Sonoma County - Islands in the Sky Hike

The Trail name is intriguing. Hike uphill through a dense second growth forest. Giant redwoods tower above hikers. Grass which waves in the winds stretches across the ridge. Tree covered hills rise like islands above this sea of grass. Beautiful vistas unfold of the surrounding mountains & the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Hikers discover a splendid, picturesque landscape on the Islands in the Sky Vista Loop.
