I brush my Crockett and Jones rough out suede Coniston boots with a boar brush, prefer it to using a conventional Suede brush, removes the dirt while retaining the patina. An ex C and J factory worker gave me that tip.

Love the boar bristle brush around the welt, etc…. I really like hitting my shell cordovan with the boar bristle first, I buff the snot out of the shoe, then switch to the horse hair and buff, bufff, bufff…. Lol
