I recently bought one of these under yet another name, fairly cheap but it is actually quite good and accurate. Unlike these examples it has an inclinometer in the base when you turn it upside down. Its a lightweight plastic coated metal -prob Aluminium. I've bought expensive compasses where the sighting is really difficult and hard to read and the dial difficult to turn while sighting but they're very usable on these. Also has night glow and you can adjust for declination. Its hard to ask it for anything more. The Cammenga's tritium will beat it but that has no inclinometer.

You had me at "the heavy duty camouflage print cover ensures that the compass always remains out of sight of any predatory glances." LOL 😆

Weren’t all five compasses basically the same or similar Chinese-made POS compass? I looked forward to this video because I thought that different compasses (that were actually issued to the military) would be compared-contrasted. Instead I see virtually the same compass, with a lot of BS, and silly, pseudo-terms like “military grade.” The title of the video should’ve been “The Top Five Wannabe Military Compasses that Any Real Soldier Would Be Embarrassed to Be Seen With.” I guess that Cammenga’s M1950 jewel just barely missed the list! Bummer.

Just about everything is made in China.
      I'm surprised I wasn't made in China.

What about the Francis Barker M73? And the Kammenga?

@joseluisgaillard814: I have both....the FB M73 is considered by most people to be the best in the world. The Cammenga is good but its a "dry" compass so the needle takes a long time to settle.

Almost all of the shown models are knock-off versions of the original "Wilkie"-compass nowadays made by the German manufacturer "Kasper & Richter". I'd rather get the original than any of these. Luckily, I already have one. And what about Cammenga? Should definitely be on the list. As well as Silva, Brunton and Suunto.

@robertwilliamson922: Everything is made in China these days, that's why China is known as the "world's factory".
