I have an 04 that’s been sitting for two years it was my best friends who’s passed away but the car started pissing coolant after running for the first time in over a year. Are these seals/pumps a common thing in the DE platform?

@isiahgoslee6727 probably dry rot seals.. but another notorious thing about these cars sitting up are getting stuck solenoids

Hello, I just replaced my thermostat on my 06 g35. When I go ahead and open up the radiator cap to put coolant in, I start leaking from my thermostat housing. I did all the steps right but I don’t know what can be the issue.

It's hard to tell when I'm not there looking at it

Is it leaking from the mating surface of the thermostat?
If so, did you apply the rtv along the mating surface, torquing the bolts just snug and leave it for about an hour before torquing everything to spec?

How long do you have to wait for the thermostat to stick ??

I'm replacing my thermostat today on my 2010 FX35... Ive been losing coolant since the other day with no noticeable signs of coolant leaks, but also i wasn't getting any heat inside my car during idle, only when driving... so, i'm changing this and also looking for a leak.

Just hope it's not a head gasket leak

@@thepineappler3370 I dont have the symptoms of a head gasket leak: foamy oil, white smoke, weird smalls or overheating... so not sure what it could be, but after i change it i will driev around like normal and if it happens again I'm taking to Infiniti for an assessment.

Hey! I am having the same issue with my cabin not heating while at idle. Did the thermostat fix the problem? Thank you 😊

I’m hoping it’s just that & not the heater core 😳

Would this help with the AC? Cause my ac is running hot instead of cold?

    • @thepineappler3370
      @thepineappler3370  3 месяца назад

No.. your AC is completely unrelated it's a separate system. Only thing that relates them are the pulleys and belts

I'm trying to remember which light you're talking about.. I sold my infiniti a year ago. Have you run a scan on it?

@jonathanalarcon806 I think it's an indicator that showed it over heated.. not really sure. Did a search and came up with this.. but still uncertain

I tried replacing mine but it wouldn’t let me bleed out all the air , idk if the thermostat was bad bought it from autozone , so I put my old one back in (thermostat delete) and my car normal again.

You have to buy oem parts only for these car, any aftermarket parts won’t work the same as oem

Autozone thermostat didn’t work on my m35, it still overheated. so I bought one on eBay that looked the EXACT same as mine and it worked.
