Great Trick with the CDC. What fly do you use, when the fish feed slightly subsurface? You know, when you der the back fin and the tail break the surface, but never the head.....

well, usually i pinch out cdc to allow it to sink. Or i use wet fly... But, surprisingly well can work beaded nymph lifted in front of the fish... if u know what i mean?

Another very good pattern with really valuable instruction. I especially am impressed with the CDC bubble. Keep up the good work. You have quickly become one of my favorite channels. One question, do you usually fish this fly trailing behind a dry? Thank you

Thank you so much. Very much appreciated. Almost always i use just one fly. Just a habit from serbia. Its forbidden to compete with two flies in serbia.
This fly i use as dry. Body is submerged while bubble is on the surface relatively easy to see and follow

@@Oholisfliesandfishing Don't you have a hard time following this fly in broken or fast water? In this regard, to you have any tips for tying flies that are easier to see in low light? I hope to be going to the Madison River in July and fishing the caddis activity that takes place in the evening and I could sure use some suggestions. Thanks very, and stay safe.

@@rjf1877 usually if i have to use it in broken water i would make it with snowshoe for wings-not bubble...
When it comes for evening caddis hatch white is the best... So, bleached elk hair or snowshoe fkr wings will work fine... But when it gets dark you will have to rely on sound and feel.
After light goess off completely try to hear when fish takes your fly...
Another trick is to use very buoyant fly which you can swing across the surface in that case you will feel the strike.
Hope this will help you. I wish u wonderful trip mate... Wish i can fish for some trouts and graylings

Well, I started fly fishing some 20yrs ago at the same time i started tying my own flies... :)
I was member of serbian national team for few years. The best result was second place in state championship... i had several medals for some local competitions...one third place in local montenegro competition...
I had competed twice in world championships... first time in bosnia (2015)..... second time in slovakia (2017)...and in slovakia was my best result...i was fifth in one sector..using only dry fly :)
Overall in slovakia i was 66th... which made me very happy to be honest... it was tough and i ended up in front of some really good fly fisherman...
