    When I'm on my death-bed I will be glad I had kids, glad I spent as much time as possible outdoors, and glad I discovered Oceansize.

    I've seen Oceansize open up for Porcupine Tree back in '05. Best concert ever! (Amplifier comes close though).
    It's an honor to know and listen to this band. The split-up even helps to preserve their timeless and very unique musical accomplishment(s).
    Oceansize forever!
    (The commemorative t-shirt still looks good after nearly seven years!)

    I don't know how to cope with this band's spliting up. I watched Feed to Feed randomly on cable less than a month or so ago and I was happy cuz I'd found a new amazing band with a decent name (yeah) and immediately discovered they're no longer together... now they're one of my favorite bands ever!! I even get lifeus exitus from their song "Women Who Love Men Who Love Drugs" tattooed on my collarbone

    Could've been, but wasn't. Vennart (the singer) has said that he (they) got disappointed that they didn't get more credit for their second album, Everyone Into Position. That's why they tried to get rid of some of the expectations when making "Frames", to not get as disappointed if it didn't become a hit.
    Also, If I remember correctly, their label only had one band: Oceansize. I'd guess they made a big effort to try make the band as big as possible.

    Maybe.
    However, true beauty cannot be handed to you on a silver plate, you have to get out and look for it, and I'm so fucking glad I made the effort and found this band, because they are truly the best band I've ever heard. First song I heard was 'Trail of Fire', and it just went from there.

    This has 5,985 views and Bieber probably has views in the millions. Why has Darwin's theory of natural selection forsaken us?!

    • @deeemess

      Because natural selection works on the basis of "good enough", not "absolute best" :(

    @MikeoWar or it could be the band's choice. Not to go big you know

  • @MikeoWar
    @MikeoWar 13 лет назад +20

    I'm going to sound like a fanboy, but the reason this band isn't the biggest band in the world is because people are musically stupid in general and don't recognize beauty when they hear it.
    It pisses me off.
