I can’t believe this video has only 298 views as I watch it now for the third time. I find Sami’s videos so informative, moving, and deeply intelligent. I’m not Muslim and I don’t speak Arabic, though my father was Egyptian. That said, I love the way Sami mixes religion with his politics, I love the righteousness of his positions, and I appreciate that I feel smarter and better informed when I hear these talks. I often have difficulty explaining why I can’t support Biden, though I am a Democrat. My best reason, that seems to be worth little in the arguments I have with people, is ultimately what Sami says here-it’s the right thing to do, and the struggle is meaningful.
