This time we’re exploring south of Portugal and as you’ve seen, we’re back in a VAN! We never thought we would do it again BUT we upgraded this time and got a more comfortable one, which turned out to be the absolute best way to travel all South of this beautiful country!
We see so many nice places and give you a van-tour to see how it actually is living in one.
AND! We see DOLPHINS and awesome caves!

As vegans you must love Indian restaurants as you get plenty of options. The Vegan BK was definitely very interesting. I have heard Portugal is beautiful, definitely on my bucket list. Never done Europe but hopefully can start looking at it soon.
You can live around Lisbon avoiding the city centre so you can have the beach nearby and still reach the city centre easily. Cascais, Setúbal, Caparica are some amazing options and transportation is very good in those areas.
Where I live in Figueira da Foz it gets hot in summer but has the sea breeze which makes it fine and not uncomfortable - that's the difference from the south.
Nathalie and Stefano, it is so great to see more of the world thanks to the two of you. By the way, thanks to your recommendation, I bought one of the Manta masks and the cooling attachments - very happy with the products. Happy travels :)

South of Portugal is lovely, however extremely dry and hot in summer - almost similar to Dubai conditions even if not as hot as there.
I went to visit a friend close to Faro in August - beautiful area & seaside but it was very dry and hot, very uncomfortable between 12:00 to 17:00 hrs when you just need to close the blinds for the house not to get too hot.
Oh my I would totally live in Cascais! There is a small very touristic area but outside of that it is quaint and beautiful. I have spent many weeks there in both summer and winter and it’s beautiful. I saw you drive through Estoril with the yellow ‘castle’ on the promenade. Cascais and Estoril are both featured James Bond movies.
Yes! There is a very big beach less than 10 minutes away from the center, more wild. They didn't go to the right spots!
12:56 verry nice van - i am happy for you that you live in nature outside , and explore a new style of life and more . is good that you have a driving licence for car and VAN and can make your life easy and safe a lot money instead to stay on HOTEL like 14 days ... (arround 1400 $ save )

09:25 Actually that price is that high because you started paying tolls near Lisbon. Essentially tolls in Portugal are paid for every kilometre after entering in the first toll booth.
Since you were 211 km on a toll road from Coina to Paderne, it's actually only 16 cents per kilometre, which is not that bad considering that you were driving on a van.
You actually ended up escaping the best places in the South of Portugal for you, like Évora. You need to come again! ;)
