Nah, stop simping
The reason why these tiny sets were so successful was that they contained very useful pieces. They were built around wheels and wings and rocket engines; all the stuff you needed to make other vehicles. So when I was little, I could play with lots and lots of single-seater units fighting against each other; or I could use the bricks to make one badass space ship with huge wings and several engines.
Imagine if that was your situation nowadays, the things people could do with those
These tiny sets were always my favorite when I was a kid. Mostly because they were all I could afford with my equally tiny allowance at the time. They let me slowly collect a growing set of parts to make bigger and bigger things with, instead of having to save up forever for a single large set. My impatient kid brain always appreciated that.

The older you get the more you appreciate smaller sets, I think. Its strongly nostalgic for sure
True, these days my wife's set is large but saggy so I look at smaller sets in nostalgia.
I love the 4th wall breaking in the “store” sets.
If you're including tiny minifigure scale lego sets in this, then I think an honourable mention should be to the Ninjago City Market, which has a Bionicle fan holding a minifigure statue meant to represent a Toa, complete with the canister packaging.
I love tiny one-man vehicle sets like the space buggies, space scooter, and go-karts.
This video is just an excuse for SpitBrix to talk about the old space sets
My son and I both get LEGO Advent calendars each year, you get 24 really cool tiny models in them.
I always love building smaller things it makes me feel like my collection is bigger and I can build an army of stormtroopers without going broke
Man, I get more nostalgic over the small lego system vehicles than anything
I was watching, and kept thinking, "oh I have that shirt!" And then, "Wow, I have that one too!" And also, "Weird. I also have that one..." Apparently I have a lot of old space and alien shirts in my LEGO collection!
Thanks to me being old and my parents not being rich, I have many of these early small space sets. Love them!
I don't know if this counts as a tiny set, but a couple of years ago there were Lego greeting cards that came with mini sets that were minifig scale. The was a car, and I believe a Ninjago dragon, both came with mini figs.
Exo-Force was lit. Shame it didn't last long.
Words cannot describe how great this channel is
I'm glad that you enjoy my videos :)
Space buggy was my first Lego set!
All those first sets you showed, in space, i have every single one... Those were the golden days, when space was indeed the final frontier for Lego... But i never imagined those red spacedudes were worth money. They are the worst, red is such a crappy color for space pirates... Benny is the greatest of all the master builders. Also, tiny lego sets were a godsend for dads on business trips coming home and bringing their kid a gift.
I love tiny builds. A big part of what I adore about the Advent Calendars. All the micro builds are just so much fun. The first one I got had lots of minifig scale toys. Like a rocket, remote control cars, a quad coptor drone, and a wind-up robot. Or sometimes you get a snowmobile or a tiny snow plow. And of course ever year they give a buildable Christmas tree. I loved the standing piano they included a year ago. And the most recent one had a gaming desktop computer setup and a big gamer chair. The way they cram so much detail and personality into less than a dozen parts is just amazing.
I've definitely come to enjoy the smaller sets more nowadays, especially as my shelf space becomes more and more of a premium. It's so much easier to find room for a helmet display or a nanoblock set than it is for the latest UCS vehicle.
I loveed the little robots and robo-hands.
Nah, it's fine. The pilots have the twin telepathy needed to fly in sync.
Not to mention the LEGO Toys'R'Us set with a truck and a shop selling plenty of miniature LEGO sets. There was also, the VERY miniature set from Bricktober 2015 that featured many small, modular buildings, amongst them a tiny Tor'R'Us shop.
Micro scale is my favourite scale for LEGO.
I also like some Tiny sets too heh, they save space and money lol 😅
The Duracell sets were a double collaboration with the Lego Star Wars sets.
Lego people having lego sets is quiet existential experience 💀
calling everything under 100 pieces "tiny" greatly shows, how things have changed. For Classic Town (1978-2000) the median piece count was around 75 and there were dozens with just 20. 6609 with just 17 pieces is probably the smallest to be shown in the catalogs
Never knew about the battery collab! Cool fun fact, I'm always learning neat stuff from this channel. :)
I grew up poor in the late 80s and early 90s. These little space sets were my jam. affordable enough for me to get one at Christmas or a birthday and had more than enough whimsical play value to keep me interested and engaged.
Bro's thumbnail took "built like a 1x1 lego piece" to a whole new level. 💀
Smaller can definitely be better.
3:14 my grandparents have this peace
9:00 We also have Ninjago City gardens in the employee set, and the temple of airjitzu in the real ninjago city Gardens.
I remember also that Paradisa of Lego System got many sets with very few pieces
I got the Futuron minifig pack back in the 80s :D
Still got those parts
There are still many new cheap $10 sets or even polybags that Lego puts out
6:45 I didn't know Lego partnered with Duracell
There's also a lego store frame set
I have the two smallest Blacktron 2 sets the Galactic Scout and Grid Trekkor.
I loved that line.
U and the Allied Avenger
The tie bomber manual saturation was all over the place
I had 885 and 886. I had 6807 too, but maybe it was 2nd hand because I don't remember the robot. And I had 1478... I love those wheels and still remember how they felt ❤
8:57 - I'm pretty sure I have that set. I had two of the Robin Hood sets and my brother had the bigger Lake Stronghold. I could never remember the name, though!
The other place you get mini sets is in the various Advent Calendars, of which I have two. Some of those builds are incredible - it's surprising just how few pieces it takes to build the Jawa Sandcrawler from Star Wars: A New Hope, or the Millennium Falcon.
6833 and 6832 at my parents dresser right now since they are checking all the lego we have at home. Good times with those space sets because of the green neon elements. Either the red or white series. Same for the blue and orange elements in that ice series.
9:30 you forgot the vip exclusive LEGO store, featuring a checkout counter, pick-a-brick wall and vip plaque
I'm pretty sure I have (part of) that Bionicle set from the Duracell promo
LOL, I had some of these space sets when I was a kid. Should do a video on microscale sets. I have all 8 of the Modular City-style Bricktober sets from Toys R Us.
There also exist a lego toys'r'us store where they sell lego. I have one, it was just a recoloring of another one which was yellow. Also it includes a semi truck.
i love creator set 30024. It's a minature truck with 56parts given as promo back in 2011 in most of the world. Funny enought it was given in poland as prize in quizes in small shops back in 2014?! Probably leftower stock.
I got the blacktron set i dropped it and built a moc like 4 times ended up just using for parts lol(the GWP one lol)
I have the tiny red exo-force walker. the power of Bricklink has made these regional exclusives not as exclusive lol
In Mexico, 2006, Nestlé and LEGO did a collaboration for toys (dunno if they did the same promotion in other countries ). I remember getting Green Toa Kongu. The weapon in the set was a kind of propeller. There were only three pieces, doesn't that make it one of the smallest sets?
Cool video😊
I had the Emrald express when I was younger
i wonder if someone ever created an overview of all official tiny versions of regular lego sets?
We would be here forever since star wars exists
9:38 There is a 4th. 40528 LEGO Brand Store. Although this one a GWP.
There is also a yellow castle in Lion Knights Castle
Oh god, yhe emerald expres was the best set i got it from my grandmother i was so much in love with thiis one lego set 3 bilds and if you get more you can make a whole train
I used to have that old lego train set

Love your videos 🎉❤

The vector detector was piloted by Hector, a detector selector and erector from the elector sector.

Bro looks like a 1x1 lego piece
YOOOOOOO I GOT THE EMERALD EXPRESS WHEN I WAS LIKE 7
Being an old LEGO fan, I have a number of 4-wide cars thant only have 30 parts

4:31 I have that bike piece
I have the clown and it is on my bedside table as he watches me when I sleep
Never been this earlier 😮😮
I have the train set with the 3 train builds
Surprised that the (cancelled ;-;) Cartoon Network collab series, Mixels, wasn't mentioned, especially since the Mixel with the most pieces only had 72
I've got 6887 as a child!
In the minecraft abandoned village from 38-40 the roof is shown when on the next page you build the roof
When are the mystery minifigures going to put out their stock?
They've been sold out since 2022. I do not plan to restock them.
Heyy, i've found a fail in a lego instruction. Idk if you already had in a Video but it's on Page 23 of the LEGO 76251 Infinity saga's Star-Lord's Helmet. On this Page at Step 25 is a random 2x1 tile floating and you can slightly read the 4x underneath. It Looks like they somehow copied it from the tile list from Step 24 but right onto the build itself. As I mentioned, I'm not sure if you already talked about it in a previous Video but I just found it while building :)
❤
so we got [thing that does not require batteries] + batteries before [thing that needs batteries] + batteries
Umm… Lego’s been making tiny sets since the early 1970s … years before Lego space was even an idea
I made the small lego store today. 😊
