Great video bud, thanks 👍🏼 The shut off float valve when the tank is full is great but what about if the tank is empty? I’ve heard of people putting in cut off switches that will stop your motor if the tank gets empty but that sounds unnecessarily difficult to me. I was thinking of putting in some kind of alarm. So if the water level gets to a certain point a horn blast or something like that, letting you know. Providing you accurately measure the waterflow at the customers property (not at the tap, but at the end of the hose that plugs into your machine as these numbers can be drastically different) then I guess she can be confident in your system. But if you’re up on the roof or doing whatever you do with your pressure washer, and say for example the tap fitting pops off, you would have no idea until your pump runs dry. It has happened to me before and it’s not a good feeling at all racing down a double story ladder while your pump is dry heaving. Does anybody have an easy and cheap solution for this problem? Thanks :)
Loved this one mate. Kept it simple and straight forward, very clear for me who am a 100% beginner into this. One question though, where does your Bleach go? Do you have a tank for it?
Do you need a bypass that goes from the pressure washer back into the buffer tank. Was reading if you take your finger off the trigger and leave the pump running it can mess the pressure washer up. Is it worth installing a bypass ?
I think it's mainly for heat management to prevent the pump overheating. I had a bypass installed on that machine after this video. I'm not sure what happens inside the pump when there's no bypass, I'd like to talk to a professional
@@SMOUT_ I read its just better for the pump, because its always getting freshly cycled water helping it stay cool, guessing it just increases the life span of the pump. how long did your pump last without a bypass?
probably a daft question, but when ordering the tank do you need the undrilled or outlet options, also is the stopcock already inside the tank as there's an option to add a brass float valve thank you
Hoping for a reply. This just gravity fed then? Does the flow exit rate from the buffer tank exceed the GPM of the pressure washer, or does the pressure washer create vacuum to suck it out, thereby creating sufficient flow? Thank you! Working on setting one up myself, but my flow rate out of the tank is lower than the GPM rating of the pressure washer and I don't want to burn it up.
Most pressure washers will suck yeah. A better measure of flow would be at the end of the high pressure hose with no nozzle on. Then you'll see a huge increase over what comes out of the bottom of the tank alone.
@@SMOUT_ Thank you very much. That believe that makes sense. Just to be clear though, if my buffer tank...open valve, nothing hooked up to it besides the feed hose.... flows say 2gpm, do you think I could hook a 4gpm pressure washer to it? My tank is 300 gallons and flows out a standard size garden hose. I'm just surprised the flow rate isn't higher....300gallons should be a lot of gravity pressure. Thank you again. I do appreciate it.👍👍
Is the tank and your jetwasher bolted in your van,. I'm worried if I leave this in my van when I start my own business that the van will be broken into
Depends on the water pressure as the pressure washer would most probably use more water than the outside tap could produce so you would need to part fill the tank before starting
These videos are great for me starting my new Business.keep them coming like this
Great video bud, thanks 👍🏼

Hi mate where did you get the tank from please
what are the connectors from the tank to the pressure washer? or can you link them?

Hi mate. What's the fitting on the bottom of the tank
Hi mate do you have a link to the suction hose which connects straight to the ball valve to the pressure washer inlet
For the incoming water feed, did the tank come pre drilled and all the fitting already attached?
No I drilled the hole at the top for the hose connector.
The one at the bottom was already drilled with a half inch thread I think 👍
Another good en to add.. Stacking them now mate ✌️💙

Did you manage to work out whether to get un drilled or outlets ??

Yes you got it. Give it a try
Is that a kiam jetwash? If so how's reliable is it?

Where did you get the hose and the brass connectors to attach to your machine and water supply? I can’t find anywhere
It's a suction hose which came with the machine. It's specifically reinforced so it doesn't collapse.
cam you send a link of the pipe that goes from the tank to the pressure washer
It came with the pressure washer mate. Just a 3/4" suction hose I think. Wire reinforced to stop it collapsing
@@SMOUT_ alright sweet mate thanks
Hi mate I have a ibc on the van but the outlet is a normal hose attachment do you know what I would need for the outlet like yours thanks James
What if you run out of water? Does the machine shut off?
It doesnt mate, as soon as it runs out i turn the machine off and wait for it to refill
But whats the problem with just being connected to clients water and use that for your job, do we need a tank?? Im just trying to understand

gret video mate , what size tank is that?
Thanks. 250L
Thanks mate , I’ve subscribed
Hi mate what lpm is your machine and what area are you could do with picking your brains
My first one was 11lpm, and my current one is 15 🙂
What size tank should I get for a 5gpm machine if im still going to be hooked up to the customers water?
100 gal
I have 60m of 19mm water hose on a reel.. it's great..
What reel do you have. Please get back to me
A cheap one that's rusting
Is it 19mm internal or external please
Where did you buy that big tank if i may ask?
I think the websites called tanks direct
@@SMOUT_ Ok cant find it on their website.. but i will send them a mail. Thank you.
Just realised the link is actually at the bottom of my description 👍
@@SMOUT_ The tank in the link is not the same tank🤔 its a different tank. Maybe they stopped selling it!?
Hmmm looks the same to me. 250L upright tank...
Just pull the lance trigger when starting.. of better still fit a frost valve.
Great video mate, where did you get the fittings for the tank plumbing from ?
Just hardware / plumbers merchants mate 🙂
Hi smout I love you’re videos you really inspired me to open a pressure washing business. I’ve got a few question is it possible I could email you?
Join the livestreams at 7:30pm Monday nights and we'll chat 👍
How do I join the livestreams ? Is there a link ?
