There is one thing I have come to know about AI. Everyone thinks their jobs are safe while everyone else's job is vulnerable. I think they call it "Confirmation Bias".
The one thing I have noticed is that AI can’t be held responsible. If there is any job that AI makes obsolete it is all these high paid bozos that say AI will revolutionize everything while avoiding the critical question Who will be responsible???
If you’re a white collar employee, the suggestion is AI can replace what you do. But it can also replace what your coworkers can do. In fact, it can probably replace what the company you work for can do. So, instead of worrying about your job, use AI to replace the job and go to customers directly. Fire your employer and do business directly with customers. Use AI as a full blown business.
No it can't. AI is a scam. It hallucinates so frequently and fabricates and steals from people but it does not have the capacity to replace live human beings. Any business that is doing so is going to end up wishing that they hadn't.
So start a business? You make that sound like a cake walk lol It’s not. Not to mention the financial aspect, taxes, any licenses needed depending on industry…etc.
@@kozzietea you will have ai to do much of the work. Of course you can also choose to not compete in the marketplace, and watch your ex employer reap all the benefits.

OP is saying that so far, tech has proven to be problematic and untrustworthy so it's hard to buy into their narrative about how AI will have a positive impact on society.
Honestly If was an A.I developer, my focus would be world domination. I would set a fail safe code just in case they become sentient. I know there's developers out there that thinks like me and that why we should limit A.I development.
World domination would come from a company or government, as no single developer has the resources. Significant research has been conducted on AI failsafes. However, there are challenges and disagreements on encoding human values, controlling AGI, ensuring corrigibility, verifying safety, and achieving global cooperation on standards.

I can say AGI will bring a lot of jobs to teaching look an AI agent for all classes means a personal tutor for every kid making even the kids that fall behind way less likely two. this is nothing but a good thing and it will make lots of jobs because someone has to run the data centers and keep the AI running and when it brings 10x in value it's almost impossible to say know. the kids today in school are so lucky compared to my generation where you were pretty much on your own if you had learning difficulties failure would become your best friend. this should give kids that need that Personal Touch a little bit more help. its funny though all the mainstream media seems to be ignoring the elephant in the room the fact is if there are jobs in the future like what they say they will be mostly fake jobs that the AGI could do better and for all intensive purposes the only jobs that will be available are management and maintenance jobs. its almost comical how oblivious mainstream media is this is like the early days of Bitcoin all over again but this time its every job mostly it will happen slowly then most people will wake up one day to see half of all jobs gone with the other half not to far behind it. its the job apocalypse. not the people apocalypse all it is. is the system changing to a 4 shift work week and a UBI coming online after that.
