    I have a 2011 Impala. For years, on occasion when making a hard left from a stop, the Anti-lock will kick in for a second, even on a dry road. It never threw a code or warning. Lately though, it throws the triple warning (Stabiltrak, Brake Assist, and Traction control). The warnings go away upon a restart. Until it happens again, sometimes days/weeks later, and only on left turns. I'm sure I need this service done. Thanks for showing.

    Great video! I was wondering couldn't you just have soldered the broken wire back together instead of purchasing a new harness?

    • @jeremyb4493
      @jeremyb4493 3 года назад +1

      Not a good idea because if the wire is already damaged/broken in 1 place, it could easily be fatigued, corroded or already broken in other places. Plus the repair/splice kits aren't expensive and no one likes wasting more time and money having to fix the same issue more than once.

    • @cdarnau
      @cdarnau  3 года назад

      You could. But it normally breaks in the loop so if you were going to do replace it I would replace about 6in of the wire and solder it in.

      Well the parts are $30 a piece. If you have the tools already and you’re going to do the job yourself. $70 including a roll of tape and parts. If you’re going to let someone fix it. Depends on the labor rate and what they charge for parts. But it will be a 2 hour repair job at a shop + parts. So if the labor rate is 150 and they mark up the parts 100% you would be looking at $440 plus tax.
