Finally someone else realized that the staircase is nonsensical, i felt so alone for many years 😢
@@PaulWinklenope that’s a common genX trend, every tall building has stairs exactly like that.
@@Struzzylive Cant even imagine how such stairs would work, going up and down, 2 different directions within one staircase, where you can jump from one to another?
Hi, just thought you should know, Griff has Cybernetic implants, Thats why he talks like that, Doc mentions it in the alley

To effectively put Michael J Fox or Tom Wilson (Biff) on screen with older or younger versions of their characters (or in Michael's case, his kids too), production for Back to the Future II pioneered new filming tech, which became known as the VistaGlide camera, which allows them to program shots and lock off the camera with a high level of precision, that would ensure that each take, namely with an actor play a different part, would seamlessly match and allow them to splice and overlay them together. Prior to that, split screens were often hit and miss, where you could usually see the split on the screen.
I kinda miss you telling us to stay hydrated and not get arrested.
Yeah , I've had to be bailed out four times already since she stopped saying it! Bad Emme!
you're on your own kid o7 make good choices
They included the last part of the previous movie for proper continuity as Claudia Wells, the original actress for Jennifer, chose to step down to be with her ailing mother. So Elizabeth Shue, known these days from The Boys, took over.
And that rejuvination scene bit from Doc removing that skin layer was actually deliberate; makeup was applied to Christopher Lloyd in the last film for the 1985 scenes to of course make him look older, but took a lot of time to do. So they just made up an excuse to not make him look older and not waste time with the makeup by making up that scene.
oh that's so interesting i didn't know that!
Shue
Adventures in Babysitting, Karate Kid, Cobra Kai
It bears mentioning that Zemeckis, et al. specifically did NOT set out to create a plausible 2015. Since that year was going to arrive well within the lifetimes of the film's audience, they deliberately went over the top to create a "future" so fun and outrageous that it couldn't possibly be mistaken for a serious attempt to predict what would actually come to pass.
As for the Cafe 80s, it references very specifically 80s pop weirdnesses that didn't stand the test of.....well, time. The stuttering Michael Jackson and Ronald Reagan on the cafe's ordering screens were a callback to a brief and particularly strange phenomenon known as Max Headroom - a glitchy, ostensibly computer-generated television host.
Played by Matt Frewer.
Given the effort to create an outlandish future, it is actually more interesting what they got right.
@@Slugbug That IS interesting, isn't it?
I've watched this so many times and never noticed his two ties here at 17:44 until you mentioned it lol.
Elisabeth Shue most definitely aged well better than they predicted she would. Lea Thompson on the other hand they had pretty on point (alternate "sexy" version of her at the end of part 1 at least)
19:56 How did Doc didn’t notice the Time Last Departed readout display?
Nobody wants to tear down the clock tower. When people in 1985 and 2015 are raising money to "save" it, they mean they want to repair the lightning damage from 1955 so that it actually tells the time again. The joke is that in 2015 they still haven't raised enough to fix it after at least 30+ years of raising money for it.
The lady raising money in 1985 was doing so to preserve the clock tower just the way it was (not working).
The little boy playing the video game in the Cafe' 80's is Elijah Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
And that's also exactly how old i was when this came out
“Bought the farm” is an expression that means “died”… so when Doc said he almost bought the farm, it means he almost died.
i mean, duh!
But the actual origin of the phrase is what's interesting. It has multiple sources, here is one from google:
It comes from the 20th century military forces as slang soldiers would refer to a person who has died or been killed in action. The specific mention of a farm is referring to if a jet crashes on a farmers land, the farmer can sue for compensation. Hence the pilot essentially 'bought the farm'.
Yes, he almost bit the dust, bought a one-way ticket, kicked the bucket, took a dirt nap, started pushing up daisies, went the way of all flesh, began resting in peace, shuffled off this mortal coil and was no more.
@@j.diamond6014 I heard something similar- when a service member was killed in action, the insurance the military had on him would help his family pay off the mortgage. In the early 20th century, there were a lot more family farms than there are now. Therefore, a soldier, by dying, would have "bought the farm".
Old military life insurance sent to your family if you were KIA. Hence, buying the farm from the bank, paying off the loan.
Such a good phrase
You did not notice Michael J Fox as Marty's daughter 😂
I never noticed it until reactors started pointing it out
I never noticed this as a kid either
@@Arthur_King_of_the_Britons how? it's so extremely obvious that it's him in a wig, lol. Like, they didnt even try to hide it, probably for comedic effect, and yet people still dont recognise him?? I dont understand how that is even possible
Got another surprise, fox is also the save the clock tower guy
@@Struzzylive nope wrong.... that is the mechanic who fixed biffs car in 1955.
The writers knew that, whenever movies try to depict the future they always get stuff wrong and often end up feeling almost immediately dated. So, when they started work on Back to the Future 2, they decided to lean into that by instead intentionally depicting a version of the future that was more a satirical look at how Sci-Fi usually depicts the future; knowing full well that they weren't going to get probably anything right.
Ironically, the movie almost accurately predicting that the Cubs would win the World Series, being one year off; with them winning in 2016 - something they hadn't done since 1908.
They also predicted Donald Trump , who Biff is based off, correctly. If we had gotten a glimpse into alternate 2015, he probably would have been resident or something.
@@Timelord79 Trump didn't become President until 2017 (2016 election, sworn in January 2017), so - since this is 2015 - Biff could still become President in the same year as Trump's first term.
I wanna mention that "screw it" attitude toward the future to all reactors who watch this, because ALL of them, SERIOUSLY ALL say the same thing. "This is what they thought 2015 would look like?"
NO!
They also predicted that Miami would have a MLB team, which was the whole joke there. They were created in 1993, four years after this movie, and were the Florida Marlins until 2012 when they became the Miami Marlins.
I still remember October 21st 2015. There were three groups of people in my town. Those who dressed like they were from the future, those who dressed like they were from the 80's and those who had no idea what we were doing. 🤣
It is funny in hindsight seeing what they actually got right; renewable energy cars, computerized self-services, 3-D movies in a sense (RIP Jaws 19 though haha)
In germany, on October 21st 2015, the biggest public TV news station "Tagesschau" did broadcast a full news brakedown, with all the headlines, that been referenced in this movie. "A flying car trafficjam, seaweed price exploding, Princess Diana etc. was really funny and unexpected.
25:00 - The clue to how Marty could still exist was dropped into that Biff promotional video when it says he married his "high school sweetheart, Lorraine Baines McFly".
When reactors talk over so much of the dialog in this movie, they miss most of the plot of the movie -- and of course all the setups for the next one in the trilogy. I get that they need to react, but BTTF is one of the few movies where everything is shown and scripted for a reason and if you you even blink you'll miss something. One of the reasons why it's watchable so many times.
I still think some of the future stuff is pretty spot on! Obv the use of technology, like facetime calls, flat screen TVs, Martys kids on their devices during dinner etc. And then there's Jaws 19 which exactly like the endless sequels that come out now, plus the nostalgia for the 80s! So they got a lot of things right!
A couple years back, I saw someone on the news using a drone to walk their dog.
16:53 - "Oh, wow. A self walking dog leash. That's . . . that's actually probably the weirdest thing so far."
Maybe for 2015, but I'm surprised I haven't seen a drone walking a dog yet.
Cause ai is still stupid. Even fir sef driving cat
Hello Emme!😊 There is a lot to talk about here. The TV waiter characters in The Cafe 80s are based on a popular 80s character called "Max Headroom". When Marty is playing the game in the cafe one of the kids beside the machine is a young Elijah Wood. The actor that played George (Crispen Glover) does not appear in this film. Do to a salary disagreement he did not reprise his role. They used footage from the first film and another actor to act as his double. When he is hanging upside down, that is another actor in heavy makeup. Glover sued the picture for using his likeness, and settled out of court. Marty's daughter in 2015 is played by Michael J. Fox. "Bought the farm" is slang for "Die in an accident". It was a popular saying for many years that originated from 20th century military forces. Great reactions to your 2nd Back to the Future film, Emme!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Looking forward to your reactions for Part III!😊
12:00 Nobody died, but the stuntwoman was seriously injured, requiring reconstructive surgery - you can see her bouncing off the pillar just before she crashes through the window.
The franchise did not have a good safety record for stunts.
@@ebashford5334 none did in the 80 and 90, in t2 the guy jumping from the truck broke his back, in the abyss there an infinite list of life threatening events
😂 You might not even realized, they have switched the actress for Jennifer (vs. Part I) ... they did re-do some of the beginning scenes in this Part II❕
Story wise, a lot goes on in Part II ... even some story lines in Part II will finally get addressed in Part III. 😉
When she mentioned *Karate Kid,* I thought she was going to comment on the new Jennifer.
@@jowbloe3673 MJF as the 2015 daughter ... the make-up was too good, too 😁 for her or some viewers to even recognize that she was played by MJF ! 😅
The phrase "bought the farm" literally means to die. In the old days when the U.S. was a mostly rural/agricultural country a lot of people would only be able to pay off their farm was with their life insurance when they died. So when they would say he "bought the farm" it meant he'd passed away.
The "future" of 2015 is not what the producers imagined the future to be like. They just tossed in a bunch of tropes about the future to make it FEEL like the future. They knew perfectly well that a realistic prediction about the future would make for a boring time travel movie.
The tech was lost in a big explosion at Cyberdyne Systems, setting development back decades.
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 ENCOM having their entire software library hacked and effectively wiped didn't help either.
The individual components of CPR (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and chest compressions) would have been known to *some* (not all) medical professionals in 1955, but the two hadn't been put together and widely promoted under a shared name yet.
The reason the character Griff had a weird/cartoon type voice was because he had a lot of bionic body parts which was mentioned by the Doc.
A lot of "this doesn't make any sense" or trying to poke holes even when things actually make plenty of sense, which is a shame! Makes for a less enjoyable reaction than this could have been.
For instance quickly jumping to the conclusion about Marty being Biff's son thus some kind of writing error.
Or "Biff is stupid not deaf" because he doesn't hear Marty in the car (Those old cars are really loud, plus he has the radio blasting PLUS marty talks in almost a whisper - the audio mix you hear as a viewer is NOT the sound mix Biff hears, a lot of reactors don't seem to understand that. It's basically the sound mix of a mic'ed Marty, so that we the audience can hear what he's saying).
"Why didn't Biff just tell his younger self Marty and doc's names", well you acknowledged that Biff is not the brightest, so why would he do it if that was a smart move?
That said, it wouldn't even have been smart, as young Biff almost certainly wouldn't have been able to remember specific names 30 years into the future.
EMME we do NOT have HOVER BOARDS they DONT HOVER they have WHEELS ON GROUND they are just skate boards
Most people don't get the reference of the people in the tv's taking orders. It was based off a TV movie turned short lived tv show called Max Headroom.
At 12:00, the cyberpunk girl stunt double really got injuried recording that scene. She hits the pillar, and then she did not fall on a smooth surface she fell onto the hard ground, She broke face bones and wrist.
Part 2 is nostalgic for me so my order of fav is *(213)* but most (NOT ALL) female reactors order is *(312)*
6:25 while there isn’t a Jaws 19. They kinda predicted the endless amount of sequels phrase of Hollywood. I think as much as a lot was done for a laugh. They actually predicted a lot of things correctly. Watching multiple shows at once. The wide spread use of voice controlled things. Possibly fingerprint Apple Pay sort of as you see old Biff pay for the cab with his thumb print. They did predict technology would become much more ingrained into our everyday lives just some of the gadgets are off. By the way the daughter is played by Michael J Fox who also plays Marty and his son and Marty of the future.
"Why'd they leave Jennifer in an alley but the dog got to stay in the car" 😂 yeah its so forced
You don’t know they changed the actress different Girl
Also i dont know if you ever noticed but MJF played his daughter
This still has me questioning the implications in universe, maybe she’s just a cis woman who looks and sounds somewhat like her dad, (which was probably the intention since Marty Junior is also played by MJF,) or she’s a trans woman.
I love watching older movies that are set in, or reference a future that's already happened for us- 1984, 2001, 2010, Back the the Future, Escape From New York, The Terminator, Rollerball, The Road Warrior, Blade Runner, etc.
While mouth-to-mouth resuscitation existed as early as the middle of the 19th century, the benefit of chest compressions wasn't widely known until the 1960s and the combination we now call CPR wasn't formally taught until 1962 and not taught to laypeople (people who aren't medical professionals) until 1966. I'm not sure when it was first called "CPR" but it _definitely_ wouldn't have been known by a high school student in 1955.
Boy, rich Biff does remind me of someone in the current year…
Youve never heard the term bought the farm?? it means to die
29:15 No easter eggs in Part I, because when they made the original Back to the Future, they had no plans of making any sequels. It wasn't until much later, after the movie was a success, the studio ordered Parts II and III.
The writers have even said, had they known there would have been a sequel, they never would have put Jennifer in the DeLorean at the end of Part I, as it created a story complication they didn't want to deal with; which is why she's promptly knocked out at the start of Part II.
"No easter eggs in part I" because it wouldn't make sense (in ADDITION to it of course being technically impossible for the reason you explained).
So even IF the movies, part I and II were made back to back, there would still have been no easter eggs in the first one, because the whole concept of BTTF is that we're seeing events AS they unfold in objective time. We're watching the timelines go from unaltered to altered in other words.
Lorraine and George married in 1958. They had three kids, Dave in 1963, Linda in 1966 and Marty in 1968. In the alternate 1985, George was killed in 1973, so yes, Marty did exsist... That same year, 1973, Biff forced the recently widowed Lorraine to marry him, because he had money and "promised" to take care of her and her kids. Biff is Marty's stepfather in that scene.
A completly unrealted side note... George's headstone said he died March 15, 1973...
...I was actually born one week after that! March 22, 1973! (Yes, I am an old GenXer... lol!!)
this was funnier when i first watch it back in 2015
49:26 - 49:27 When Back to the Future (1985) was released onto VHS, they added a tagline at the end of the film.
As the DeLorean was going into the future, and the screen went white, it dissolved into the words “To Be Continued…” as a way to let the fans know there was going to be a sequel.
When they were making the sequels back to back, they added the tagline “To be Concluded…” for Part 2 as a way to let fans know there is another part to the story. And because they did make the sequels back to back, they added a teaser to let everyone know you wouldn’t have to wait long. Part II was released November of 1989, Part III would be released May of 1990.
Great video, Emme! It's interesting to see how these movies are viewed today by someone like yourself, with people born after the 80s knowing in advance that it's a three-part odyssey and a beloved part of the popular culture and having the ability to sit down and watch all three back to back to back. As someone who saw all three in the theater when they came out and was all in on the mania back in the day, I'd like to talk about my experience, and the experience of the original fans - with no spoilers, I promise. It's important to note that in terms of marketing, production and release times, these movies were quite different than, say, the original Star Wars trilogy or The Lord of the Rings films. Star Wars came out once every three years, building into a pop culture juggernaut. The Lord of the Rings, already a beloved book series, was filmed as one and came out one film a year for three years and marketed as a blockbuster from the get-go. The Back to the Future trilogy, however, was a whole different thing and almost an accident. The first film came out the summer of 1985 and wasn't anticipated as a big movie. It had a modest budget ($19 million, compared to 1984's Ghostbusters' $25 million or 1983's Return of the Jedi's $32 million) and featured a couple of television stars. (Yes, Christopher Lloyd had been in films before, including 1984's Star Trek III, but he was more recognizable as Jim from Taxi.) Director Bob Zemeckis and composer Alan Silvestri had a hit the previous summer with Romancing the Stone, but that was a smallscale, personal film with big stars (Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, Danny DeVito) and wasn't a big happening in terms of story or music. So along comes Back to the Future, which was basically a comedy, and the last thing most of us expected was to be swept away with its big feel and John Williams-like score - and yet that's exactly what happened. Zemeckis caught lightning in a bottle (pardon the pun) with the perfect script, the perfect actors, and the perfect timing. It was loved by the people who were around in the 1950s, like my parents, because suddenly they were back there. It was loved by kids of the 1980s (like myself) because it was fun to imagine ourselves back in the time of our parents' youth (which we were always hearing about) while inventing skateboarding and rock 'n roll to show the kids from the past - especially the bullies - what fun really was! It became THE summer blockbuster of 1985, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd became big-time movie stars before our eyes, and this was all just as video cassettes were becoming affordable and Cable television (deregulated in 1984) was exploding, so in the following years, we were able to watch and rewatch it many times. (Keep in mind, this was a period where our viewing choices were limited, with no DVRs, Blu-ray collections, or streaming services, and far less platforms for content creation. Thus a beloved video cassette would be watched over and over again.) By the late 1980s, we had all gone on to assume Back to the Future was a standalone film (as originally intended) and would remain a beloved icon by itself. Then it was announced there would be not just one, but two sequels, and they would be filmed and released back to back. Part II would come out in late 1989, and Part III would come out in early 1990. That meant several things that are important to understand. First, whereas Part 1 was written and filmed as one thing (with all the sets destroyed afterward), Part 2 and Part 3 were written and filmed together, sharing some of the same sets, featuring the same actors (with a couple of new actors taking over parts from people who wouldn't return after Part 1) - and, most importantly, telling one big-picture story, more or less - with exposition in Part 2 that wouldn't be paid off until Part 3. (In other words, Part 1 is like the original Star Wars film in terms of being its own thing from a production and story standpoint, with all the sets struck down after filming, whereas Parts 2 and 3 follow The Lord of the Rings model, filmed as one thing, with even one of the scenes in Back to the Future Part 3 filmed during the production of Part 2.) So anyway, back to the fans' standpoint here: when we went to see Back to the Future Part 2, it was the complete opposite of going to see Part 1. This time we were going to see a blockbuster (with a $40 million budget) with big-time movie stars, and stepping into an area of turf which was a beloved part of pop culture, with everyone knowing all the jokes from the first film (most notably the manure) by heart. Then.... JUST a short time later... we went to see Part 3, and that was a unique experience in a way because Part 3 largely plays off of Part 2, but keep in mind, we didn't know Part 2 that well! We had just seen it, but we hadn't seen it over and over like Part 1. (In fact, there were some people in the theater who had seen Part 1 but hadn't seen Part 2.) So in a way, it wasn't until the films came out on video as a threepack that we were able to watch them over and over and appreciate the grand tapestry. And THAT's my story about what it was like being an original fan - though I also have to add I was one of the first on the Universal Back to the Future ride in Florida, and it was awesome! And I loved the BTTF cartoon. But I think I'll stop there. Thanks for indulging me!
The waiter at the 80's restaurant was actually two references. It was Jackson's face and voice, but the mannerisms were of the character 'Max Headroom'. Basically a shot in the dark guess about how an artificial intelligence based character would act.
Red hair Emme is kind of a vibe tho
There's a deleted scene after old Biff returns the time machine to 2015, where we actually see him fade out of existence, like Marty nearly did in the first movie. This is because, in the alternate timeline, Lorraine finally snapped and murdered Biff in 1993 after 20 years of his abuse, so by 2015 Biff actually no longer existed. For poetic justice, Lorraine also used the same gun Biff used to kill George!
26:00 Basically, it's a lack of unconditional self love and self worth. Such people constantly feel that they are worthless. They see world as hierarchy: from their point of view, people are essentially worthless. Or, if you think that you are meeting some stupid conditions - such as wealth - you think you are higher and better then "worthless" people who don't meet those conditions. So, they are getting some kind of fun out of that: that usually they are worthless, but now they are "higher".
This kind of fun is only possible in contrast with thinking that you are basically worthless and everybody are worthless too.
Those shoes are pretty much the only one of the ”future tech” seen in the movie that actually exist and was really sold for the public. The product is called Nike Mag, released for sale in 2011 and 2016, both limited quantities. Price: 10-15k$ for a pair.

Nike actually did make those sneakers about 10 years ago. All pairs were sold by auction. They were designed by the person who was creating Michael Jordan's sneakers at the time.
Great reaction! I hope someone warned you and you didn't watch the preview for 3 at the end. The original was my favorite movie when it came out. I was 13 and saw it so many times in the theater. Of course I started skateboarding, bought a Walkman, and started taking guitar lessons. I still play in a few bands 40 years later so these movies probably influenced my life more than anything else from my childhood. When this one came out I still really liked it but it just wasn't the same. I thought the future was silly and the alternate 1985 was ok, but I loved seeing the scenes from 1955 from different perspectives and since then I have always loved time travel stories and thinking about the practical ramifications.
My biggest issue with this movie was always them going into the future and seeing their old selves. I just don't think it could happen that way. As Doc explains in this movie you literally leave the timeline at the point you jump from and reappear later. When Einstein traveled one minute into the future in the first movie there wasn't two Einsteins there when he reappeared. If Doc had sent him one hour, one day, one month or one year into the future they would've just waited for him to reappear and there would not have been two Einstein's there. Marty can't jump into the future to see himself because he would've disappeared from the timeline in 1985 so there wouldn't have been an old him in 2015. But that's just me having fun thinking about the possibilities of time travel.
One other thing I never noticed until your reaction was Doc commenting on Marty using the word "heavy' in 1955. The problem is that the Doc that Marty says that to is from 1985. He would've totally know what "heavy" meant, I'm sure Marty said it to him all the time in 1985.
Anyway, thanks for reacting to these movies. Hope you enjoy #3!

Great reaction, but you might have a form of face blindness. Jennifer is a whole different actress, Elisabeth Shue. Funny because you immediately mentioned “The Karate Kid” film series. Also, Michael J Fox is playing the role of his own daughter. Most reviewers mention baby Elijah Wood in the Cafe 80s scene, but I’ll let that one slide. Oh, and Nike DID actually make those shoes in 2015.
While sequels/threequels can be a bit hit and miss, this is one of those rare "perfect trilogies" along with the Godfather trilogy. When October 12 2015 actually rolled around, "Back To The Future Day" was celebrated worldwide, and several companies recreated their "future props" from this movie including Pepsi Perfect, Nike Air Mag (which were auctioned and the proceeds donated to the Michael J Fox Foundation) and Universal made a trailer for Jaws 19!

Emme.... Absolutely have so much fun with your movie reactions!!! I miss your star wars reactions. Probably the best star wars reactions on RUclips
I love this sequel although it seems to have a reputation of being too confusing. I don’t feel it is and thought you did a great job of understanding stuff until the one point you said it was confusing. Except for that, good job. Most people like the next one better but I prefer this one, but the next one is fun. It’s cool seeing you go from a cute little girl to a young woman. The 3d glasses guy is Casey Siezmaszko and is in a couple of really fun movies I think you would enjoy. Three O’Clock High and Biloxi Blues. I don’t think you realized this was a different Jennifer because the original actresses mom was real sick and she needed to take care of her.
Hi Emme, another great reaction and thank you for reacting to The 'Back to the Future' trilogy, which is considered the best triology EVER, a trilogy where all 3 Parts are superb, brilliant, and a masterpiece in there own way, part 3 is a super ending to a super trilogy. Hope to see your reaction as soon as you possibly can ---- When Marty is in Biff's car & talking on the 'walky talky' Biff can't hear him as the car (a 1946 Ford) is so loud and with the radio is on, Biff even try's to adjust the radio as he thinks it's the radio making a noise, We can hear Marty & Doc so we know what's going on 🙂 ❤
2015 still owes my brother a real hoverboard. Also, the Cubs winning the World Series was off by a year.
As a fan of alternate history, something I have learned is that the further you get from the point of divergence, the more unpredictable history becomes based on what had previously happened. In regards to this film, Biff takes the almanac to his past self in 1955 and then first uses it in 1958. Who's to say in that new timeline events play out exactly the same way. Biff's changes could have effects ranging from different economic turnouts and presidential races to different team lineups. In short, Biff's effective use of the almanac is smaller. Had Marty kept the almanac and gone through with the plan, he's 17 in 1985, meaning he'd have to wait a few more years before he could legally gamble. The timeline would still change, but Marty could get more use out of the almanac.
12:57 Did anyone else spot the Midnight Cowboy reference? (I'm walking here, I'm walking here!)
Zemeckis seems to be quite a fan of that movie, he also referenced it in Forrest Gump when Lieutenant Dan said that line.
"Hey butthead!".. **sudden kitten appears making me jump** ... "Woah jump scare"
The most unrealistic thing about this movie is that Grandma Lorraine brings what amounts to one large pizza for two teens and three adults, four if you count Jennifer. That doesn't fly in ANY timeline.😂
19:54 women...you know mommies...like mommynewz or how emme said so soft here but in place mommy cause she not a mommy like goth which would be aggressive she just plain mommy. Like soft but to indicate goth like every weirdo saying mommy does probably Lovelaurenn.
So, since you didn't pick up on it, this was Elijah Wood's first feature film. He was one of the kids playing the Wild Gunman arcade machine in Cafe 80's.
So a couple of things 2015 got right.
Flying cars have been prototype tested since then, alexa, and cubs in fact did beat Miami. And thump plate locks.
You are a beautiful angel ❤️❤️❤️ I absolutely loved watching your reaction! I love your personality, you are perfect in every way possible.
This is a little off topic for this movie, in my defense I only found your channel recently. I've been watching your Marvel reactions and realized something. You've not reacted to one of the greatest hero moves of all time:
Mystery Men(1999)
Thank you back to the future for it's sequel and the common shocked and appalled doc rushing and dumping it for Jennifer as well but obviously realizes when she asks and Doc looks at her strange she shouldn't have come.
Guys, guys, guys!
She doesn't have facial blindness.
She just watched the first movie ages ago.
there's a theory that back the future takes place in a future AFTER marty went back to the 1950s and started skateboards early which let to an interest in accelerating vehicle tech rather then computer tech. So hoverboards and flying cards get developed
Dunno if you caught the little tip of the hat there from Doctor Who - when the western union guy brings the letter to Marty from past Doc - in the 'Blink' episode when Cathy's grandson brings Sally the letter.
Speaking of not knowing too much about one's future, I've stopped reading mt horoscope for basically that reason.
Back then movie sequels often went over the top in cartoonish acting. That's not my favorite of the trilogy by far. Too over the top and stressful for my taste. The first remains the best, followed by the third and then the second.
Leaving Jen out of the car is the stupidest thing and that's what creates the story, I don't find it to be the best story choice... So to me, that trilogy is not that good just because of that.
The self walking dog leach drone was actually a meme during covid lockdowns, lol.
I wander if anyone ever thought Docs falling and coming up the idea of the flux capacitor in 1955 was the focal point of the convergence the focal point of the space time continuum. Maybe the capacitor is in itself a easter egg. i mean look at the design a triangle symbolizing the universe with a line that represents the flow of time that splits into two different directions symbolizing the split between the distance and direction of the universe...Just thought it could also be a coincidence I suppose...lmao
30:19 "Huh? Wait, I don't think I've ever seen a staircase like this before." Those are called "scissor stairs" where two independent staircases share the same stairwell. They allow faster evacuation from high-occupancy locations (like convention centers), but are no longer considered two independent exits for the sake of satisfying fire safety codes.
Back to the future is in the untouchable category.
If they ever announce they would remake em, trust me, there would be riots and the fandom would go to great lengths to cancel it cause we all know Hollywood would completely destroy the story.
Emma I don’t know if you noticed but your microphone buzzes every time you speak. Not sure what’s up.
It would have been awesome as all heck if the real-world Cubs had won the World Series in 2015 instead of 2016. So close!
There is a deletes scene where when he comes back to 2015 Old Biff dissappear probably because in new timeline Lorraine killed him due to his abuse or the found out he killed George
I have my own theory as to why we didn't get the advanced technology such as the real hoverboards and flying cars by 2015 as depicted in the first half of Part II but I can't tell you it here because it will involve a spoiler to something in Part III so I will tell you that theory in the comments to your reaction to part III.
Griff "talks like that" because he has malfunctioning brain implants. Doc tells Marty that in the alley, and I've never seen a _single_ reactor catch that.
the michael jackson / reagen is also a reference to a weird 80s movie and show called "Max Headroom" about a person who get's his consciousness stored in a computer screen.
It would be nice to have a playbook for all the sports games from the 1960s and up to today and knowing who going to win and betting money on it and always wining decade after decade and that's what keeps you wealthy.
Agreed, unless the skateboard actually hovers, they should not be able to call it a "hoverboard". They should be called sideways motorized boards. They clearly do not hover.
I know a lot of people really like this movie, but in my ranking of the trilogy it falls in last place. I really look forward to the next reaction though. (No spoilers!)
Talk about the jumpscare when the kitty appeared like Marty hitting Marty.
When it comes to movie trilogies there are 2 you don't have to worry about. Back to the future is a good trilogy. The other being lord of the ring. I would love to see you react to lots of the rings if you haven't already.
You will love part 3,it wraps everything up perfectly.
21:45 I mean look how it is today. Up and downs. Definitely dark ages of the 30 year time jump on this movie.
When you said "I feel like they would die from that" (crashing through the windows) you're not far off. The stuntwoman in that group got VERY severely injured doing that. They changed the setup for it very last minute, and she complained that it didn't seem safe this way, but they did it anyway, and she was the one who got hurt the worst.
That stage fall that Christopher Lloyd does at the end -- I think he just invented Systema flopping
I'm going to take this opportunity to become dehydrated, leave my legs unstretched, and get arrested.
