Those tires looks meaty! you said you were going to lower the car is it not lowered in the video?
Yes it is, In this video it was sitting on Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs and wrapped in some 235/45/r18 tires. I have recently switched to BC Racing coilovers

@@youtubejunkie8053 Nope, just have to dial in the suspension. When I was on lowering springs I would rub on really big bumps.

Yes they do work except for the coilovers, the 1.8t have a 50mm strut unlike the gti with a 55mm strut. But besides everything should fit like normal
What is the wheels name? Against 17 18 19 biggest wheels it looks so good

@@HaydenCroix Awesome! I'm in Mooresville. I never paid too much attention to VWs before i met my wife. She just had a 2008 Jetta 2.5 Wolfsberg. She got into an accident so I wanted to bet her something familiar even though i was still not a VW fan as I've alwayz had Japanese cars, S2k, Integra GSR, and a G35 coupe, etc. We got her a 2010 Jetta 2.5. Then I needed a new car so I got her 2010 and bought her a 2013 Jetta SE 2.5 and i started to realize I wzs liking VWs more and more. Now i want a Mk7 Golf R or a Mk7 GTI. Needless to say, I'm a big fan now. 🤣

@@raginasian4720 This my first VW/ GTI and it's by far my favorite car! I've owned hondas's, toyotas's, Ford's, and now my GTI and it by far takes the cake! And I may be driving out to the next C&C Mooresville, I've heard it is a great show!

Car looks great, but those tail lights are illegal as hell lol. I got burnt once before doing that.

Your rotation on the tires are wrong. That shit´s dangerous when it rains. Just put them on the other side of the car so it rolls the correct way for best water drainage to avoid hydroplaining. Otherwise sweet looking car!! :D
Luckily I no longer am running those tires but you are absolutely correct, in the rain it was sketchy af.

Yes, I am not a fan of the low profile tires. I find tires with more sidewall are much more comfortable as well as I get mor grip. I about to be switching out the front tires for some 265/35/r18’s.
What was wrong with the front lip you had in this video? Aggressive.
Nothing was wrong with it per say. It was just more so that I ran it just to make sure I wasn't too low before spending the money on a carbon fiber one. If you are low or have bad roads around and hit your lip often then I recommend sticking with these ebay lips.

You said you weren’t sure why VW went for the “sporty look and soft look”. They made it the way they did so that it looks more classy. Your gti looks very “ricy” now. You may love it which is all that counts, but to the majority VW owners, it looks like a civic now.
To each their own, I have received tons of support from the vw community. You just so happen to be one of the few that feels that way. I know not everyone loves the exposed carbon fiber look but it is functional and weight savings. Thanks for watching though, good luck with your modding process!
