When you make the car that loose to start with you get great short run speed, but when your tires start to wear down and lose grip you will start having your back end sliding and getting loose in corners. Once this happens it accelerates tire wear even more and spirals the problem. When you notice this happening go ahead and pitt and tighten the wedge a few notches up.
Bulldawg Slays the less wedge you put in the car the more loose it gets, the more wedge you put the more you tighten your car. Tape is for aerodynamics which makes your car go faster.
Trevor, you gotta check your tire wear. That’s why you lost some of the grip you had early in the race. You can adjust tire wear and fuel in the settings if you don’t want to worry about that.
His grip looks to be more due to his loose set up than tire wear. With such a loose set up, when the car would normally twitch, it wants to turn. And as the pack starts to widen out, he starts to get more aggressive, trying to make any gains.
For sure! I think it was wear plus how loose my setup was. Definitely don’t want it to be too easy, need to have a drawback to being that loose haha. If we were doing longer races it would work, I could pit and get new tires or tighten it up. With the shorter races, probably best to be more in the middle of tight/loose.
Hey Trevor, if you read this make sure you have your driving assists turned off. They make you slower. Looks like you had brake assist on that's what slowed you down. But just practice with everything off. The less you use the faster you are. Also like others have said loose cars are fast but lose grip quicker. Check your race length settings and your tire wear and fuel multipliers. I like to run 25% race length and 4x wear so I can finish races kinda quick but still have to pit during the race. Glad to see you getting in to Nascar again this year. Hope you continue this series
Trev, if you go to Driving Assists in the settings, turning those down will stop that automatic slow down - which if I am correct is just the setting which stops you from spinning out. Also, I have seen some other comments which explain well about the Tight and Loose part, try and find those as it will teach you a lot. Great video, thanks.
Coming from a racing back Ground, tires got used up and went away, and when it skates all over the place you are lose, and the slowing you down is your break assistance, you have to turn it down in settings
Just a few tips: 1.)You can put custom setups in to make your car handle better and in turn go faster, 2.) There are assists you can adjust in settings like throttle and brake assists turn those off, 3.) turn stages on so it gives you breaks in the race, 4.) turn strict yellows on in the settings, 5.) change race length to 13 or 25% and tire wear to 3 or 4xnormal in settings for more realistic racing
With stock cars a lot of times the line isn’t all the way down to the white line...it’s all about momentum and keeping that momentum up, so on a banked track you want to run higher sometimes to let your car glide
Usually don’t watch all your videos but I definitely don’t miss any of your nascar or F1 vids! Big race fan! Hopefully you keep playing and enjoying NASCAR!
If you keep noticing the car gets off the throttle when you are not letting off, theres a setting under the driving aids. Its in the pause menu once you are driving. You can adjust how much braking the computer will do for you and other various adjustments instead of putting it all the way loose and losing your car after a few laps. Hope this helps!
Ok trev... your lap time is based on your line on the track throttle management and when and where you brake for corner entry and also how well you do on corner exit. Be aware with cup cars they are so aero-sensitive a small scrape on the wall can throw off how the car handles, and also as the cars lay down more rubber you can go faster and the line isnt always the bottom as the fastest. It is generally but you can side-draft off the top and run the top and create a lot of momentum to help get a run on the cars in front of you. Dont be afraid to run by the wall or just change your line entirely.
Being loose wears your tires, but so does diving so deep into the corners like you were doing. It's fine occasionally, especially at the start to pick up a bunch of positions, but it destroys your tires. .
I watched an interview with Dale Earnhardt Jr where he was talking about following that figurative line and his dad Dale Earnhardt Sr told him that you hold the wheel tight and force the car to stay at the bottom of the track because it literally saves 1000s of feet of driving.
I just did a rough google earth measurement at Talladega on inside line vs top groove and came up with inside being approx 221 LF shorter. Multiply that x 188 laps for a 500 mile race and the bottom hug is approx 7.8 MILES shorter! Of course bottom line is not always quicker w/ respect to momentum, but interesting comparison (in response to Daniel Meanor)
Just a tip. Entering the corner, you want to "arc your corner" or take it next to the wall and work to the line. Exiting, you want to keep your speed up and let the car drift towards the wall, maintaining momentum.
Also a word of advice. When it’s you and another car together and a pack in front starts pulling away, you need to work with that one car and draft each other to catch up. When you battle with that one car it allows the bigger pack to pull away and causes you to catch up by yourself.
It's so hard not to comment negatively on your driving styles in this and f1, so instead I'll just say you seem like a decent person, and you are a great RUclipsr, and I won't let your questionable driving change that opinion.
you were also skating around because you loosened the car up so much. You probably should have left it where it was before you went to qualifying. In the words of the great Harry Hodge (Days of Thunder) "Loose is fast, and on the edge of out of control." Love the vids Trev!
You have to go high as possible on the banking and push down on the turn so you have some sort of hill to increase speed, you are always keeping it in the middle not much momentum
trev idk if you saw my comment last video but the reason your qualifying was bad last race but your performance in race was decent is because you were on a restrictor plate track, daytona and talledega are the only 2. on those tracks, drafting and strategy matters more than individual car performance. drafting can give you 5-10 MPH boosts to minimize the difference between your bottom team car and kyle bush’s top notch car. and as you did in this video, loosening up helps as well
Trevor the green lined is the preferred line and at tracks like this you can run under that white line on the straights and there is other grooves and for loose and tight really determine and if you make it to loose you can spin it in the corner and tight just makes it stiff but at any track always hug that bottom line like it's your momma
Man, I know what you mean by having a good early start then it all goes south, I just got the game and play with a wheel and pedals too, super fun! Great video!
Definitely loosen up for practice and then tighten up a bit for the race. But also, you don't have to always go the very inside of a turn as it can slow you down.
I was going to say something about turning sensitivity down on your wheel to cope with the fact that the car was very touchy with steering which slowed you down but I guess loosening the car in game worked
Do you guys know what im thinking...? Well probably not so let me tell ya: I was thinking... How does trev not have at least 5 million if not 10 million subs yet?! Its just unbelievable!
I feel like you understand the basics of drafting but you're forgetting to watch your bump draft. when a car is gaining on you, you can block it and gain a bump draft. also I know its hard especially with the wheel but the wall gives you draft too so if you're on an island between packs just ride the wall in straights and hug the corners tight. Great video!

Soooooo racing?
I just have my car loose because you can get amazing runs off exit. You just have to know when the car will step out and know how to save it
What does wedge and tape actually affect
Bulldawg Slays the less wedge you put in the car the more loose it gets, the more wedge you put the more you tighten your car. Tape is for aerodynamics which makes your car go faster.
Josh Elliott thanks

Trevor, you gotta check your tire wear. That’s why you lost some of the grip you had early in the race. You can adjust tire wear and fuel in the settings if you don’t want to worry about that.
It’s weird how loose he got when he was only at 80-70% tire wear though
His grip looks to be more due to his loose set up than tire wear. With such a loose set up, when the car would normally twitch, it wants to turn. And as the pack starts to widen out, he starts to get more aggressive, trying to make any gains.

Have you ever thought about streaming a full race? could be really cool, miss you on twitch!
Yes bro fr
on that thought..
No that would be way to long, it would take at least 2 hours
@@nathanrogers986 some of us have the time tho, and will probably be good money for him and the game. But that's just a theory, a game theory. Lol
@@nathanrogers986 You know you can skip through videos or just come back later right? lol
If you’re reading this hope you’re having a great day! !!!
Tnx you too🙂
Ricardo Ballesteros thanks
Ayyyy.... 69 likes that makes my day even better
You to
It my birthday and I’m having a great day
That’s the disadvantage of having a loose car, your tires wear quicker with a loose car than a balanced/tight car
I hope this is a full series I love this game and tmartn2 you are one of my favorite RUclipsrs keep it up

This series is goat tier
I just wish this series episodes were longer thats how much i love them
Yay. So Glad to See both Nascar and Formula 1 in the Same day. Love all the content. Keep Up The Great Work Trevor and Stay Safe

Let’s go I’ve been ready for this
At Las Vegas in a real race they go on the apron because it is basically like a shortcut. At Phoenix the apron is very important to go on
I’m glad you inverted the camera. Makes it so much better
Usually don’t watch all your videos but I definitely don’t miss any of your nascar or F1 vids! Big race fan! Hopefully you keep playing and enjoying NASCAR!

Today's was the best episode in the nascar series

In the pause menu you can change your driving assist. You have breaking assist on
Keep this series up man! This is so entertaining to watch.
Loving the vids trev
Thanks for doing these!

I can't believe people can drive for how many laps, 200? That's crazy..
Loving this and the other racing series!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
Scrolling all day for this finally love you tmartin2
I am really excited for this series!
trev's a man of many talents
HEY TREV LOVE THE VIDEOS. YOU KEEP ME HAPPY THROUGH QUARANTINE.
Tmartin i love watching your videos i always want to watch your videos after coming home from school

Your killing it keep up the good work 👍🏽
Hey Trevor, to make it easier on your arms, turn down force feedback and the wheel won't want to jump as much
The graphics on this game are beautiful 😍
you are an absolute legend at gaming dude
Can’t Wait For Truck Series.
Tmartn the goat 🐐
You should probably put strict cautions on in case you spin and crash again 😂
I say Trevor Martin is the best youtuber in the world hands down
Love seeing you play a nascar game
Nice vid keep up the nascar
I’m loving the racing content
i love your nascar heat videos, they are my afternoon fun, greeting from chile

11:50 You spun out below the white line, I think that caused you to do the 360.
Most tracks you should make the car 50/50 between tight and loose
What an episode keep it up 👍
More Hyped for the F1 2020 series. But love this as well. Keep the good content coming!
Hi tmart I love your vids man I've been watching for 4 years and I love watching you keep up the good work
Love the series keep it up
Man, I know what you mean by having a good early start then it all goes south, I just got the game and play with a wheel and pedals too, super fun! Great video!
Please make this a full series my dad watches nascar and I showed him the first video and we watched this one together, tough crash
Definitely loosen up for practice and then tighten up a bit for the race. But also, you don't have to always go the very inside of a turn as it can slow you down.
Some of the driver assist settings will auto brake for you. this is not a track where you always floor it. You have to lift and coast a little
Lovin this series!!! I love nascar!!! 💙🏁
We need longer nascar videos!
Tips: On the Superspeedways stay on the outside.
Always draft off of people.
That’s it
Love the videos 👍👍
Trevor back at it again with the wheel. Love the series. Keep up the amazing work!
I was going to say something about turning sensitivity down on your wheel to cope with the fact that the car was very touchy with steering which slowed you down but I guess loosening the car in game worked
This man is the one thing that's keeping me going through this mess😂
Loving The Videos Tmartn keep up the great work!
Love ur
vids keep it up
Love the nascar vids
Do you guys know what im thinking...?
Well probably not so let me tell ya:
I was thinking...
How does trev not have at least 5 million if not 10 million subs yet?!
Its just unbelievable!
Hey Trevor, not hating or anything but Brendan Gaughan is pronounced like “gone”. Just though I would let you know from a longtime NASCAR fan
Tnx was gonna say something
Glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed that
Thx I was going to say something my self as a longtime NASCAR fan as well, it was disturbing me a bit
Me to I noticed that
Thanks 🙏🏼
4:32, qualifying from Las Vegas. Here. We. Go.
Love your videos so much Trev, they are so well done
When you loosen the car up it becomes faster but unpredictable, keep it kinda tight
I saw your f1 video it was awesome
40th place😮😮😮
You were killing it until the second half. Ahhh that's a bummer 🙄..
You'll get it soon man!
Up the length of the races so there are cautions when someone wrecks
That's not the issue. He probably just has the option on relaxed or off...
Trev likes it loose 😏😂
You should turn on cautions, and take off whatever assist you have on that allows you to hold it wide open the whole lap
Btw that one turn was super hard because of how loose your car was, you want it loose but not to loose.
Trev- I see we have some players.
Siri yes ??
haha when he said "I see we" see we was mistaken for siri lolll
I'm 2 years late to the video but I love your content keep up the good work! (I only figured out about this game yesterday)
I like how he said a little bit of contact but the car he has contact with the backend of the car was shaking.
If you wanna have a lot of fun with NASCAR turn cautions on make race Length about 30% Turn stage races on tire and fuel wear do x3 and hold on
Keep at it
Turn the cautions on 😂
You are Amazing and your dog is Amazing to keep up the good work dud and please do more video like this please
if ur looking for the wreck
