I have a defy wich occasionally goes on gravel sections and rather than change the stem I opted for a defuse handlebar which offers a small but of flex in one direction. I bought these on ebay and they have been on the bike now for the last 2 years. Not a cheap upgrade if bought new but smooths out the c road buzz and the odd gravel section. Comfort is everything. So I ride with 30mm tyres tubeless with about 60 psi.
neft16 thanks 👍🏻 Hopefully ill get the review in on the seatpost shortly. It’s a Pro Discover post (seen briefly in the previous vid I did). Very pleasing so far!
I came for your review of the pro discover handlebars and was happy to learn in this review you also ride a Bokeh. Would you say the Pro Discover handlebars could be a good fit for the Bokeh? Mine came with the Deda Gravel 100 stock bars which seem to have a too long reach for me in my current setup (XL frame, 90mm stem).
Yes, excellent bars...BUT. Because they are internally routed, I find if you have a 2x system, it doesn't like being squeezed and aggressively turned around tight angles in the handlebars. I would only get internal routed carbon bars if I was 1x or electric groupset.
Just bought the stem and seatpost and installed it 2 days ago but been raining lately, haven’t fully tested it yet. So need around 50 miles (80km) to break in?
Over 6 minutes trying to talk about stem! Try and stay awake, please like and subscribe!
I've got one coming for my Giant Defy. Hopefully, it will smooth out the crappy roads where I live.
Did you get one?
I’ll take the bit of extra weight over the muscle fatigue 😊😊
