I finally took a trip to NYC to visit Vital Brooklyn and see what all the fuss is about. We all know that the rooftop is sick, but how are the climbs?

Oh WOW that rooftop bouldering area is 😍😍😍 We gotta checkout this gym if we ever go to NYC! Really enjoy these types of videos; helps us figure out where to go if we ever travel down to the States! We have made it a necessity to pack a pair of climbing shoes and a chalk bag whenever we travel now 😂

These gym visit / review videos are always great but man this one was extra special. I’m surprised no one in the comments has mentioned how great of send partner Kuno was. His technique is excellent for climbing less than a year and just seemed like exactly the kind of person you’d want to spend a session at the gym with. I thought the gym looked amazing and Kuno really took the experience to the next level.
I really lucked out with Kuno! He was all class and so humble! He's an honorary Sunday Sends Crew member for life!

Wouldn't mind you touring the US or Europe and visiting some of the best climbing gyms. Your quality footage in a gym like Innsbruck would be lit :D

He use to be at Vital Oceanside and moved to Brooklyn. When my college grad daughter and I were there in June, the arch was being reset. I actually visited all Vital gyms in 4 months. Yeah totally! I cut out some voiceover where I listed a bunch of other gyms that had sport climbing, so that part of the edit ended up sounding kind of funny. I checked it out GP81 and really enjoyed it!

Are you in the city for a while? Vital is having an outdoor comp 12/15 in the evening which seems like it would be fun. Another gym I would recommend checking out is The Cliffs in Gowanus (Brooklyn). It has a similar feel to Vital and also a really well done gym! Hope you enjoy your stay in the city :)

What material is the flooring on the roof?
They're rubber chips that you find on playgrounds and stuff. I imagine they're good for drainage.
