These are very nice. I've not done snippet rolls, but I have done lots of fabric clusters, which I think you end up with when you cut these up. I enjoyed making the clusters very much.
Wow love your pink one. So gorgeous. Never made one my self love seeing the way you did it. Please don't apologize for the way or what you do. There is no perfect craft.and we love you for being so real ❤. Stay safe and can't wait to see what you make with them.
Just watched this video. I loved it!!! I craft along with you even if I am doing a totally different project. I just love listening to you and your love for family. Don’t ever think that you are boring or talking to long. If your videos were even longer that would be fine with me!!! Love your talent and creations
Must admit Tina I too had never made a fabric snippet roll and like you it was because I thought it was too hard but hey we live and learn. Thanks for the encouragement to go where I’d never been before. It was fun and even though I didn’t like what I was doing I finished it, added some lace and hey presto it’s gorgeous. Sooooo happy I made it. Thanks Tina.😁💖
This popped up on autopilot...I did one from this couple weeks back. Wow I just bought that Exact fabric yesterday plus 2 others... at a ridiculous low price... and a haul of ribbons for 0.10 cents in our favorite colors... and some new finds.. lifted my spirirts.. Now watching at 45:00 the pink the whole screen shot I have... Wow that's trippy, lol and not planned... swear... lol going to have a little play xx~J
I love how you ensured contrast by adding the fabric further down the roll. I’ll do that when I have a bigger piece. If I don’t add it when I first pick it up, I’m afraid it’ll end up back in the scraps!
I’ve never made a fabric snippet roll....have done the paper, but the fabric one intimates me! I think I will give it a try this weekend! Thank you!!! You always inspire me!!❤️
I'm excited to watch this video! I was hoping you would show us your take on fabric snippet rolls! I have made lots of paper ones but never fabric. Hopefully this will give me a little nudge!
If you like the color of the fabric but it is too dark, you can always use the back side. The backside is almost lighter. I have done this many times in my quiltmaking. Love these fabric snippet rolls!
This looks Amazing! I want to do one. Your enthusiasm for these are infectious! I had to sell my Sewing Machine a Beautiful Expensive Brother Embroidary also. But now I am thinking of getting a $20 one that does 12 stitches lol I'l let You know how it workds out ? Thank You for bring Joy back into my Life fater my Husband passed . Your a Keeper lol Lisa
I am so thrilled to be able to bring a little cheer to you following your loss. A cheap sewing machine sounds ideal, we don’t really need all those fancy stitches x
So sorry for your loss...but so so happy you found joy again...I too am a freaking widow...almost 13 years...and JUNK JOURNALING is now my new joy in life...blessings and have lots of fun make your journals!🤗❤️🙏🏻
Stunning Tina! I've heard other artists A only put the glue in the center of the snippet roll so when you so you can so around the edges and it won't interfere with your machine. I've never made a snippet roll but I just thought this might help you. 🦋💚🌻💜🐞
I was curious so I checked the date of the earliest roll and there is an exquisite one by an embroiderer 6 years ago. The papercrafters took over and made it their own. So it depends what you want. I’m a stitcher as well so I know I want to do both paper and fabric ones as I have mountains of fabric. 😊
I finished watching “Dead to Me” last night, Oh My Goodness, it was soooo good, thanks for the suggestion.....they do like that one word, don’t they, lol, lol......I hope there is a season 3. Love your snippet roll.
Two Doves I have a video showing different ideas on what to use them for. Super fun! You can use them as belly bands and pockets in junk journals, add bits of memorabilia as a memory keepsake, decorate the outside of a journal, and so much more! You can make and swap them with others! 💚
I’ve yet to make a snippet anything. It would have to be paper as I don’t have much fabric, but either way they do intimidate me a wee bit. You have the most interesting way of moving your thumb under while you squeeze into the glue bottle. Never seen anyone do that, is that a family trait (is that the correct word? runs in the family I mean)?
Ive watched this for the first time today. I truly enjoyed watching you make these but I can't see what else to do with them? What are they used for? Serious question. Anyone can answer.
Thank you. You can use these on covers of junk journals, as pockets, and even as closures, lot's of other uses too, but these are the first few that spring to mind x
They can be used in a variety of ways, you could use them as a closure for a journal by chopping it to the right length and adding a broach or some Velcro or a popper, or you could cut it into individual pieces and use as paperclips, little clusters, or even make little tuck spots etc from the pieces you cut. Anything you fancy really xx
I've seen some pretty ones. Amy Love and Kateri have made some beautiful lacey ones, and I've seen some paper ones. Speaking of who done it first lol, who was the first person here on yt that came up with making pockets out of book pages? I thought it was Patricia V, but I'm not sure
Yes, some gorgeous snippet rolls for sure, I loved Chrissie Crosser’s one recently, it was fantastic. Yes, I think it was Patricia who came up with the book page pockets, she is a genius x
Since I have never made one myself, I am hardly in a position to offer a suggestion, but in order to make it more “nonthinking” how about just choosing the fabrics you want to use and tearing them into random pieces first? Then you could just grab one and put it down without having to consider how to tear it first. This will give you a first layer rather quickly, then you can fill in where you need to. I have seen others move randomly on the base piece instead of just starting at one end. This will lessen the chance of everything overlapping in the same direction.
Thanks, Tina, I crafted along with you and truly enjoyed our time together ... BTW, you are NOT rubbish at anything!!!
These are very nice. I've not done snippet rolls, but I have done lots of fabric clusters, which I think you end up with when you cut these up. I enjoyed making the clusters very much.
Great idea June to cut these up into clusters x

I love these. I will most surely give them a try. I thought I could try free motion quilting to stabilize the roll. Thank you for sharing.
Free motion is a great idea!
The snippet rolls are truly delightful. Love both of them. Pretty and playful and will be fun to use or just display.

Cute snippets! If you want to coffee or tea dye the snippet that should work just fine. I would just lay it out flat.
Very pretty!
Absolutely love your fabric snippet rolls, and I crafted along with you, Tina.
Going to the sewing machine! 😀
Thanks for the fun!
Wendy
Tina those came out so pretty - they can be used in so many ways TFS xx

So much fun! They turned out wonderfully Tina! Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
I am even later to the party, only discovered these yesterday when watching a craft box unboxing video and there were a couple of these in the box :D
I'm excited to watch this video! I was hoping you would show us your take on fabric snippet rolls! I have made lots of paper ones but never fabric. Hopefully this will give me a little nudge!

Thank you for the tip, I will try and remember that 🤗😊🙃 x
I finally made some of these with paper strips and pieces of fabric and paper pieces. In still need the sew them. I also have tags to sew. ❤
laura vasquez do you post them anywhere to get a peak? I would love to make a paper one and one on a spool with lace and stuff.
Laura, mine are so super simple compared to the one on my journal that you gifted me, I could never make anything like that. X
Sandra, sadly Laura doesn’t have a social media platform x
Shabbydabbydoodah come to think of it your right lol

Hope you do a mass make video of fabric snippet roll.. maybe thinner snippet rolls.
How wonderful!!! This is new to me! I’ve done paper ones...are they used as decorations and belly bands??? Must make some!!!💖ty
Thank you so much . They can be used however you fancy, I have used part of one of these as a closure x
It's beautiful but where would you use the snippet roll
WONDERFUL VIDEO-TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
Hey I'm a big fan from you and I think the snippet roll is very nice but what did you do with this? Thx Stephanie
I would like to know too....
Beautiful, especially the second one - but now what do you do with them?

@@TwistedArtdesigns Thank you. I did look for a part 2 but didn't see one. Will look again.

Great suggestions Jean, and funnily enough I have made a couple more doing them more like that x
Sew cute...❤
No me gusto. Lo siento he visto otras mejor hechas y bonitas.
