouns, so it would not be the same as Living Waters ministries.
I was on staff for 12 years and still support Cru staff because I KNOW them. I've asked them and received thorough answers from them concerning these issues.
My daughter and her husband (then boyfriend) belonged to CRU while in college.
Stick with The Word of God and He will uphold you, no matter what the masses say.
My children are in college. They are in Cru Bible study. They were recently asked to be leaders. Because of the sound teaching at their college group at church and the fact that I already knew Cru had issues, my children turned it down. They wanted them to give up their ministry at church. They literally pull young people away from their churches. That’s a major issue with me. Thank God, my children are totally aware of what they were doing. I would recommend parents stay engaged with what your children are doing as young adults. Don’t let any ministry pull them away from their church. Cru has so many issues. Please take time to check it thoroughly.
wow! I had no idea. Sounds like wolf in sheep clothing. My daughter attended one of the winter camps, and they did the whole money shake down . I told her do not sign anything for money.
@@NotMister Cru is very deceitful. My children attended one of their winter conferences and came back upset. They said their teaching wasn’t sound doctrine. I had already warned them. I’ve known about campus crusade for decades. They don’t even share the gospel the right way. My children are now very aware of that, so they have been sharing the gospel the right way with others that go to Cru Bible studies. I am warning everyone I know, that have children in college, because they are everywhere now.
@@robine1018I have been going to Cru while in college and have been involved with sharing the gospel. I've shared with Cru, but I've gone to other campus ministries and chruches and seen how they share the gospel a little differently. I guess I see it as just different ways to get the message across, so I'm just curious why you would say Cru does it wrong. And also what's the right way to share the gospel?
Is Campus Crusade for Christ active in Canada?
🙏💞🌏🙏
Thank you for sharing their experience. They confirm that Cru is woke and truly hasn't moved from that.
Cru is not woke. Thankfully. If it was, I couldn't work for them. Many of those who wanted to go that direction left staff when Cru wouldn't.
@@BillyMogensenSorry, it just doesn't sound reasonable for "many" to take a job then expect to change an organization. They should have known their Bible. We were supporting CRU and am now glad we discontinued.
@@BillyMogensen has the leadership that brought the garbage in, been fired? Have those who did this publicly repented for compromising God's Word? Why would they use material contrary to what God teaches in His Word? That material is full of Woke theology. It encourages lies and deceitfulness. Who does that serve?
@@BillyMogensen Yeah, most of the extreme woke staff left because the organization wouldn't comply with their demands, and they went out saying they were homophobic and white supremacist.
We stopped supporting CRU staff when they posted black squares for BLM on social media, showed support for Be the Bridge, encouraged people to “do the work” in regard to racism issues, encouraged people to not buy guns, encouraged reading books by progressive Christians, etc
There's a third category of staff, from other countries, the ones who are not aware of what's happening, they're busy to minister and don't have a clue what soon will come. And the 4th , the same , they are aware, they're concerned but that doesn't happen in their country but they know that this will come. I am in the 4th category. And I started to talk about these things since 2019 , and already many of staff think I am a freak.
I pray God gives us courage to stand for the truth when time comes...
I actually was called old school from someone in my church. My husband was too. I'm not sure what in the world they were talking about. I just believe and follow the scriptures....
Pray for all those taught in CRU also. Our children, grown or still upcoming, need us to be steadfast in prayer and foundation on God's Word.
Wow, this testimony resonates with me. My husband and I went through a vaguely similar situation at our local Christian school. My husband graduated from there; I attended 12 years; and our son graduated from there. Last spring, our daughter was completing her 8th year there. We loved that place. We poured our hearts and souls into it. And suddenly our eyes were opened, last spring, to disturbing things. Looking back, for years there were warning signs which we reasoned away. Last spring, we properly proceeded through the chain of command. Our concerns were openly mocked, we were belittled and eventually "shunned" and even after we left this past fall, they sent a letter to all of the educational association members denigrating me. It has been utterly heartbreaking. It has also been faith-building. I think on various levels, many Biblical Christians are beginning to experience persecution -- often from the people and organizations we have trusted as beacons of the faith in our own lives and families.
God has always been faithful more than I could have hoped or imagined. I've chosen to leave two jobs to be true to God.
1) I refused to lie to keep a job
2) I refused support New Age ideology in a work situation as they would not allow me to make a disclaimer regarding my participation in a seminar that included my team members teaching New Age ideology
God bless you. Your rewards will be eternal!
@jackjones3657 thank you. And even here on earth, I could have been destitute. But God . . .
There were many other risks I have accepted in my commitment to follow Christ. What an adventure life has been. So many stories of God's faithfulness.
I'm nobody extraordinary. By the grace and empowerment of God, I just choose Him in tough situations.
I dropped out half way through grad school because of this stuff. I refuse to knowingly give my money to colleges and programs that lie to people, while also forcing their beliefs on others.
That's what we have to do. Not even up for debate. Compromise is compromise.

As someone who works with Cru, this entire situations saddens me for many reasons. I deeply feel this for the Mundell's situation, and also for the misunderstandings that have been shared regarding the training and Cru. I want to briefly provide some clarity and please reply if it would be helpful to hear more on these things. I did go through this training and want to provide my own insight. In sharing all this, I have no ill will toward the Mundell's, I'm praying they are doing well and that this season of transition goes well for them.
- Scripture was a large part of the training. For the first two modules alone I counted dozens and dozens of scripture references in relation to the topics being discussed. In fact, before starting the training we had a few days worth of devotionals that were to prepare us for entering into the training. These were scripture based and there to help us remember that we want to to enter into the training by being faithful to scripture (the meaning in Compassionate and Faithful).
- "Clobber" passages were addressed, but in a way of strengthening their biblical strength. It was advised in using wisdom in how to use them, but that it is God's word and that it is both applicable and the reasons why we take a biblical historical view of marriage. Preston actually teaches how to counter the interpretations of these scriptures from people who are affirming.
- The training did include the 4 perspectives for using pronouns from the beginning. These were a part of the discussion materials and were discussed in my training from the get go.
- It was never mentioned, said or even implied that we don't concern ourselves with the inward desires or temptations. It especially wasn't said we don't worry about lust. In fact, quite the opposite was in the training. The idea of lust and dwelling on sinful passions was very much addressed and spoken as being sin. We were taught that "It represents a disordering of sexual desire in our fallen condition, which is neither morally neutral nor good." Meaning the presence of it will lead to sin if we don't submit it to God and live under his authority. We are to not allow ourselves lust in any sort of way, including this area.
- Pronouns were used in a video because there were a wide range of people speaking and it was so we could know what part of the LGBTQ community. It wasn't an endorsement of using them in Cru, and it wasn't setting a precedence.
- This was was all some things I remembered off the top of my head. I'm totally up to talking about this more!
This is good to know. Having been engaged with this issue for decades, the actual position of Cru is important to me. It's a huge organization, and it deserves to tell its side of the story.
@@robbpowell194 I agree. It is hard for me as I want people to have the full picture of the organization and it's stances. I get how it can be easy to jump to conclusions, and I hope people will be willing to do their due diligence and learn more about this as a whole.

@@natthebrat1131 If CRU is telling staff not to share the training with your pastor (and I seriously doubt this is the case), then this is completely nonsensical, as the Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender (Preston Sprinkle's ministry) specifically produces some material for church pastors.

Wow! Thank you for sharing. In 1976 I was saved by a Campus Crusade for Christ staff member sharing the four spiritual laws.
I was saved in 1977 through a four spiritual laws tract.
I am glad- I am also grateful for the many people who are still coming to know Jesus through Campus Crusade for Christ. They are still continuing to do great work and people will continue to come to know Jesus through Cru.
Indonesian here and born again Christian through Cru because of 3 students from Korea who shared 4 spiritual laws with me in 2014. Cru isnt perfect organization indeed, but it doesnt mean God connot use this organization to bring people to Christ ❤
Didn’t Paul say “as such were some of you” (Paul expected those who came to Christ to leave behind their sin. As did Jesus, when he told the woman at the well “go and sin no more.”
Cru's material did not teach that we shouldn't tell the people the truth but we should do it in a way that shows love. He went to the woman at the well...she followed him not because he was contemning her (she had had plenty of people- including I am sure many religious leaders) but because she say how much he loved her. He seeked her out, showed her compassion, noticed her, went specifically to her. But the first thing he said when he approached her was not 'You are a horrible person and going to hell.' My understanding from Jesus stories is he never preached that way to a person that wasn't a believer yet. Truth and love. That is what the material taught. I'm heartbroken that Satan is winning a few battles here by destroying an organization who's purpose is to go unto all the world and share Jesus.

I wrote a comment under this video regarding the training. Please feel free to read it and ask me any questions. I think you should feel valid in concerns you have, and I think if you had the whole picture those concerns would be put at ease. Having been through the training, I can say with confidence it is biblically based and many things mentioned are not a true representation of the training or Cru’s theological stances.
Jon Harris has some good interviews on his program “Conversations that Matter” with former CRU staff. As former CCC staff, I was heart broken. They also have a long section of a CRU staff conference a few years ago where CRT was promoted. A white staff woman was left in tears because of the “guilt” she felt. It is really sick to watch.

Thank you for educating us on our slide into total apostasy, as it is gaining velocity.
I am new to the idea of "clobber passages," but it is based on an observation I made years ago that has never failed me in navigating day to day.
I found that when I (and others) are confronted on a subject that I (we) don't have a clear conscience over, or most importantly, that is taught in Scripture that I was ignoring or not yet aware of, we bristle and have a visceral response of disproportionate emotions.
I found this observational "tool" to be very helpful in revealing to me what I need to learn by going back to Scripture in order to further align my actions and attitudes with God's Word. I have found this to work every time.
When one calls a verse a "clobber" passage, it avoids the visceral response that the conscience God put within us is there to protect and bring more maturity to our walk (which truly born-again individuals crave.)
Thankful for your courage and not compromising. God before men.

Out of all these comments that are accusing Cru of being woke these conservatives more than anyone should know that many times media takes peoples words out of context. Alisa: In general, you do great work on your podcast, but there are some big disconnects only 10 minutes into this particular video: For example, at about 12:25, Uriah states that the Preston Sprinkle training given at CRU suggests one does not need to repent of same-sex lust. That is emphatically wrong, as anyone who has listened to Preston, or read his book _People To Be Loved_, can attest to that ANY kind of lust, whether it be same-sex or opposite-sex is sinful, and therefore requires repentance. (Sprinkle, People To Be Loved, p. 134). At 7:02, Marissa suggests that in the CRU training, they were instructed not to share this with their pastor. This is bizarre, as the Center for Faith, Sexuality, & Gender, associated with Preston, creates educational materials aimed at helping pastors more effectively minister to LGBTQ folks. Maybe the CRU presentation said that, as Marissa claims, but this is contrary to what the Center for Faith, Sexuality, & Gender is about. And at 8:10, as for how to address "clobber passages," Preston explains how to deal with those in his books, instead of trying to ignore them, as Marissa suggests. This is all very sad, as both Marissa and Uriah seem like lovely people who desire to follow Jesus whole heartedly. But it is really bothersome when another follower of Jesus, like Preston Sprinkle, is misrepresented in the process. I do not agree 100% with Preston on everything, but he deserves a fair hearing. Alisa: Can you please consider reaching out to Preston Sprinkle and having him on your show in order to get his side of the story? Thank you.

Keep in mind that the Cru training is curated for Cru. It's not his entire approach. There was stuff they didn't include because it wasn't something they agreed to endorse. Instead they chose to present multiple views and not just his on some matters, including pronouns. First, thank you Mundells for sharing your experience with the wider Body. This confirms concerns of my own after having a conversation with a long-time ministry acquaintance who works for CRU. I started picking up some of these same sliding values and a general dismissive attitude about it. When pressed, he rationalized it. These are times when all Christians are called to stand and not compromise. I appreciate the LORD refining us and helping us to discern the spirits of the world versus who He really is. Things are becoming more clear and for that I am thankful!
Im so glad to see this kind of courage. Jesus, help us all follow this brother and sisters’ lead!

So well said and explained. I pray to have the courage you have.
Whoa! Just started listening to this video and I hear “first, do not tell your pastor or anyone outside of the organization”. I immediately felt a punch to my gut because this is ONE of the most important, morally speaking things we are taught NOT to do. If there are secrets involved regarding most things then there is something seriously wrong at least where basic morals and how we live are concerned. A secret usually means there is something to hide and is a task no Christian or truth seeker should be asked to do. I am appalled by this and cannot believe someone in a position of purported relevance actually put this out there.
One of the other comments, purportedly from another Person, intimately acquainted with the organization, says that they have corrected this. He said that the Organization has an interdenominational approach and therefore doesn’t necessarily jump on every difference in doctrine, but they had some social justice type people come in, and some who invited those kind of people in, that it caused a big division in the organization. also that they realized they could not go in that direction and stopped it. Of course I don’t know what’s true or not, or if there are still people in the organization quietly promoting the things mentioned in this video. Time for due diligence. I do understand that the organization would not want to publicize all of this Internal controversy. Awkward to say the least, and potentially devastating to the bottom line. Well, the secular, worldly and financial bottom line.
It is sad that we need to have watchdogs for these organizations. But I think that’s what we do need.
Thank you for standing for the truth.

Same-Sex Attraction: We believe that same-sex attraction is contrary to God’s design for human sexuality. It represents a disordering of sexual desire in our fallen condition, which is neither morally neutral nor good. From a discipleship perspective, we also believe that all Christ-followers, including those who experience same-sex attraction, need encouragement, support, and love as they walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and battle temptation (Gal 6:2).

It seems my comment I posted yesterday isn't showing up. I'll try again. You're right Alisa, there are Cru staff listening 🙂I've been a subscriber for years and have recommended many of your videos. I taught our Cru students about false teachers and heresy recently and spotlighted progressive "Christianity" as a prime example - and benefited from your work on that. Thank you for your great work!
That's why I've been really discouraged to see some of how Cru has been portrayed recently - in particular by Rosaria, but also others. There is a lot I could comment on in this interview, but most skip long posts so I'll just mention a couple things.
This whole thing is very unfortunate. I don't know the Mundells, but I do know hundreds of Cru staff and leaders. I'm sad things turned out this way. I'm sure some of their critiques were valid and considered. At the same time, some things said in this video are just not accurate.
For example, at @12:33 Uriah says that the perspective from Cru is "if you're having lustful thoughts, as long as you're not acting on it, then that's not a problem." That is absolutely false. I don't know a single Cru staff who would agree with that, and it certainly is not in the curriculum.
I would encourage everyone to read Cru's official statement. Just search "Cru sexuality" and it is the top hit. (RUclips is blocking the direct link)
@BillyMogensen Thank you for taking notice of the problem at @12:33 . I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed this. If the Mundell's continue to insist that same-sex orientation/attraction are inherently sin, and not something distinct from lust, then this would be sad. But like you, I do not know any CRU staff who believe that "if you're having lustful thoughts, as long as you're not acting on it, then that's not a problem," and this idea is definitely something not being promoted by Preston Sprinkle. If other followers of Alisa's channel (which I normally appreciate immensely) are confused about this, they should read Sprinkle's _People To Be Loved_ for themselves.
Jesus didn’t separate attraction from lust or lust from adultery, and didn’t separate any of that from sin. We’re focused here on “the curriculum,” but not on what Scripture teaches. I am a sinner in need of God’s grace, and so are same-sex attracted people.
@@ajwerth7558 100% agree that we are all sinners in need of God's grace! And that we need to focus on what Scripture teaches. Amen. I'm not aware of anywhere in Scripture that teaches that simply observing that someone is attractive is sinful. If it does, please show me the passage. Why didn't Jesus separate attraction from lust? Because the difference is obvious. Honest question: do you think everyone on earth (unless you're married to them) is ugly? Or do you think some are attractive?
It is frustrating that the training my husband is forced to receive from his corporate job is not that much different than the training at CRU. This is why we dropped financial support of CRU

Hurray for the Mundell's spiritual grounding. Beautiful. As a Latter-day Saint, I loved their dedication and clarity. Bravo. We are all fighting this battle.
Ty Mansfield recently wtote An Open Letter to David Archuleta. It outlines this conflict in our community as well.
It's definitely a modern challenge. I applaud your willingness to defend the Lord's commandments.
Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) was adamant in seeking God in all things, fasting and praying when making decisions, seeking scripture and seeking God’s will in decisions. I wonder what he would say about all of this. There is a huge spiritual battle going on over so many Christian organizations and Christian universities. We need to pray over this.
Exactly. I think he would be appalled and saddened to see what has happened to the organization he founded.
This is going on in sooo many ministries across the American church. The Orange conference is a perfect example of this too. Bait and switch. There is an undertone of progressivism, but the surface is holding the line when confronted. There is a rotting as the dominoes continue to fall!
I appreciate how you covered this. I have noticed some of my more fundamental friends taking things too far in the other direction. I once heard a talk given by a gay christian. He had grown up gay in a christian house and he ended up rejecting God over it. His sexuality became his identity and he lived a terribly destructive lifestyle and ended up with AIDS and maybe hepatitis. When he hit rock bottom he turned to God. Now he finds his identity in Christ and lives celibate because he still struggles with homosexual desires. Even though he is preaching that homosexuality is sinful and using his own story to show the destruction that comes from embracing the lifestyle, I have friends who would not allow him to teach or lead because he still has gay desires. They forget that we all struggle with sin. I know several people who rejected God because they felt rejected by christians in similar ways. We must speak the truth but we should do it in love. You've done a good job of that here.
There is a ministry call the last reformation. Torbin saundguuard. He explains in many of his teaching’s that bondage to sin in a Christian’s life is due to a misunderstanding of repentance and baptism. Many have been set free Jesus is the deliverer
If I have any criticism at all of the church today, it’s about the man-made doctrine of cessationism. The idea that the Holy Spirit cannot heal people of things like identifying as homosexual, or of having the same-sex desires. It is a blanket rejection of a lot of the miraculous things in the New Testament, the things Jesus commanded us to do, as if the time for those were over. This is partially responsible for the idea that same-sex attraction cannot be overcome, and that acceptance of it is our only choice as a loving church.
What a lovely couple - - so humble and courageous. Great podcast.
Very wise and faithful couple!! I'm certain of your blessed future, in the name of our Precious LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!
Thank you for standing against incredible pressure. May the Lord use this situation to challenge false teaching in the church and give other believers courage to stand alone when they are the only ones.
Question: is this true of CRU internationally, or only in the USA? My church in New Zealand financially, relationally and prayerfully supports some local CRU missionaries and I’m now wondering whether I need to put this in front of my elders.
Yes, show your elders. The fish rots from the head down and unfortunately perversity starts in America and gets exported to the West, including Australia and NZ. Get out of that organization.
I'm Cru staff; probably just in U.S.
I think it would be wise to investigate locally and nationally there in New Zealand.
Well good news- Cru actually still does take a biblical stance on Marriage between a man and a woman so no need to worry. They haven't gone woke and do not support some of the things that this couple is accusing them of. Not sure if they did the same material I did because the one I did did not have all the things that they are being accused of having....
Thank you for exposing what's going on inside the staff at Cru. So sad to learn about, but so necessary to call out. Thank you for your bravery.
That whole, "clobber passage" phrase comes right out of the mouth of Andy Stanley.
"Clobber passages ". Wow.
No, it comes from the mouth of Satan.
Gadfly, by chance are you from Atlanta ? I am. And it sounds exactly what Andy would say.
Thank you for bringing this to light. I have donated once or twice a year for, I think, close to a decade. I'm watching and waiting for Cru's return to a Biblical foundation to donate again. I will pray for Cru and this amazing young couple. Thank you for serving the Lord in truth.
It's really important to know when you watch this that this is only one side of the story, and one perspective out of thousands of people who are on staff with Cru. I encourage everyone to look for the facts and talk to Cru staff that you might know personally. Remember this is one podcaster asking questions that lead to a certain conclusion, based on one couple's interpretation of this training. I promise you there are MUCH more balanced perspectives on this training that is fully in-line with historic Christian values and doctrine. No disrespect intended to the Mundells but it's only one perspective.
I think trying to soft pedal any sin is sad. That's why our current culture is sooo lost. Sign of the times. As in the Days of Noah.....
CRU staff with whom we have “tried” to talk to about issues we have heard about CRU and even the parts of staff trainings we have watched where total junk was shared, the staff give canned answers. I can hook you up with long time staff - even friends on staff over 40 years and part of overall leadership, who left staff disgusted and sickened by how unBiblical it was becoming. I just don’t trust most staff who have remained .
@@cd3zinctonic130 I agree, soft pedaling sin is extremely sad. Promise you that this is not the case in Cru.
@@samuelishikawa7707 Samuel, I've been with Cru for 36 years serving to reach high school and college students for Christ. We are not a perfect organization and naturally not everyone agrees on the best approach to reach the lost for Christ. But I can promise you we have not drifted from our primary mission of winning students to Christ, building them in their faith, and sending them to reach their peers. I'm sorry that some feel Cru is becoming unBiblical because I can tell you that nothing is further from the truth.
Sadly, we do have friends with CRU, on staff for 40 years and in leadership too (sat in on many a leadership meeting down in Orlando,) who saw the handwriting on the wall. We had a chat a few years ago about why they left staff and they were some of the biggest CRU rah rahs you could meet. They are now on staff with a Biblically solid ministry. No one ever dreamed it would come to this.
Thank you for telling this story.
Even though the story isn't completely factual and doesn't actually give the whole story...I don't know if I want to thank a couple for inaccurately attacking Cru who's goal is that every tribe, tongue and nation be reached with the gospel. Pretty sure Satan is rejoicing in this situation...
47:45 This is painful for them. To think they both lost their income and colleagues is devastating. Why am I not surprised?
They brought it on themselves, though. There was plenty of room to have a conversation within Cru about this without going to the public about it. They refused to do that. No one intended to fire them, but they went into that meeting with no intention of backing down on that one thing, and that's the one thing Cru is really serious about. In-house debates should remain in-house. They've fired people on the woke left for similar things when they wouldn't shut up about their complaints in public that the organization is white supremacist.
@@Parableman Also I know people who are in charge of firing for Cru (my friends argue it should be easier to fired someone). I don't know their full situation but I don't think they are as innocent as they claim to be.
@@elizabethnorvell2185 I know the guy who actually had the conversation with them. He went into the conversation intending to make things work out, but he came to realize during the conversation that it wasn't going to be possible.
By the way… I was just talking to someone two days ago about the name Uriah and how honorable he was, and what a man of integrity. You are living up to your name by insisting on integrity, truth, and honesty.
Please like this comment for Alisa to see that she should have Preston Sprinkle on her podcast so she can confront him face to face in a Biblical, Matthew 18 manner. Preston is in the wrong in his theology, but we need to handle this situation Biblically to give him the proper opportunity to repent and clear the air about any misunderstandings of his views. According to Preston, he has reached out to Alisa and not received a response.
I was supporting with a small monthly check the family in our university town. I had to stop when Black Lives Matter initially started in our University and the big supporters in our church and town were The Cru family on campus. This was not the ministry that Bill Bright started! So proud of your decision.
Am I missing something? I’ve watched Preston sprinkle do interviews with Sean McDowel and he affirms traditional Biblical marriage.
Preston and Sean are good buddies. AT this point I do not trust much that comes out of Biola.
I think they misrepresented some of what Preston and Sean are teaching.
He does affirm traditional marriage along with Cru.
I am so saddened to hear of this about CRU. I was involved with CCC as a student from Explo 72 until 1978. I would never have imagined this would have happened. Thank you for standing for the word of God!
It actually hasn't. Do some research for yourself what Cru actually says on the issue. I've done the material and much of what is portrayed by this couple is innacurate.
I appreciate the concern about nurturing or indulging the flesh or sinful desires. I still think there’s still confusion about the difference between struggling w temptation vs indulging and accommodating it.
But Alisa knows it’s there and is working on it. Not trying to be difficult… just concerned that there’s still confusion in the conversation around temptation and the pursuit of holiness. We need to commit to take every thought captive, while not discouraging those struggling with sin as though they are being rebellious when they simply have a sin nature that they must battle. It’s tough to articulate …
I wonder if the framing of the question is wrong. All temptations are sinful - within & without - but will we seek to work on them within and without?! Fleeing locations or situations of sin and seeking to be transformed by the renewal of my mind.
Totally agree. Perhaps you see someone and are attracted to them. I don’t think that’s a sin. It does become a sin when you start to fantasize. At least that’s my opinion. :) Would really like to hear Jackie Hill Perry’s take on this.
Exactly, the way AC describes the desire is in a way that it has already been acted upon. She skips the part where the desire arises and it is entices us. If we start from there, we realize that we are drawn to the sinful desire because it is our strongest desire, the implication of the Greek word epithymia (epi like epicenter). We will have conflicting desires throughout our life, and when we continue to turn our desires toward God they will become our greatest desires and overcome our fleshly desires that were strongest at one point. Tim Keller says it this way “it’s not that we want bad, it’s that we want it so badly.”
@@RoseyPosey545yes you are on the right track. We must remember that temptation can be an attack from the enemy. In Mark 1, we can see how Satan tempted Jesus during his fast in the desert. Was Jesus in sin due to his temptation? Of course not. We must put on the armor of God as depicted in Ephesians 6.
That was part of Cru's purpose on doing the material...to help staff know how to articulate what the bible teaches (living outside of Gods covenant of man and woman marriage is wrong) but also knowing how. to love people in the way that Jesus did. I think the material really helps artriculate what the bible is saying.
I appreciate this conversation. I left a church staff - a church that I deeply loved and that had impacted me - bc they began to compromise on this issue. So, so sad. It’s so hard when you love people and have relationships. And when you feel indebted to spiritual mentors who are now compromising , it is so wrenching. At least it was for me. And i really questioned myself, too. Am I being too hardline?
Hey Nate (good name by the way), I’d encourage you to read comments from Cru staff under this video. I wrote one where I outlined some misrepresentations. For example, I took the time to look through one piece of the training material and found over 190 scripture references, not including the appendix and the videos or articles in the online portion. Feel free to ask me any questions or concerns and I’d like to answer them for you!
@@nathanmcindoo6013 thank you for this reply. AC should find someone to interview from Cru.
It did cross my mind that we are only getting one side of the story.
I get AC’s passion to help a church battling compromise, but we don’t want to damage faithful Christians w friendly fire either.
I appreciate your reply as well. It is good to try to seek out facts from both sides. I don’t think the Mundell’s are malicious at all in what they shared. Probably similar to how siblings can share a radically different experience from growing up in the same household. I will say, Cru isn’t perfect. In this regard though, they are very biblically sound, view lust in any way as sin, and in the process have not compromised their views in this area. Hopefully eventually there is a way where Cru can represent the full picture in a way that won’t contribute to this unneeded division. Check out Cru’s site if you want by the way, they do clarify their stance there and it is in full alignment with our training.
Uriah and Marissa, thank you for taking the stand you did. This is heartbreaking, but as you noted, this is not a new development; it’s been a problem that has been developing for several years. There is an eleventh commandment of Cru that has been in place for decades: never disagree with leadership. But sometimes leaders must be questioned and corrected.
These verses come to my mind over these topics. There is a line you don’t want to cross.
“Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear-hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”
Jude 1:22-23
“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:1-2
What is CRU?
Campus Crusade for Christ was mentioned near the beginning but that would be CCC.
It stands for Crusader Union. They focus on brainwashing youth with woke ideology. It is evil and funded by activists. They are active in Australia and New Zealand.
Campus Crusade for Christ rebranded itself as Cru a few years back.
@@chriswatson276 Crusader Union. They focus on brainwashing youth with woke ideology.
@@chriswatson276 That was probably a warning sign. There was some element of shame related to the term "crusade" that was evidence of squishiness in retrospect.
@@EbolaStew Absolutely right.
Grateful for your courage to stand for what you believe is truth according to the Word of God. Sometimes it means standing alone, yet knowing God is by your side. May you be blessed in whatever God calls you to next. So thankful for your voice and the compassion you have to stand firm on Biblical truth.
