It’s so sweet that your brother is willing to help people out with renting a room like that. You guys seem like responsible caring landlords. It’s so awesome to see. ☺️
You and your brother are splitting images of each other! I wouldn't be able to tell if he hijacked your channel, haha! 🤣 Nonetheless, great video, love that you had him over your channel!
Do you have tips for finding a house to hack? I’ve just been using trulia to look around and not seeing much. Some areas just don’t have many multi fam houses. Or the ones I’m seeing are way out of price range. Also not sure what kind of income I’d need for 200-300k fha loan..if you have any tips on where to learn I’d love to know. Thanks for sharing and congrats to you and your bro!
You should make a video on how to analyze house hacks. I feel like your channel is very personalized for people who’d like to get into house hacking and I’d definitely call you as my realtor if you were in my area. Just like a video of you skimming through listings running the numbers would be very helpful for people like me who are planning on doing their first house hack. Cheers brother!
I did one on how I run my numbers where I look at a few on the market a few months ago. I'm happy to hook you up with a great realtor if your in the us!
Hey there, awesome content. How did Nate find the house? Did he just walk around the neighborhood then talk to the homeowner if it was not on the market? And what state are you guys in? I'm from Oregon. Thanks!
This is a great point. I house hack and it does have a myriad of issues. Renters not paying on time or at all, people judging you for being a “leech,” property damage, legal issues, etc. However, I think (while these things are common and inevitable) at the end of the day house hacking, property management, landlording IS worth it (in my opinion).
I did airbnb in my own house for two years and I averaged way less than 50% occupancy and my house was super upgraded with hardwood floors and modern kitchen and bathrooms. there is no way he can get almost no vacancy
Location is everything. For instance, I live just outside D.C and housing occupancy is extremely high in this area, there is actually a shortage of housing in some parts
?/ if you are working to build out and then rent and then run an air b and b...how the hell is that "retired"?? i would call that "self employed" which is totally NOT the same thing. very misleading
The real estate market in the U.S is so much better than in Canada. Here in Vancouver and Toronto (especially in the Greater Toronto Area) good luck finding a home for a down payment of 15k. You're looking at $800k-1.2 million, with housing prices increasing on average 5% per year. Oh, did I forget the absurd cost of renting? 1 bedroom condo, you're looking at 1.7K to 2K per month LOL
Great interview Gabe! It was nice hearing Nate’s perspective. I always enjoy when you have your family on. 💯 Is your cousin Josh going to make another appearance as well? I thought your last discussion about learning a trade vs. going to college was pretty cool.
Hey there, Gabe! I'll be out on the east coast (Baltimore/New York) in April if you're still interested in doing a video together. Hit me up and let me know. Cheers!
Don't know that you want to give people access to your space. What if they stole your identity? Definitely agree that couples and also families with kids would probably not do this for privacy and safety reasons.

Great that you guys can do that where you live. In the area where I live (SF, CA), houses average about $2M or $1K/sq ft, so very hard to do this.
Yep totally. I'm in Santa Cruz area and the numbers don't even come close haha!
The combined potential between these two guys is amazing. If they continue at the rate they are going they will be millionaires.
Hi Gabe! OMG he's your brother for SURE! You look like each other hahaha!
Just a tad haha
Guillaume L lol came to comment that🤣
Great video, Gabe!

It was on the MLS it was a pretty good deal at the time
We are from New Hampshire
What happens when you get that hard client. The one who messes up the house or won't pay
What have been the issues though? What has it been like renting to weekly renters? Has there been property damage, etc?

It really depends on your location and your pricing we have both been around 90 to 95% the entire time we've been doing it
