  • Removal and install of a dirty intake boost and temperature sensor on Volvo D13 engine. I had a clean old unit that was still good. The one I removed had a erratic data.

    One more here 🖐 Broke mine and fell inside the intake too 😂😅 i started the engine and I clear could hear the valves eating it at the beginning. The plastic is so fragile that it does not cause damage to the valves. or I was lucky and my valves eats it without problem. Good luck 👍

    After watching this video, I went out to my d13 and pulled this sensor off. Yours looked brand new compared to what mine looks like. Didn't have any see-through ports at all. Time to pull out a can of carb cleaner and see if I notice any changes. Thanks for the video!

      @@canersekmen I had to go back a watch the video again. Yep, I definitely recommend cleaning the IMAP sensor on the intake manifold. What I noticed was a slight increase in fuel economy and seemingly smoother idling of my engine. Not sure if the idling is connected to this or not, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Its been a couple years and truck is still doing just fine.

    Thank you for this video! Getting a code that intake temperature was too hot so fan would not shut off, with this video I was able to find it and clean it and solve problems and safe trip to stupid dealership! Amazing how simple some of these fixtures are that we end up at the dealer for! Thank you and thank the Internet!

      Marc B be sure to check all the air intake clamps. Over time they get weak or the shops don't tighten them.

    Can of carb cleaner is way cheaper lol to each his own, but you should also check your egr, 7th injector and doser valve as they can also build carbon not allowing enough heat for regen and throw ghost codes. Also the otr performance tool is kinda pricey but worth it in this crooked world

    • @nj8pruts
      @nj8pruts  4 года назад +1

      I agree with just cleaning it. Where i work i get a killer break on parts. That new sensor cost 35 so why nOt replace. Also new egr and egr cooler. Thx

      Speed sensor or injector cups. Look for air bubble in fuel return lines inside fuel tank while on high idle.

      When I lost my speed sensor it derated my turbo to 1/4 boost and limited my rpm’s to 1400 Of coarse I had no speedometer either.

      Never got a fault code. Just had weird boost readings. Also check all charge air tubes while running with soap and water and see if you have boost leak

    • @nj8pruts
      @nj8pruts  6 лет назад

      diyou s then your intake is carboned up really bad. The intake tube that the sensor was in needs to be removed and cleaned. Fallow the bolts around it and make sure you have a gasket or some sealant. And lots of cleaner.

    • @nj8pruts
      @nj8pruts  6 лет назад

      @guilhermepetrarcha 3 месяца назад

      The same here 😂 i started the engine and fuck it. Make some noises at the beginning, probably from the valves destroying the piece of plastic. But engine still running strong 💪 looks like the plastic is so fragile than yours valves can destroy it without causing any demage at the valves.
