    Colour corrected and graded in Premier Pro using FilmConvert.

    Wow! Justo wow, amazing footage, color is phenomenal, really love the post work. I also have Sigma 18-35 and now looking to switch from t3i to second-hand 7D.

    Wow! Just wow! This video was the final reason for my decision to buy this one over the 6D or a used 5DIII! 1080p 60fps looks great and I look forwad what Magic Lantern gets out of this beauty!
    Amazing work!

    Beautiful product...just gorgeous. I see the film is cropped and has that wide angle look. is that just 16x9 or did you use an anamorphic lens?Also, I'm primarily a FinalCut X user. You mention Premiere pro, which I have but haven't really played with, and FilmConvert. I'd really like to get a similar look and feel in FinalCut - what is the equivalent for FilmConvert?One last thing...are you using a steadycam in any of the shots? If so which one?Thanks in advance...I really do appreciate your time and shared knowledge.Dan

    hey awesome vid! how do you find the video quality in terms of its sharpness/softness? I've seen reviews that have said this cam has a soft look.

    • @HaydnDare_Photography
      @HaydnDare_Photography  8 лет назад

      +nate jay The video looks soft straight out of the camera, which doesn't really matter because I've found it's easy to sharpen.If you know what you're doing, then it's easy to work with, the image looks much softer here on RUclips than it does with the actual finished project sitting on my computer.

    Hey,Brilliant work! I am trying to acheive the visual style of this subtle flat cinema. I have installed cinestyle in my 70D.But i am having trouble working in the post production(basically colour grading and final render files) process. So,could you just please help me out a bit ?

    • @HaydnDare_Photography
      @HaydnDare_Photography  9 лет назад

      +Rishi Raj Mitra Hey there Rishi, the flat preset I used was the Technicolor Cinestyle, you can download it from the Technicolor website and install it using one of the programs that come on the disk with the camera (I forgot which one, but I found out through a video on here)
      Edit* Whoops, I read what you said wrong, ignore that.
      As for post production, grading and stuff, it all comes through practice, trial and error. Find your style and what you like. I used Filmconvert for colour grading, it's beautiful to use and looks great. It's not cheap though.

    This is the best video footage I've seen online so far from the 7D MKII. Been thinking of replacing my XC10 with this cam, but couldn't find any decent footage to judge it by. Looks like the 60fps holds up pretty well too?
    Two Questions:
    a) Did you use autofocus when mounted on the gimbal and if so, were you impressed?
    b) Which city is it? Looks like Portland if I had to guess, but never really been there. Definitely West Coast USA
    Thanks for posting!

    • @HaydnDare_Photography
      @HaydnDare_Photography  9 лет назад +1

      +Alex Kryszkiewicz For question one, no I didn't! Everything in this is manually focused. The auto focus is amazing, but it's still not perfect.
      And this is actually in and around Melbourne, Australia! The city and the areas surrounding are beautiful. If you want more information, all the ocean shots are all done along the Great Ocean Road and the forest and snow ones are done in the mountain ranges to the east of the city. I highly recommend exploring around if you come and visit :)

      @HaydnDare_Photography  8 лет назад

      +Corey Meath The dynamic range is what you'd expect for a Canon DSLR, it's great but there are better options if that's what you're after. This camera is very good in low light, that's saying something for a crop sensor.
